She has the world at her feet, but that doesn’t mean something isn’t missing in her life.Astrid Adams-Reece was American royalty. The tabloids called her “The Belle of Soho” and splashed her life across their pages for the world to devour. They were especially interested in the famous, rich and powerful men she found herself linked with. She never really cared what the press said about her—taking it all in stride. That was until she met a new man unlike anyone she’d been acquainted with. He was the one man who could be everything she’d never even dreamed of, but now craved having in her life. Why was it so hard to let him go when it was clear he believed he was better off without her? He’s trudging through life with the singular goal of keeping his loved ones’ heads above water.Jase Kincannon’s life hadn’t always been this way. He once led a carefree one until the responsibility of his family’s survival landed squarely on his shoulders. One night a mysterious beauty settled on a stool across the bar he managed and he was charmed. By the time he learned who and what she was, and how she could disrupt his existence and ability to take care of his mother and sister, his life was already turned upside down. Even though he knew the two of them didn’t fit into one anothers’ worlds, why was it so difficult to keep from reaching for the brightness he sensed she could bring into his life?Would pride and insecurities keep them from realizing that their serendipitous meeting was fate bringing together two odd halves that could create a fulfilling life together?
