*WINNER- Sainsbury's Children's Book Awards- Favourite Characters!* Do you love unicorns? So do Peppa Pig and Suzy Sheep! When Suzy comes over to Peppa's to play, they have a lot of fun with Peppa's new toy horse, Horsey Twinkle Toes. But what they really want to play with is a wonderful, magical, colourful UNICORN! Can Daddy Pig make their dreams come true? Peppa's Magical Unicorn is a lovely picture book, that all unicorn fans will adore. And with a very sparkly front cover, it's the perfect gift for every little reader.
Peppa's friend Suzy sheep comes over to Peppa's house to play. Peppa has a horse called Horsey Twinkle Toes but Suzy sheep likes unicorns. Peppa's dad paints the horse to look like a unicorn while Peppa and Suzy sheep sleep. When they find out that the horse has transformed into a magical unicorn, both Peppa and Suzy sheep are ecstatic. It's a cute book with great pictures.
My daughter loves both Unicorns and Peppa Pig so I thought this would be a great one to get from the library. It's a great little story and the book itself is just stunning to look at. The front cover is a beautiful blue and is covered in glitter, the artwork is very good and the story itself is cute and well written. My 3 year old does have a bit of a short attention span when it comes to books which are a bit wordy so I might re-visit this one again when she's a bit older. Highly recommended for children who love Unicorns and Peppa Pig.
When Suzy Sheep comes over to play, her criticism of Peppa’s toy horse makes Peppa wish it were a unicorn.
Daddy Pigg saves the day, but isn’t George going to be upset about what happened to Horsey Twinkle Toes? It was his toy as much as Peppa’s.
Young readers may relate to the experience of having a beloved toy with which they then feel dissatisfied after a friend criticizes it. Unfortunately, the story doesn’t go in the direction of teaching Peppa that it’s okay to like something that another person doesn’t because it takes all kinds. Instead, Daddy Pig modifies the toy, so that it meets with the other person’s approval, thus making both children happy.
I am not a Peppa Pig person, and was never a Peppa Pig kid, but I actually enjoyed this book. It was written well, good for beginning readers who are gaining their confidence. The part in the beginning when Daddy Pig talks to Peppa about her selfish behavior is a lesson that all kids need to learn. As a kid, I played with plenty of people who hogged all the fun. And, of course, I had my fair share of those moments as well. Learning from mistakes like these and becoming better is an important thing to learn. A lot of beginner reader’s stories don’t have much of a lesson to them. I appreciate that this one is different.
Astley Adventure #16 Peppa Pig #16 It's been a while since I ventured in the deep dark world of Peppa Pig, who is according to some pundits a bastion off the left, although this seems to indicate she is banging on about unicorns!
Daddy Pig goes to great lengths to make Peppa's and her friend Suzie's dreams of having a real-live unicorn a reality. What a parent wouldn't do to see their child smile? This was one of the more pleasant Peppa Pig stories I've read, but so far, my son loves them all!
Pruhest Letpåtå bliver udsat for lidt af hvert af både Gurli, Gustav og deres venner, til dels i denne bog, til dels i andre fortællinger. Man får helt ondt af det stakkels kræ.
