This is my first book in this series and loved it.
Loved it. Even though I’ve not read the first 2 books I understood everything. But I’m going to jump on the fist 2 books tight away because I want to know how it all started.
This book was awesome and lots of action and suspense.
Loved Bones and Ari together. Ari knew what she wanted and she wanted Bones. And Bones was such a protective Alpha.

Adore Ms.Stones writing .
She’s very talented and I’m very grateful I found her but the
“Mariani Crime Family” have me wishing at least some of her books were KU.
Bones ( I personally prefer the “Bones” feathered in the ” Night Huntress” series Jeanine Frost) isn’t necessarily a bad guy but there isn’t much to him either.
We learn more about him sure but there still isn’t much more to him then we see in “Angel’s” book.
A man who works just about 24/7 who jumps when his boss says jump,is careful and thorough,makes sure he’s loyal to all the right ppl and covers his rear as much as he does the ppl he’s paid to protect.
Not much else . Until “Ari” comes along all Bones does is eat,and sleep his work . NOTHING else.
To be fair he hasn’t the time but there doesn’t seem to really be anything there .
Is this a romance ? I don’t see it .
Ari seems to stay lonely, horny and or self pitying and that’s about it when she’s not getting into Bones pants . Then one night she’s does . They F a few times he brakes promises about trying to get her to work out or eat more.
She sounded F’ing anorexic between the drugs un the last book where she sounds like she barely weighs a 100lbs and here where she’s refusing to eat ,better getting drunk I guess,and stops eating pizza after barely a slice . And yet all we hear is how sexy she is over and over and over .
Any way after having sex a few times and barely any time spent together ,and Ari like her sister being soo “cool” and not asking questions ,supposedly their in love by the end of the book.
Have sex a few times, barely spend any time together, doesn’t get a chance to really know each ,but it’s love 💕
Bones just felt like the big faithful dog and Ari was the horny air head that “loved” him.
Still little to no world building . I personally wasn’t given a reason to like or care about either or the ppl .
Ok, respect Bones for his loyalty to “Angel” but Ari was just a valid two dimensional air head.
Ms. Stone might be good but her characters here are not and neither is there story . At least not as a romance it’s not.

Book 3 in the Mariani Crime Family series was just as action packed and exciting as the first two books! This book is about Bones (of course!), the best friend of Angel, and Ariana, sister of Markie. The beginning of this story overlaps the ending of book 2, just a bit. This book could probably be read as a stand alone, but there is an ongoing story line that continues from one book to the next. Reading the books in order will definitely add to the reading experience.
Bones had an unusual childhood. He was raised by his mother, after his father disappeared. At age 10, he made a fateful decision to defend a boy in his school. This boy turned out to be Angel, and Bones was approached by Angel's great uncle, Carlo, about providing protection for Angel, in exchange for the Family taking care of his family. This turned out to be the beginning of Bones' association with the Mariani Crime Family, and the beginning of his friendship with Angel.
Bones is loyal to the Family, and to Angel, but when Ariana catches his eye, he has a hard time staying away. He knows that he should distance himself from her, because it's dangerous for someone in his position to get too close to anyone. But Ariana is as stubborn as Bones is loyal. She knows what she wants and is determined to have it.
This book is about family, both blood and not. It's about loyalty, and trust. There was a lot going on in this story, but it was so well written, it was still easy to follow. This story wasn't as emotional as the last, but was full of excitement, and loaded with surprises. The entire series has kept me on the edge of my seat, and this book just upped the ante. Totally a must read!

I started reading Breaking Bones yesterday. The plan was to finish tonight. My subconscious had other ideas. I kept waking up and reading a few chapters. I would go back to sleep. Repeat. At six this morning I fell into a blissful sleep thanks to a fantastic ending to a dramatic story.
I am not one to read the mafia genre. Angel changed that for me. Breaking Bones convinced me even more that not all mafia books the same. The Mariani Crime Family is so much more than just mafia business.
The danger maybe from the mafia, but love, friendship and hope are what really make the story. Bones has been Angel's friend and protector since he was ten years old. Bones carries a lot of guilt for past actions.
He is tired of being that guy. He is also falling for Ariana, Markie's sister. He knows caring puts her at risk. But can anyone just turn off their feelings? It gets worse. Bones discovers someone wants her, and is willing to pay. Danger Readers Danger!!!!!
How does a guy protect the girl, protect the friend, appease the mafia and live to tell about it? He does it by being good at his job. He does it by being smarter than the other guy. He does it because deep down he is a good guy.
The story may sound simple, but their are a lot of mouth dropping shockers. The mastermind will shock readers. How were secrets kept so long?? Why were they kept??? Why tell them now? Why does he want to kill certain people??
I am hooked on the series.

If you have not started to read Harley Stones mafia series you are missing out! I love, love, love her MC series and her mafia series is just as great. Breaking Bones is book three in the series and I could not wait to read it... I may have asked her when it would be coming out. I was silly and decided to start it late in the evening to read " just a couple of chapters" famous last words! I look up and it is 3am and I am starting the last chapter. She writes the kind of books that you just get sucked into and don't realize the time.
Bones is the bodyguard and solider in the Mariani crime family, he is loyal and understands the life he choose. Ari has had a rocky life and is trying to rebuild it after a band relationship and choices. She did not expect to fall for Bones who guards her sisters fiance but it happens aways. Bones is bound and determined to stay away from her but when their chemistry ignites there is no looking back. This book has all the feels and heart flutters. There is steamy romance and suspense. It has the great Mafia elements and a great story. There are moments in this book that you can literally feel the emotion and just enough angst to make things interesting.If you are looking for a book that will catch you from page one then get this book! Dont be a wise guy and miss out on this great read!

I loved this latest book in the Mariani Crime Family series. This is the story of Ariana and Bones. Bones is Angel's bodyguard and best friend since Elementary school. He has been part of the family since he was a child. He is constantly busy doing things for both families and doesn't have time for anything in regards to his personal life. Ariana hasn't had the easiest year. She is determined to make the best of the new start in life she was given. She has the hugest crush on Bones and wants nothing more to jump his Bones (lol) and see what could happen between the two of them. He constantly things about Ariana and tries to keep his distance but he can't resist the temptation and falls head first. Ariana is very stubborn she isn't giving up Bones and how she feels about him without a fight. Together they are unstoppable and so perfect for each other. Their story was so good...I was hooked from beginning to end. There was action, suspense, hot steamy moments, and very sweet moments. I loved everything about their story! I would recommend this story to everyone...its a great book. Well done!!

We've met Bones in the previous book in the series Making Angel, he's Angel's best friend and body guard. (BTW, you don't have to have read the previous books to read this story, but there are a couple of points that connect to things mentioned in those books - and they're great reads!) Bones has been dedicated to "the family" since he was 10 years old. He has no time for anything else other than taking care of both his families - work and blood. But he can't stop thinking about Ari. Ariana has had a rough year, but she is slowly getting back on track and plotting how she can get into a certain body guard's pants!
I loved the way these two just accepted each other. There was no unnecessary drama or judgement between the couple even if one wanted more and one wished they had more to offer. There is one heck of a twist that I didn't see coming...wow!
This was a great read that kept my attention from start to finish.

I don’t usually read mafia stories, but every now and then I come across one that I have to read. This is one of those times. This is the third book in the series. You can read this as a stand-alone, but all the characters are intertwined so reading the others would help. Plus, they are great reads as well. They are available in KU. It’s a win-win.
Bones, the loyal bodyguard falls for the sister of his best friend’s finance. Ari’s crush turns into something more.
Harley also writes an MC series, Dead Presidents, which I am addicted. I love anything she writes. For me, she is a 1-click author.

This is the third book in the series and each book gets better and better! While it is part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone, but why would you want to miss the other amazing books in this series.
This is Bones and Ari’s story. Bones has appeared in previous books as Angels best friend and body guard. Ari and Bones are such a good match, they compliment each other perfectly! I loved this book, and hope to read more.

I love series so much. Franco and Ariana are to die for. Even though I missed reading book two, I quickly got back in the swing of this book. I love the characters in this book and it's amazingly written. I'm excited for what's next in this series.

I loved the whole series. There is drama, humor, hatred, and most of all love. Harley has done a great job with this series and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves books. You don't even have to be a Mafia fan to love them!

Bones and Ari's story.
Best to read book 1 first as the 1st couple from book 1 feature heavily in this book.
A good story, bits of humour but also a vulnerable heroine under all her bravado.
