Ghost Town

Forced to live with her grandparents in the Midwest on the outskirts of a real-life ghost town Neosho Falls in Kansas she struggles to fit in. Determined to make the most out of her newfound psychic abilities, she investigates only to find a ghost that isn’t interested in her help all while learning of a longtime family secret.

Getting lost in a good story has always been my favorite way to escape and I hope to create more worlds for others to escape to. I have a love for all things paranormal and strange, which I think translates into my stories. I also love nothing more than challenging the norms on occasion, so don't be surprised if you find characters that aren't what you would traditionally think in my worlds. No matter what, though, I want them to be relatable, even the villains. Because we are all the villain in someone else's story.

Willow may see ghosts, but when you are a teenager in a new school, talking to “yourself” never goes over very well. School gossip, and one bully in particular, will focus on her odd behavior and ridicule her at every turn. Regardless, she does make a wonderful friend in Shane, an outcast himself. Along with his help, she will set to free Jack from an old closed-down and abandoned school. Her lack of experience in helping ghosts may be lacking, but her willingness will help her through. This is a cute YA paranormal mystery, a little reminiscent of Ghost Whisperer. I will definitely read the next one in this series.

I love this book so much I don't usually like to read but this made me want to read all day long

Willow has been orphaned after a car wreck kills both of her parents. In addition to this horrific loss, she has also had to leave her life in California to go to small town Kansas to live with her grandparents. As if this wasn't enough, she also sees spirits and this ability/curse makes her a target for ridicule at her new school.
Even thought it's hard to be different, Willow is determined to help the spirits she encounters find peace and move on. When she learns that a local school might be haunted, she and her new friend, Shane, go to investigate. The spirit she meets there needs a lot of help to "cross over", but Willow learns a lot about her gift and her new abilities due to the troubled ghost, Jack.
I enjoyed this book and thought it was well-written and engaging. The characters were well-developed and the story of Jack and his turmoil was very emotional. Even though this is a YA book, I am well beyond that category and still liked it a lot. The narrator did a great job and added a lot to my enjoyment of this audiobook. I was given the chance to listen to this book by the author/narrator/publisher and chose to review it.

"I See Dead People"
Parents: PG-PG13 this is acceptable for middle school on up
Language: PG
Violence: PG - normal to genre, nothing overly graphic
Sexual content: PG - Really very clean so far, new relationship, kissing but nothing to warn of
I was a little hesitant to try this one, ghost stories aren't normally my thing and I really dislike the horror genre. I was however pleasantly surprised by this one. There's a bit of a emotional rollercoaster with the MC loosing her parents and moving from LA to middle of no where Iola Kansas... which funny enough my Dad lived there for a number of years so I actually know where it is. This is a Ghost Whisperer story mixed with a bit of the movie Ghost... really sweet and heartfelt, and I'm looking forward to seeing where the series goes. If it intrigues you then give it a shot, I really don't think you'll be disappointed.
The narrator does a great job, has good differentiations, and a pleasant voice.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

An ordinary girl with an extraordinary gift.
Willow has recently lost her parents to an auto accident that only she survived. And that experience has awakened her ability to see and talk to ghosts. She has discovered that the ghosts that are still earthbound need help to let go. One in particular has a. Very hard time letting go because of his anger at his unfair death as well as his longing for the girl he had been about to run away with and marry.
I found this to be a well written and lovely story.

Ghost Town is not a scary ghost story. It is a very well written book about a girl who can see and talk to ghosts. It is a gift that she has just developed and has decided to use it to help the ghost transition on from here.
This is her story of losing her parents. The embarrassment of getting caught talking to herself (ghosts). Learning how to use her gift to help others.
A very touching listen. Narrated very well. Very enjoyable.

Audiobook: This was my first experience with Krystal Doolittle's work and I enjoyed it. The story featured a girl in high school who can see and talk to ghosts. This ability complicated her life. The story was absorbing and haunting. The characters were unique and unusual. I recommend this story to others who enjoy this genre. Stacy Dugan's narration was good, and her performance enhanced the story's enjoyment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

This was my first Krystal Doolittle's book. This is the first book in the a paranormal YA high school mystery series. I love ghost stories! Willow is a fantastic character, kind, smart, and supportive. The side characters are great. The story is well written, interesting, intriguing, and captivating. Stacy Dugan did an excellent job bringing this story to life. If you like ghost stories, this one is for you. Looking forward to listening to Haunted, the next book in the series.

Good Read
I loved this book. It’s a great read for a teen to read. No violence or sex. Just a story about a young girl who could see ghosts. It reminded me a lil bit of Ghost Whisperer. I think that’s the name of the tv show. Only difference it’s a young girl trying to help ghosts. It touched my heart. I even cried a couple of times. It’s a good read.

I enjoyed this story and the Characters who were in it. It is a Good Ghost Story and the Narrator does a Excellent job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.
Highly recommend this book and this would be a good Story to read to children too.

This book is so good. I dont know what it is about people that can see ghosts, they just seem to be the sort of person l would be drawn towards for friends. This girls story is so interesting, l really enjoyed it. Recommended reading.

This is a well written and developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
