Gabriel Wolfe and his partner, Eli Schochat have flown to Cambodia to assassinate an ex-Khmer Rouge warlord. By a freakish stroke of good fortune, Win Yah dodges the bullet that would have exploded his skull.
Wounded by a mine, Eli is captured, brutally beaten and taken into the forest to be executed. Gabriel must find her, evade recapture by the warlord’s heavily-armed gang, and get her to safety. Only then can he return to finish what Eli started.
This 25,000 word novella from best-selling thriller author Andy Maslen kicks off with high-powered action and doesn’t let up until the final page. Mines litter the forest - and the plot - causing trouble for everyone who wanders off the path.
How you’re helping Cambodia’s poorest children get a decent start in life
Andy wrote Minefield after visiting a rural school in northern Cambodia, whose grounds were carved out of a minefield. He is donating all royalties from the book to the Ponheary Ly Foundation (PLF).
The PLF was set up by Ponheary Ly, herself a survivor of the Cambodian genocide. It gives vulnerable children an education, as well as a full belly and a real chance of making the most of their potential.

An exciting novella as Gabriel is reunited with his former partner, the ex-Mossed siren Eli. They are in Cambodia , hunting a monster, a warlord who is particularly viscous and kills all before him. After setting up, Eli has the shot...and he bends down ..The bullet misses! Now it is a new game... All the action and suspense of a novel, but you are able to read in an entertaining afternoon!
Minefield by Andy Maslen is a neat novella about Gabriel Wolfe and his new partner from Israel. It's not always easy to kill someone and avoid the minefield at the same time. I must say that I rather enjoy these books and I have collected all of them so I can read them inbetween others. They are all fast paced and filled with intriguing plots, I am curious to see where they will go now that Gabriels life has taken a turn both for the worse and for the better in one quick move.
This is a novella, so the plot line is very focused. Mossad agent Eli is in Cambodia. Her assignment is to assassinate a high mucky muck who is terrorizing the poor people. She misses, only because he is distracted and turns his head and the bullet goes whizzing past. Now she needs to escape. Land mines are everywhere in Cambodia and Eli steps on one. Fortunately, only the detonator exploded and messed up her knee cap big time. Did I mention they have leopards in Cambodia? Sometimes leopards can be your friends. Gabriel is tasked with getting her out of there and to medical attention. Then he needs to go back and finish the job. Which he does.
This novella re-unites Gabriel Wolfe with his ex-Mossad partner Eli Schochat in war-torn Cambodia. You'll experience their chase of a rogue war lord and also get an accurate history lesson of several invaders laying landmines throughout Southeast Asia. Unfortunately, these poorly-mapped landmines get left behind after the conflicts and pose a threat to innocents. As always, author Andy Maslen has brilliantly researched weaponry and tactics to give the reader an inside view. Thankfully, proceeds from this book will aid those victims.
Gabriel Wolfe and his partner, Eli Schochat are in Cambodia to take care if some small business and Eli misses her target as the bandit leader makes a last sec move when a wild pig startles him. She is captured, but escapes and hides in ruined temple as infection from a injured knee runs wild. She manages to contact Gabriel and he heads out to rescue her. More action as the bandit and e of his men come searching for Eli. She even escapes death by the timely intervention of a leopard. Recovery and rest and Gabriel goes out to finish the job. A short read in the Gabriel Wolfe series.
This one stays with me ~ the skulls floating up through the mud ~ rising and turning ~ YUCK!!!! I need to bleach my memory ~ this one really hit me. All those lives ~ lost . . . . because someone in power really didn't care if they lived or died. Gabriel to the rescue ~ on a motorbike! Insanity runs in many forms . . . but justice remains true. thank you, Mr Maslen, for bringing these horrifics to our attention ~ I'm not being sarcastic, I mean it: people 'visit' these areas as they've become boho chic and popular ~ please remember people died throughout the country . . .
Andy, you've done it again....another book that I couldn't put down, this series just gets better and better....now what do I read? ......Oh yes Stella Cole is out and about so I think I'll track her down she what ruptions she's causing or is it stopping......

This series is so great at keeping you wanting more. You finish a book and want more. I use the word more a lot but that is what this series did to me I couldn't put it down. I am going to check out the other books by Andy Maslen and see if my desire to read without stopping continues. Bill

Cambodia, the killing fields. Gabriel Wolfe ex SAS operator, now a covert operator has a mission in this now peaceful but unfortunately mine riddled fields. His mission? Eliminate a viscous warlord. Fast paced, full of action. Enjoyed immensely.
This novella was a quick read on a hot, sultry summer afternoon. I enjoyed the story, the characters, and the pace. Looking forward, as always, to the next Gabriel Wolfe novel. Thanks to Andy Maslen for writing such entertaining stories.
This one moved smoothly from one point to another. Unfortunately it was so good it was finished in only two days. I hope Andy can write some more of these Gabriel Wolfe stories.
Another great short from Andy. It's good how he always manages to subsume the reader into the story to make you feel as if you are actually watching over the character's shoulder.
Another great story by Andy maslen I think I have read seven and every one has a different setting so you do not get bored love gabriel wolf's outlook on life Justice is always served
Great read and attention grabbing from the very start. As good if not better than the first four books that I read. Strongly recommend this book to anyone.
This was definitely edge-of-the-seat page-turning excitement from start to finish. I am thoroughly enjoying this series of Andy Maslen books and I’m now looking forward to book 8. Thank you Andy for another fantastic book.
Too short, predictable. Otherwise a nice easy read that follows the Preceding series. Good character deve!Olmert as usual. Needs more complexities in plot.
Not too many pages of dreams , thoughts and descriptions this time. Besides the exciting reading you also learn so much from his books. On to the next one.
