I’m a husband and author, and I may be a little religious about both. I like writing hot sex and encapsulating it in the delicate white silk of devotion, commitment, and psychotic obsession.

Alludes to having bdsm with the tags, but no true scenes. No actual sex scenes in the book, only flashback memories by the h.

Good read, solid characters. Wasn’t quite what I was expecting, but wasn’t disappointed in the least. Moving right on to the sequel as this leaves off with a cliffhanger.

Lucian Bane returns to his roots in erotic romance with Preacher Dom. He brings characters that are both facing challenges in life that the bring them to make hard decisions. Daniel is returning to life outside of prison walls and is guided by his faith and steadfast beliefs in God. Nineveh is trying to escape a life of darkness and depravity, she knows she needs to change but doesn't know who can guide her.

A chance meeting puts Daniel in Nineveh's path. Daniel knows in his heart that it is God's will that he help her find her way. He is determined to make her see the goodness in herself and learn her worth through his kindheartedness and God's word. Together they become fast friends. Their chemistry is palpable and the slow burn heat is undeniable.

As Nineveh is learning new things, with bible in hand, Daniel has taken to his own research and is trying to understand the pain and pleasure link that Nineveh speaks about. What he finds, stirs something deep inside him; you can sense the palpable chemistry and the slow burn heat.

Master of the cliffhanger, Lucian leaves us praying for more of this delicious romance that is sure to boil over soon!

Enticingly Seductive & Beautifully Crafted

Daniel is a man recently released from prison with a heart that yearns for the right path, seeking God and his wisdom as he returns to Hell, MI. He's no innocent preacher but a man with deep convictions, a heart of compassion, and the willingness to serve God's purpose even if it hurts. The best part? He's not perfect. Daniel cusses, has wayward thoughts, and struggles with his sexual cravings. He's a sinner with a past looking for purpose in his life.

Enter Nineveh.

She's a born sinner deeply entrenched in the world of BDSM and a dom who's done nothing but tear her down. She lingers in uncertainty, self-doubt, and the pain of an abusive relationship. Taken advantage of, used, and treated as a whore with no worth, it's no wonder that Nineveh thinks she's not capable of redemption. And yet, the innocence and burning desire for more are always present.

When the paths of these two souls cross, a fire for God, purpose, truth, and love will place them on a fiery path of need and desire that burns in their hearts for not only one another but true acceptance and trust. Can they find common ground or will they both succumb to the enticing temptation that burns between them?

Incredible story that I couldn't put down. A book that will speak to your soul and arouse your passion. Highly recommended!

Lucian Bane has done it again. Preacher Dom was one of those stories where you can't look away, your eyes are fixed on the words while your brain is yelling to keep reading. That you can't stop until the end. Well I listened and all I can say is READ THIS BOOK!
I absolutely loved Daniel and Nineveh's interactions. They way that her character blossomed and grew like a flower. How she pushed not only Daniel but herself. I will see be sitting on pins and needles waiting for the continuation of this story.

Daniel is a preacher and is back in Hell, Michigan after 7 years in prison. He knows he is here for a reason and doesn’t know what it is until he meets Nineveh. Nineveh is a sub who wants to find a way out of a contract with an abusive Dom. Can Daniel navigate his way through the BDSM world to save her? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama. An entertaining read.

Great story!

I am already a fan of Lucian Bane's writing, so I knew I would eventually get to this series. It is interesting how the story is already underway, in that we meet Daniel already at the place to do what he feels God wants him there for. He meets Nineveh, and a slow, steady paced story is taking place. The danger and fear that she has tried to escape grabs your heart and Daniel is determined to give her what she needs, but without any fear that she can say her safe word, and not be respected. I can't wait to read book 2, to see just how far they take this.

His conviction and devotion… will he be her very salvation?

How does one adequately depict what an amazing and refreshing read this book was… totally humbling at the same time. I don’t do short reviews very well… so bare with me as I gather the words needed to give this book it’s due.

Reading for me is more than the words the author has graciously gifted on the pages of their book. It’s not just a story crafted. It’s an experience. It’s a chance to delve deep into what makes characters behave the way they do. It’s human behaviour, in all it’s darkness, light and richness! I adore reading! I absolutely love books that give me pause, give me more to contemplate. I'm an avid reader of all genres... and always open to reading whatever captures my attention. What happens when you find another has added you into a new author’s group that you’ve never heard of before? Do you take a chance at reading new words or do you remove yourself thinking a mistake was made? Decisions, decisions? I do love finding new authors., A chance is taken and I find myself opening a different book co-written by Lucian Bane and Mason Sabre (Cuts Like An Angel Bk 1)...that absolutely guts you from the get go…but you instinctively know you’ve found another author (or two) that is going to provide you many stories to think hard on. I digress… that’s another book to finish and formulate thoughts on. STOP… let’s back track to read PREACHER DOM because something exciting is coming soon… Preacher Dom 2.

PREACHER DOM: the synopsis gave me pause… my mind was already looking at the correlation of Biblical words/names/places and how it would mesh with the so called perceptions of the “sins of the flesh” and BDSM. Now I have a story that has captured my attention and then some. There will be much to contemplate here, as Daniel and Nineveh find their way. I can’t wait for more to come. This is truly an epic journey for both characters. They each provide a solace and need for each other. One they are hesitate to explore because of how they perceive their roles, their faith and their individual background story. Yet, to find that they need to have that special someone, that inadvertently walks into their life or is it God’s guidance at play? The need to have that special someone in your corner -
Standing in front of you, guarding and protecting...
Standing beside you, listening, caring and fighting battles for you and with you ,when you are at your most vulnerable...
Standing behind you, watching you grow from strength to strength.

How much can one woman endure, before she loses all hope of finding her way out of the evil madness and abuse to find her salvation? How much will it take one man to explore the temptation in his way?

Walk within Daniel and Nineveh’s footsteps - it’s a temptation book, one MUST EXPERIENCE!! Only then, can you fully appreciate their tumultuous journey and just how amazing people are - in their strengths to overcome circumstance and abuses, their search for forgiveness and redemption in their own way and time. We can falter, we can take wrong turns, we can test the limits of our interactions but when surrounded by care and support and absolute unconditional faith - anything becomes possible.

PREACHER DOM is a wonderful page-turning book for the weekend. It’s a melting pot of emotional angst, despair, hurt and let’s go there - staggering sexual chemistry that is muted into a slow, intense burn, a temptation yet they deny their craving of each other. Their verbal dialogue is tones of serious, yet a light hearted naivety and witted charm. Descriptive scenes as Lucian Bane weaves the beautiful devotional verse into this amazing story. A story that will keep you turning pages wanting more.

A gifted writer, that you will follow their words into the depths of darkness, ride the emotional and spiritual roller coaster, to find the light at the end… but wait… Lucian leaves you hanging for the moment. NO!!! Ok... like all good stories there is so much more to tell. For any reader, don't just read reviews, read the blurb - if it captures your attention, grab that book and read with an open mind. You just might find that book that resonates with your heart and soul, that gives you much to ponder. It will be so worth your reading time and the anticipated wait of Preacher Dom 2, to continue traveling with Daniel and Nineveh.

An unforgettable spiritual journey - simply amazing

Once again Lucian Bane has left me speechless with his new novel PREACHER DOM. He will certainly turn the world of erotica upside down with this one. It is totally different from any other that I have read in this genre. To sum it up in one word ... EXCEPTIONAL.

This is the story of Daniel and Niveneh, two characters who are both renewing their lifestyles due to different circumstances. Daniel has just been released from prison after serving seven years for his crime and Niveneh is trying to leave behind a life of abuse and mistreatment. Their paths cross and they both begin a spiritual journey that will change them in more ways that what they expected.

Another EPIC read from Lucian, one that kept me fully entranced from beginning to end. He has used his love of scripture to enhance and deepen the strength of his story and characters. Daniel has a deep belief in God, he believes that it is God who has led him to Niveneh to assist her in turning her life around. Niveneh places her trust in Daniel and finds that she begins to awaken her mind and body to experiences that she has never had.

Remaining faithful to his style of writing, Lucian has brought intensity, suspense and a touch of passion to Daniel and Niveneh's journey. Yes there is sexual tension between the two, but Lucian has the ability to make it feel beautiful and powerful, without turning it into something that was portrayed as a weakness of character.

A superb read that has me wanting so much more. Leaving the ending on a cliffhanger will ensure that Daniel and Niveneh's journey will continue on. I cannot wait to share some more kool-aid with Gramma G in the next book and to see where Lucian takes this journey. This is the WORDMASTER at his absolute best, writing a story that will leave you feeling at you too are on a spiritual journey.

Absolutely captivating & different story. This is not your run of the mill plot by any means & I found it to be completely engaging at all levels. One of the many things I especially liked about this book, is the time the author takes to lay foundations: of the characters, of the plot, of the increasing intensity of the H/h interactions & buildup to a deeper relationship. There is no insta-anything in this novel & that is a refreshing change of pace I appreciated. The hero is Daniel: a man firmly believing in God & Christ - of the impact they have on our worldly bodies & our otherworldly souls. Daniel has a calling to adhere to the commands & teachings of God & Christ & use the strength of character & spirit he believes they give him to help others. The heroine is Nineveh: a hairs breath from fracturing into tiny fragments due to psychological & physical abuse by her Dom. Daniel is committed to trying to help Nineveh in any way she needs, but Daniel's way & beliefs are nothing she's ever experienced before & this makes her skittish & wary of his proffered aid. This is the crux of the story: is Daniel able to help Nineveh the way she needs? Is Nineveh able to accept & use Daniel's help to prevent shattering & possibly heal?
While there are many references to the Bible, God & Christ, as well as using the Word & their way & teachings to guide a person's path, actions & deeds, no where did I find it intrusive, preaching or offensive. All of this as integral to the characters as well as the plot of the book, however, again do not let that prevent you from reading this book. The plot & characters shine, you are invested in, & care about, them. I found myself hoping with fingers crossed for Daniel & Nineveh to successfully walk a path together.
(P.S. I loved the interview near the end!)

There are authors who when they put out a new title, you know what you are going to get. Then there are authors like Lucian Bane, who has no pattern, no formula. When you open a new book by Bane, expect the unexpected. With Preacher Dom, Mr. Bane tells the tale of Daniel, freshly out of prison and looking to get his life back on track so he returns to his hometown of Hell, MI and Nineveh, a woman for whom life took a turn into the dark and she is resigned to find her way out, no matter how she has to do it.

In this start to a new series, Mr. Bane paints a picture of two people who come together from opposing paths, one looking for redemption, the other looking for purpose and find the unlikely: that they have what the other needs . Daniel is a man of strong beliefs and moral certainty. He makes no excuses for who he is and what he has done, following the path that God is leading him on. Daniel is the mountain no force can move. Nineveh is more of an enigma. Smart yet not worldly, strong yet cowed. A character whose depths are hidden under her circumstances. Each come from very different situations though each has something to teach the other.

Preacher Dom focuses on the meeting between Daniel and Nineveh and his fight to remove her from the dark place she has found herself. Lucian Bane uses his unique style to build tension, create bonds and pull his readers into his world. He opens up a window to a different way of looking at a genre that many have read but not in his way. As is par for the course with Mr. Bane, the story ends just as a new and exciting "chapter" opens up for his characters, leaving the reader begging for more.

~ Practicing what he wants to preach ~

Daniel has all the faith he has been collecting during his seven years of incarceration and is looking to help someone. Trying to reconnect with his old life in Hell, Michigan, he eats at a diner he used to frequent with his Gramma G after noticing a building nearby he had seen in a dream, Sodom and Gomorrah. Having mastered the “disciplined art of praying,” he returns to what the diner waitress had referred to as the “devil’s den” and proceeds to “pray it down to the ground.” He encounters Nineveh outside, who has clearly been physically abused. But Daniel did not just see and understand that, he also recognized an angel who needed his help. There begins a soul-searching journey between a purposed but life-naive male and a woman who has experienced too much thanks to her boyfriend Darius and his doings. Between them is a healthy exchange of spiritual message, goodness, hope, and support. But Daniel has also been doing some research on his own to bring himself up to speed, and maybe this is what is necessary for them to be on a more even footing together. This story ends in a cliffhanger, but in the most interesting and enticing way. Looking forward to the second part of this series!

This is the 1st book in the Preacher Dom series featuring the amazing captivating story that grabs you from the very beginning and keeps you turning the pages because of how compelling the story is. Daniel is a man who feels the call of the lord so he follows his commands and his teachings. Daniel has just been released from prison after serving 7yrs in jail he returns to Hell Michigan and he's seeking God's direction his purpose for his new life. Daniel is led to Sodom and Gomorrah the towns BDSM club this is where he meets Nineveh a woman who's trapped in an abusive situation with no way out. Daniel believes God led him to Nineveh for a reason so he's not afraid to enter the den of sin to rescue her and Daniel is committed to helping in any way that Nineveh needs. Daniel's beliefs and his ways are like nothing that she's ever experienced before so this makes her nervous and wary of him and his offer of help. I don't want to say anymore and ruin it for anyone else with spoilers. You really need to read this AMAZING captivating attention grabbing story to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

This is definitely Lucian stepping outside of the box with this book. I honestly didn't think I would like it because how he brought in the religious aspect of it. BUT, I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. How it made me feel. I felt connected to Nineveh in some way. Gah its hard to explain. So bare with me lol. I mean, she believes in God but not knowing a lot about God but still believes in her own way. Just like me. She is a lost soul and Daniel is helping her find her way. I felt warm inside. Like I was being wrapped in a blanket while reading this. I never felt that before. It gave me peace inside too. Like its ok to not be perfect because God loves all.
As I progressed into the book it just got better and better. The sexual tension between these two is a scorcher WOW!! And as Nineveh was trying to explain to Daniel her desires and for him willing to understand and learn, I was ecstatic. That's a true DOM and a true man in my eyes. I can't wait for the second book as I know its gonna get steamy HOT!!

Preacher Dom.

I've read all of this authors books and he's an awesome writer. This series has a unique concept of Daniel who has just gotten out of jail and he knows , God has a mission for him. Daniel isn't really a preacher, but a man who loves the Lord. God's led him to pray over a BDSM club and runs into a woman who has obviously been abused. After meeting Daniel, she decides to run away from her Dom and ends up staying with Daniel and his gramma. In this book, something happens to where they need to leave the town. Daniel decides he's going to read up on the lifestyle that Nineveh was in and how it ended up putting her in a very abusive contract. Then 90% of the rest of this book in the series is sex and healing Nineveh from the abuse. Trust me,,, Mr Bane knows how to write awesome sexy scenes , but I just wanted more of the story of these two characters,,, out of the bedroom ,,,because they both are very colorful characters. Which is the only reason for taking one star away.

Being a very imperfect person, who loves the Lord. Daniel needs to work on not saying GD so much. I can have a toilet mouth on me sometimes but GD is the one, I do everything I can, NOT to say. It takes everything I have not to say it when I stub my toes.

Divine Intervention. ~. I will say I was a little apprehensive diving in to this book due to the subject matter as Lucian is known to push the boundaries from time to time and I wondered where he would take it. I can say I am not surprised that he once again has delivered a well thought out methodical plan to show you how GOD fits in to every aspect of ones life be it from daily living to the soul deep love that comes between a man and a woman. It started out a little slow for me however I was engrossed from page 1 as I had to see where he was leading me. The pain from denial, the struggle with want all combined with what GOD would want from Daniel is amazing to see. Ninevah is a struggling submissive who feels she has no right to GOD or the love he has for her. This isn’t the beginning of a story I can’t wait to see the conclusion of. The push pull of their relationship is a site to behold and what a cliff hanger. Discover for yourself and read this book...I’ve already gotten Preacher Dom 2 so I can see what’s next.

A fantastic new spin on romance

Daniel is trying to readjust to normal life after being in prison for 7 years. He has found his faith and is praying for guidance when he runs into Nineveh.
Nineveh is in an abusive D/s relationship and is trying to survive her way out. When things turn for the worse, Daniel rescues her. As they learn about each other and more from one another - attraction grows between them, even though they are both fighting it. Will they be able to save one another and let their relationship grow?

Warning: this book does end in a cliffhanger

Lucian has floored me with this book - it was completely different from what I expected and I loved it. He is a completely new author to me and I will definitely be reading more of his stories. He won me over with the way he developed the story, the characters, and their relationship. I can’t wait to see where he takes this story

Ninevah's view of God that was honest and quirky
by sewsummore

This was a quirky story of a woman called Nineveh, who had lost her way and had falling into a relationship with an evil man who was her Dom. She meets a stranger named Daniel who had just been released from prison. Daniel has an intimate relationship with God and he was praying when they met. When her dom tells her that he has another man who will join him when they scene, she knows that she will never survive his sadistic punishments and runs away only to be found by . Daniel. He helps her by giving her a place to stay and through their conversations he realizes that she needs help to discover God's plan for her. Though this is a religious story it relates to people in out modern world. Though I am not a religious person I found the story interesting and at times compelling. Nineveh has an interesting view of God and the way she connects with him that was honest and quirky, this astounds Daniel in it's simplicity.

So, so utterly different and absorbing that I am unsure where to begin! All I can say is Preacher Dom book 1 was an unexpected pleasure, an interesting moment in an overcrowded genre, an educational glimpse at the ideas of the lifestyle as misuse versus correct implementation, a thread to sew the beauty back into the genre.

TBH I was captivated by how the story was expertly wrapped in it's religious symbolism, how Daniel, like biblical Daniel, remains faithful to his God, how he struggles with his feelings for Nineveh, how he also sought knowledge, enough to learn about Nineveh's pain/pleasure in the lifestyle and his eventual desire to try it (so it seems but sadly the story ends there and you have to buy book 2 to find out if this is true). Well, as I am completely hooked I will let you know when I have finished reading it!

In short, a captivating and completely different read, not the usual lifestyle story, but a refreshing and exciting take on the genre. Absolutely loved it.

Daniel, newly released from 7 years in prison, arrives home to Hell, Michigan. Daniel met God in prison when he was seeking a new way of life and upon his return vowed to spend his life in service to God. He believed his first service was to close down the BDSM Club in town, Sodom and Gomorrah. He meets Nineveh while he is staking out the club and finds she needs help to escape a bad situation with her Dom. She is trapped in the lifestyle and being abused and he knows this is the first service God needs him to perform. In the process of rescue he finds he has fallen for Nineveh and discovers how broken she is. Daniel and Nineveh are the beginning of a love story, they don’t quite know what to do with each other but the feelings have captured them and with this beginning they both change and find the courage to a new life. This is an amazing story, not unusual for Author Lucian Bane who will lay it out and draw you in until you find you cannot escape. And you won’t want to either. I’m onto Book 2, can’t wait.

The beginning of an interesting love story

I started this book believing that it would be a taboo man of the cloth treat, but found it to be so much more.

Daniel, the preacher, finds himself back in Hell, Michigan after 7 year stint in prison. He knows that he is there for a higher purpose but isn’t clear on what it is until he receives a divine clue by the name Nineveh, a wayward Sub looking to find a way out of her contract with an abusive Dom. Daniel doesn’t understand her world of pleasure and pain and Nineveh is sure that God has forgotten her.

I love the slow burn of this book. I love the perfectly symbolic names like Hell and Paradise and Sodem & Gomorrah. I love the wordy head games and the way these two damaged souls are slowly drifting towards each other like melted wax. No insta-love here. And I love how they each have something to teach the other.

Bring on book two. 8:00 in the sauna room can’t come soon enough.

I HAVE to let this be known. This is the first time I have ever read and enjoyed reading anything from Lucian Bane.
This book have left me dripping with questionable thoughts of Daniel and Nineveh’s chemistry is SOOOO palpable. I definitely had a tall glass of ice water close by, along with an oscillating fan.

Now. Is just me? But isn’t Nineveh a wicked city in the Bible, just like Sodom & Gomorrah?
Their are so many Biblical references in this book. It made me pick up my bible a couple of times to verify several biblical aspects of this book.

PREACHER DOM will certainly turn the world on its ear with this one. It is totally different from any other that I have read. And I will definitely be coming back for more. I’m looking forward to seeing more from LB.

I voluntarily received an advanced copy of this book via Booksprout and any opinions expressed within this review are solely and uniquely made by me and I am happily leaving this review.

This is the first book I've read by Lucian Bane so I had no idea what to expect and from everything I've read, that seems to be his norm even from regular readers. Preacher Dom book 1 is different from anything I've read. Same genre but seen through fresh eyes and a whole new take. Daniel has just been released from prison after seven years and living with his grandmother. Nineveh is in a relationship with a sadistic, abusive Dom. One praying for a purpose the other looking for a way out. There's an innocence that is lightly painted over the entire picture to me. And even though each o these two characters have been through their own Hell, they have something they can teach each other. In the process, there's a slow burn of chemistry between the two that just keeps building. Now that I've found him, I intend to look for the next book in the series and work it into my schedule. This was a pretty great read.

Genre: suspense

Well, Daniel is an interesting character in that he is very connected to God but also that he is finding himself fighting an attraction to Nineveh . His need to protect her over rides his desire for her. Nineveh is an interesting character in that she recognizes she made poor choices and she is prepared to suffer for 6 more months until she can be free (or dead). Daniel saves her from Darius who has a long reach, so I am not sure how they are going to beat him. After the mess Daniel left, when Darius took Nineveh, there is definitely going to be trouble for him in the next book.

This book is more of a suspense genre even though BDSM is a component of the plot. There are no steamy scenes and the development is really about the trust building between the characters. Daniel and Nineveh are not together as a couple so there is a lot of development to come in the next book.

This is a unique telling of a man of God with a dark past, Daniel. He is on a journey, seeking redemption. His calling leads him home where he believes his purpose there is to shut down a BDSM club. He crosses paths with Nineveh, a lost soul searching for a way out of a lifestyle of iniquity. Daniel is inexplicably drawn to Nineveh, (spiritually and sexually) and determined to save her.
Lucians character descriptions, their inner turmoil, struggles, gains and developments always pull me in, hook, line and sinker. It doesn’t take long to become emotionally invested in their lives and stories.
If you’re looking for a sexy, provocative, thought provoking tale, I would definitely recommend this book! A page turning must read!
Will Daniel save Nineveh, the town, himself? I am so looking forward to book two!

This is a wonderful book that sees two people from different backgrounds coming together. Daniel is a strong person with set beliefs looking for meaning in his life whilst Nineveh has been used and abused by a bad dom in the BDSM lifestyle. I really love the way this author writes; I was captivated from the start with this book having no choice other than to sit and read it in one reading session. The relationship between these two main characters is fascinating and it’s a delight to watch them help each other to grow. They want to learn as much as they can about the others lifestyle so that they can help each other. I loved everything about this story except for the ending which now has me needing to read book 2!
