This book was adorable! Fast-paced and super cute, it read quickly and left me with a smile. Picture How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, but with a reality TV twist.
I give it 4.5 stars, but as halves are not allowed on Goodreads she gets the full five as I was more pleased than not.
I received this book at RT Booklovers' Convention in Reno.
I'm not usually into this type of book, but from page 1, I could not put this one down. I love the relatable, witty protagonist. The romance was the kind that made me giggle out loud and kick my feet like a 12-year-old (got me some wierd looks), and every time I thought I knew what was going on, a plot twist would pop up and spin me around. Cute, uplifting, sassy, and mildly maddening. I plan on re-reading this book very soon!
A different love story! Sneaks up on you so that you keep changing your mind about what is and is not happening to whom or with whom or about whom. Recommended for all readers of romance no matter what their ages.
I loved this book! I finished it in two days. The story had unexpected plot twists and the jokes were actually funny, which is hard to pull off in writing! Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to read a cute romance!
3.5 Stars Not bad overall. I did enjoy reading it. The characters were interesting and the plot had enough twist to prevent being completely predictable or boring.
This was a pretty dumb book written by someone who did not do much research on how reality tv dating shows operate. You can see how it will pan out pretty early and while there is something fun about Paige, the protagonist, she is not very smart or interesting. She clearly has no desire to be in the dating show, does whatever she wants and overall, the whole story is a mess full of plot holes big enoughto drive a truck through. Even her desire to continue working for this magazine makes no sense. She has no integrity, is a snoop and a liar and somehow whatever she does, as dumb and ill planned, is considered cute. The reality tv part is even worse- who allows contestants to keep their phones & use them indiscriminately then are surprised when info leaks out? There are huge swatches of time with no cameras around for Paige to wreak havoc - that's not how any reality tv works. The whole thing reads like a lazy rom com that was written by a person who has never watched a reality show and did not bother to do any research. Poor writing but a quick read if you don't really care what you are reading. 2.5 stars
I started reading this a long time ago, put it aside, and picked it up again. It was fantastic! I absolutely loved it. It’s a clean read and it’s fast paced. There are some twists and turns but I found it predictable anyway. Still, totally worth the read and I highly recommend it.
