My name is Anthony Moretti and I'm the prince of the Moretti family. Although I'm not active in the crime syndicate that my father, Draco Moretti, began, I'll always be protected by the family and feared by those outside of it. After my father was gunned down in the street, I used my inheritance from him to open my first nightclub. For years, building my empire was my only concern, until fate brought Jacey Wrenn into my life. She had absolutely no idea, but I'd known her before I'd ever met her. She'd haunted my dreams, the beautiful stranger that I longed to find, but hadn't a clue as to where to begin. Sounds like a fairy tale, right? I wish. The woman that I've been obsessed with for years is broken so badly, I'm not sure if I can save her. Hell, how does the son of the devil convince a fallen angel that redemption is possible for people like us?
Anthony is a blessing and a curse, and so yummy while doing it! Elizabeth @ White Hot Reads
After the death of her father at her own hands, Jacey Wrenn can only find solace & a sense of home with one man... Anthony Moretti. Jacey passed out in his arms after killing her father and then she spent weeks in him bed in a state of mental healing.
Anthony and Jacey seem to be enjoying their sexual banter and each other company so many month later. Can they both get past their dangerous backgrounds and lies to find happiness in each other.
I seriously could not put this book down and you will not either. I enjoy all of this authors words and you will too.
Loved the story and every word. Tony and Jacey's story is one of betrayal and love. Eleven months later and Jacey is at Nyx, Tony's nightclub. But she has set up a table and is taking applications from men to provide semen for her to be impregnated with. NO relationship. No intercourse. She just wants a baby. Tony observes a woman with red hair, interviewing men in his club. He sends Jax, to find out what who the woman is. Jax whispers in her ear and she looks up scans the upper level and locks eyes with Tony. He recognizes her "Jacey." The beautiful woman who shot and killed her father then passed out and fell into his arms. She stayed with him until he refused to give her what she asked of him...
There is a mystery to be solved and it will take each and everyone of them to solve it.
Oh My! I absolutely adore Sydney Landon! I also, am loving this series, so much!!! I honestly don't ever want it to end! I do believe this is the best series Sydney Landon has wrote this far. I honestly love everything she writes but there is just something about this series and the people in them. I feel nothing I can say can ever do this review the justice it deserves. Honestly, you will have to read it for yourself, to understand what I'm saying. It's just plain Beautiful. Not only does this book deserve a huge author award but the whole series deserves it. It should get a Golden Globe award for the Best Series written of all time. This deserves all the Stars in this world. I really wish I could give it more than five stars. Sydney Landon you are the best and never disappoint your readers. I can't wait for the next book in this series! I know it is going to be something else.
The web of lies, deceit and betrayal was vast. Boy, was I shocked when the truth was revealed. Having learned more of Jacey's background helped me to turn my feelings around. She suffered and endured so much in the name of love. She definitely deserves happiness. I am eagerly anticipating Marco's story.
Anthony by Sydney Landon Anthony & Jacey DECEPTION + ATTRACTION = HOT STORY 5 Stars
Wow, this story packs quite a punch! I’ve never read anything from Sydney Landon except her Danver’s series… boy was I missing out. It has love, trickery, deception, action, sexy times, and uncertainty.
Anthony is the crown prince of a huge mafia syndicate, but honestly stays far away from it, making his own way in the world. He hot as hell and calls the shots with strength and satisfaction. When a girl from his past, a girl he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about walks into his club one night his restrain snaps.
Jacey is looking for a “baby daddy” and not just any “baby daddy,” she wants Anthony Moretti. Her methods are a little sneaky, but the outcome favorable. She’s dealing with death, murder, sibling issues, and want to be a mother. I’ll tell you this, this girl is one tough cookie!!
The supporting character cast is fairly immense. I haven’t read any other book in this series, but was able to pick up right here in this book and pretty much understand who’s who. I’m curious to find out more about Marco. I think his book will be exceptional!
This tale of lies, love, and murder will keep you guessing and on your toes persistently. I struggled to put it down to get some sleep, but the yawns and dragging ass the next day were well worth it. It’s a great storyline, the characters are influential, and the pacing is flawless.
The book picks up a year after the events from Lee and Jade's (Liza)story. Jacey, Jade's sister is at Anthony's club auditioning men to be her baby daddy. But who she truly wants is Tony but she has to draw him out. After what Jacey had done, Tony took care of her for months until she was finally good to be on her own. I liked Jacey she was a bitch but she had to be this way in order to protect her sister and herself. Her and Tony had a natural chemistry and he was the only person she could be herself around. The events of the last book are directly tied to what's happening in this story and the Moretti family and the webs of lies and deceit that was around them all. Tony respected and loved Jacey even when she pissed him off and understood her like no one else ever has. I absolutely loved Marco Moretti, Tony's cousin he was funny and always had Tony's back. It was awkward every time Jade was with Jacey and to see how much pain she was in. I loved that things got bad, Anthony and Jacey had each other's backs and just loved each other regardless of their flaws and faults. They accepted one another despite their pasts and were happy to usher in their future together as a unit and family.
Anthony & Jacey. This series has moved more into focusing on the story than romance. Jacey is Jade's sister (book 6). She was her father's right hand man and in the previous book she is informed that her father killed her mother. Having been lied to and all of the torture she went through doing her father's bidding, she shoots and kills him. Anthony was there too because Jacey's dad also admitted to murdering his father. He takes care of her for 2 weeks afterwards and then she leaves when he won't agree to be the father to the child she believes will make her happy and feel loved. A year later, she shows up in his club and is having interviews with men to fill the role of baby daddy. He never stopped wanting her but had to let her go and wait for her to come back to him.
Not believing completely that Jacey's dad acted alone in the murder of his father, Anthony starts digging to find the truth. Most of the book is spent trying to piece together who the traitor within the family is. It was determined that it was someone on the inside because Anthony and gang go to murder this POS that severely abused Jacey (she was forced to have sex with men her dad saw as business partners and the last one was violent) but find he was already murdered by someone else before they could do it. Seems someone had a personal issue with our POS because the kill was more like torture before the kill.
More investigating...then we end up with Jacey being taken to the compound to meet with Anthony. She comes in and finds his Uncle Marcel there. Anthony, Lee and Jade also show up. Uncle admits that he was the one that had killed Anthony's father (Marcel's brother) because he had consistently stolen the women Uncle had. Uncle had a 2 year affair with the Js mom but she wouldn't leave her husband for him (didn't want to leave her girls behind). He introduces her to Anthony's dad and she ends up with their dad. She had decided to leave her husband for Anthony's dad (despite leaving her kids behind) and Marcel got pissed and killed his brother.
Marcel was kept on the inside by Anthony's mom Cass (we find out that his dad got her preggo and took him from her to raise himself because she wasn't in a position to do so; she later got hired on to work at the compound as a steward), one of Anthony's men tasked with guarding Jacey (he was easily bought), and Mike (one of the people in Anthony's close inner circle). Marcel had fed Mike some lies but neglected to tell him that Cass' had twins and he was Anthony's twin brother. Mike was sick when born so his father gave him to another family to raise and told Cass he had died.
Marcel was about to start the shooting but Lester (Cass' husband) and Marco show up with automatic weapons and the shooting begins. Anthony's man is shot and killed and Marcel shot and killed Cass. Mike walks back in the room with Marcel. Anthony shoots and kills Marcel as revenge for his father's murder. Trying to figure out what to do with Mike (he was a traitor but also had been lied to and was Anthony's brother), Mike takes it upon himself and commits suicide.
The story was interesting but there were parts that seemed to drag on a little. Not much passion but I still felt the chemistry between Anthony and Jacey. I also knew Mike was involved (looking at the remaining books in the series and not seeing his story) but it was a little bit of a cheat. Good story and enjoyed it.

~ 4 Duchess Lucy Stars ~
I was totally excited to hear the Sydney Landon was adding a new book to the Pierced Series. I have read all these books and have been in love with them all. Although I will say Anthony wasn’t my favorite of the series.
Anthony can be read as a standalone, but I would’t recommend it. I would also recommend reading Lee first and then read Anthony shortly after. I have read Lee but it was awhile ago and I have to admit, I almost wish I would’ve reread Lee before reading this book. I will say I was slightly confused in the first half of the story. There was some filling in of the blanks but not as much as I would’ve liked since I read Lee so long ago.
I also believe that the reason this book wasn’t my favorite was because of Jacey. I really didn’t like her character. Yes she is broken and dealing with all of her past ghosts and haunts, it started to get old and I was hoping to see a softer side of Jacey as the story went on. We really don’t see her softer side much. On the other hand, I LOVED Anthony (Tony) he was swoony even with his background with the mafia. I loved how devoted he was to Jacey. He was determined to make her his. He had the perfect mix of strong hunky Alpha and tender hearted sweet side.
This is a book I can’t really tell you much of the storyline. This is a story that is suspense filled and it needs to unravel itself for each reader. This story will keep you guessing throughout. I did wish things would’ve been revealed a little sooner in the book, but I was truly happy with how it all played out and how the story ended. I will say Sydney put a lot of shockers in this story!!! I will also warn some readers that some of the topics could be difficult to read about. Nothing is overly graphic, but it could still trigger some people.
I thought the flow and pace of this story worked well for Jacey and Tony. They both had some demons to work through and those had to be taken care of first. This story is told in Dual POV.
I loved seeing more of Jade and Lee in this story. It was nice catching up with them!!! I also liked we got to know some of the other guys better. I look forward to Marco’s story next.
I would recommend this book to all the fans of the Pierced Series. This was definitely another great addition!!! If you love a love story between two broken souls who are meant to be together and love some suspense to keep you turning the pages, then you need to read this story!!!
I’ve been a fan of Sydney Landon since the first Lucian & Lara book, now they’re one clicks when I see a new one come out. That being said, I have been waiting for Tony’s story since we got a glimpse of him in Lee’s book, and he definitely wasn’t a letdown. Tony has managed to stay out of his family’s “business “, making his own way while still having his family by his side, especially his band of “brothers “, who by the way are hilarious. In the midst of all the craziness of his life, up pops Jacey, the daughter of the man who killed his father. The feelings they have for each other can’t be denied and trust me their interactions are amazing! Of course in true Sydney Landon fashion there is also more than meets the eye. This book is full of twists and turns and intrigue...it’s just WOW! Absolutely loved this book and highly recommend it. I suggest you go back to the first book though and read them all, you’re going to want to meet these fabulous characters firsthand. Oh and then you’ll be like me, waiting impatiently for Marco’s story...Fall 2018...I’m dying here!
Just the name Moretti sends shivers down my spine...!
If you’ve read all of the books Sydney has written in the Lucian and Lia series, this one will blow your mind and is by far one of my favourites along with Rose and Lee! I loved the connection that Tony and Jacey had from the beginning, but also learning more about the secrets each have and those that they didn’t realise, that would connect for us as a reader later on. Suffice to say I normally give a review detailing what happens in the beginning of a book, but I’m going to give that a miss this time as I feel I would get into spoiler territory and I believe as a reader it should be experienced as it was intended, because it’s amazing!
Can’t wait for Marco’s story next, as just the name Moretti sends shivers down my spine....but in a good way:)
That read was a world win and then sum; I am still reeling!! By far my favourite duo in this series thus far. The fire, the anticipation, the chemistry, and the red hot passion between these two characters, ahhhhh, it had me over here panting like a b*tch in heat; it was so HOT!! Jacey, a.k.a Ms. Understood, a.k.a Saviour, a.k.a Protector, a.k.a. B*tch, was the perfect heroine for our Tony; and without spoiling it any further just know she was 💯 a victim of circumstances. I am so thrilled she triumphed in the end!! As for Tony…I mean, do I even need to continue?? HOT, SEXY, EXCITING, STRONG, ALPHA, and MAFIA royalty!!! I am obsessed!! And damn, I want his baby too!! He really was the perfect match for Jacey.
* Okay, on to the next read, I don’t want this series to end!
I absolutely LOVED this book! Anthony & Jacey’s Story was SO much better than I could’ve possibly imagined. Learning about Jacey’s history and all that she endured at the hands of her sadistic father in order to protect her sister was absolutely heartbreaking! Yet, it explained the cold, heartless Jacey that we knew from Lee & Jade’s story. Overall, the storyline was brilliant and I was literally on the edge of my seat through most of the book! The twists and turns were so unexpected, yet, everything came together so beautifully in the end! Now I can’t wait for Marco’s story!
Intense, involved, hard to put down... no impossible to put down!
Sydney Landon does an excellent job in this 7th installment !! Jacey and Tony are both damaged goods and must find their way to each other. Can they over come the demons of their pasts that they battle ? Can they find their own happily ever after ? Sydney Landon does an excellent job of growing this story and keeping you captivated and unable to put the book down !
It was interesting to read Jacey's book and get her tragic back story after thinking so poorly of her in Jade and Lee's book. I did feel like some of the internal dialogue was a bit repetitive a times - especially in the first 50% of the book and the drama at the end was a little OTT in my opinion. However, it was an enjoyable read and I did like Tony and Jacey as a couple.
When my daughter-in-law told me this was her favorite book from the series, I thought she had lost her mind ( Hello! Lucian!), but after finishing this wild ride I think she might be on to something. The entire book kept me on the edge of my seat, but the ending...NEVER SAW THAT COMING!!!!!
....there's just no stopping Sydney with this series!! I'm loving it 🥰
We meet Jacey in Lee's book and we instantly hate her! Well, we meet the read Jacey in this book and believe me that girl hasn't had it easy!! As for Anthony / Tony, he's smart, he's hot, he's deep and he's dangerous - yum!!
DNF @ chapter 4. A big nope for me. Desperate women who are the aggressor in pursing someone is a huge turn off for me. Especially when they are so desperate for a child and use the whole 'biological clock' excuse. On top of that, trying to get his attention with her bizarre antics was just not something I could get behind and enjoy reading about.
As with the previous six books I really enjoyed reading this book just as much as the others. I highly recommend that you read this one as well. I'm looking forward to reading the next in line and truly expect to enjoy the next one as well as I did the previous.. Looking forward to the next in this series.
What a gut wrenching story. Anthony- Tony and Jasey faced some pretty awful things in their lives deception and unmentionable horrors. The truth will change so many lives. Once again Sydney has written a brilliant book with characters you easily associate with
Tony and Jacey are great! Definitely not a match made in Heaven. But it was their secret dream. Hers of a happy family and white picket fence. His of this beautiful woman who was the other half of his heart.
Their story is no typical love story. She killed her father. He’s a mafia prince. She’s estranged from her sister after a hellish family life and appalling sacrifices. He’s the son of a murdered mafia don, trying to stay free of that life while being deeply mired in it.
There are twists and turns and honestly I didn’t see it coming. Even if you guess, you can guess the depravity of it all.
The last chapter and epilogue were perfect. Absolutely perfect. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I can’t wait for Marco’s story. I’m loving this series.
This book was good but took some time getting into it. It took a while for things to start happening other then the chemistry between Tony and Jacey. I did figure out who I thought was the "bad guy" and I was right but other issues surprised me!
Enjoyed going back to reading this series. Anthony and Jacey finally afterr years of heartache, lies, manipulation and loveless lives find their HEA. Marco is next I can not wait.
Can’t wait for Marco to get here. Loved this book to pierces. All so serious and intriguing at times. The best part was the bubble bath scene, could not stop laughing out load. Great book and love this series... until fall for the next
Another great story that stems from Lucian and Lias world. I was unsure when I first choose to buy it but was not disappointed. If you have loved the Lucian/Lia books, this is a must read. Looking forward to Marco’s book in the fall!
Absolutely love all the Lucian & Lia books and the twists and turns their stories take!!!! Duchess and Tony will not disappoint. Make sure you don’t have anything major to do cause you won’t be able to out this story down!!!
Dang that was crazy. Didn’t expect some of the things but hey I guess you have to do the unexpected to keep us lovely readers reading! Now on to the next book! Amazing Sydney Landon, love your books.
