I’ve been through a lot with the five men who were never supposed to be mine. Now we’ve uncovered a conspiracy in the witching community even more horrifying than I could have imagined.
I might have sworn an oath to keep my silence, but I’ll find a way around it or my name’s not Rose Hallowell. Too many witches have been hurt for us to just stand by.
It’s time to fight fire with fire. But when I start to draw on the darkness within, it might not be just our enemies who get burned…

3.5 Stars So I didn’t loved this one as much as the last one. It wasn’t all that exciting as they are bound by oath to not speak of anything they learned involved the rogue faction of families and assembly members. So everything they do is in secrecy and without outside help. I was gutted when Gabriel basically threw everything in her face and stomped on her heart. Sure it ended up with him making up the whole thing in a ruse on their enemies but still, he told no one and straight up left them all. Breaking her heart and acting like the consort bonds-essentially wedding vows meant nothing. Not okay. The buildup for the next book seems like it’ll be much more exciting. Through manipulation and circumstance they manage to take down their enemies in this one but somehow the demons are loose and the portal is open. Given that the Assembly now wants her help, I imagine in the end they’ll grant her whatever she asks for even if it’s to have multiple consorts of the unsparked kind. Looking forward to the conclusion and how the hell they’ll tackle the release of demons they themselves just learned about. Side note. I’m still dying a little on the inside over a spell cast on the heroine and her home when just a butt ton of spiders are suddenly everywhere and on everyone. Way to induce shock and paralysis on a reader 😂😂😂 personally I’d take that like an act of war, I’m scarred just reading it.

I just want some jealousy. Just a little bit. It’s just taken away from the series that all the guys are just fine sharing when they are “unsparked”. Plot at least moved forward - I’m determined to see the it through to the end.
Rose has finally brokered a sort of cease fire with the Frankfords and their faction. Her and her guys are trying to find ways around the bond she agreed to and expose the Frankfords for what they've done. While the guys fight pressure from their family and other suspicious circumstances that befall their family, Rose takes in witches seeking shelter.
This book was kind of interesting, mainly I just want to see how the series ends. I liked that the gang was all back at the Hallowell estate and seeing how life would be with them all there together. We see Rose get more in touch with her inner darkness in this book as well. Overall, this was a fine installment, but nothing special.
I started this series quite some time ago already, but for some reason the third book was not really my thing and I didn't know what I was gonna find in the fourth book and if I was gonna like it. However, I have two other Eva Chase series ready to read, but I really wanted to finish this one first, so this morning I decided to just give the book a go and to cross my fingers that this fourth book would be more my thing than the third.
It must have been my lucky day, because in this book we went back to everything I enjoyed so much in the first book of the series. Political games are played, the limits of magic are tested and the bonds between the characters are challenged and strengthened. Especially the political games in this book were amazing! There were clear rules and all characters were trying to find loopholes and ways to break those rules. It was such a joy to read!
Just like I loved seeing Rose stumble, learn and grow in this book. In a way this book really discussed limits and how far you can go to eventually get what you want and save countless of lives. Who could get hurt? What could get hurt? And how can you avoid having to play dirty games, especially when you have the power to play along? It are all questions Rose is struggling with too, especially when her guys start to notice that maybe she goes a few steps too far in her quest.
However, not just Rose is tested in this book. The guys, even though they don't have any magic of their own, are facing their own issues and problems too. We don't spend as much time in their heads as in Rose's, but I love how they are more than just love interests, how they have their own personalities and stories and their own choices to make. Of course, their choices are predictable, but I don't mind at all.
I'm not entirely sure if I'm gonna like the last book in the series after the direction the story took in the very last chapter, but we're gonna wait and see!
This was an absolute rollercoaster of a book. The emotional depth reached in this edition was brilliantly breathtaking! We saw betrayal, illness, attacks, love and healing all jumbled together in this intriguing plot. I feel like we saw more inner character, devotion and faithfulness from Rose's guys. There were heartbreaking moments and tender ones as well. The cliffhanger is superb as we'll all be holding our breaths waiting to see just how Ms. Chase concludes this complicated series.
A lot of this book- is just verbal communication on what are we going to do vibes. There isn’t much magic or interesting things that happen in this book compared to previous ones in this series. The spice is meh, and it was a pretty bland conclusion to the plot set up in previous books. It was a bit of a let down to the previous books in this series. Overall this series wasn’t anything amazing, but this book wasn’t very good.
Well this book didn't seem like it brought too much. It just proves that the fight isn't over and I didn't think it was. It was nice to get more on the boys and their lives away from rose. I felt so sorry for Jin what with all his work being destroyed. the ending picked up a bit and has set great potential for the story in the last book.
I received an advance reader copy from the author.
I know this book released a couple of weeks ago, but better late than never right? So in this fourth installment of the witches consort series we pick up where book three left off, with Rose and her guys knowing some pretty major stuff about the witching community but unable to directly do anything about it. I have to say though, a lot of this book was just filler. There wasn't a lot of action until the last 10% or so of the book, and then a cliffhanger at the end. It wasn't necessarily a struggle for me to read, but I didn't really get as invested as I usually do. Like someone could have died and I would have been like 'oh, okay.'.
I also wasn't really a fan of the characters in this book. I really didn't like Rose or Damon. Rose sort of swung between 'there's nothing I can do I feel so helpless' and 'I want to burn them all let's kill them', which felt really out of character and slightly pathetic. And Damon was encouraging her and hating on the other guys *cough* Gabriel *cough* for being rightly concerned about her, which made him more dickish than normal. Jin, Ky, and Gabriel were okay, but Seth felt kinda irrelevant. He didn't contribute a whole lot in the grand scheme of things, and the one idea he did have was made null and void by the end of the book anyway, so it's kind of like 'what was the point?'.
So yeah this installment wasn't all that great if I'm being honest. I'll still read the last one because Eva Chase is normally a consistent writer and I've enjoyed her other stuff that I've read (plus there's a cliffhanger and I've read this much so I still want to know how it ends), but this time it just fell a little flat for me.
Maybe I'm a cynic but I hate goody two shoes! You do not light someones shed in retaliation who is trying to kill you! You do not forgive someone who is supposed to love and support you after he lies and breaks your heart just because he said sorry! I lost all respect for the heroine!
Note: I was given this book by the author and I voluntary give this review.
I demolished Consort of Fire, I read twenty chapters in one sitting and I know I read ebooks a little quick but still... Eva knows how to write a good reverse harem.
Consort of Fire starts off almost where Consort of Pain left off, Rose and the guys are back home but the threat of Charles Frankford and his cronies still loom. Rose thought that they were relatively safe and is actively working with her consorts to stop Frankford's demonic plot. However all is not well, others have similar situations to Roses's twisted consorting ceremony and are on the run, plus Frankford finds away to get around the oath they gave and things are getting a little dicey. The question soon becomes between Rose and Frankford, who can take the other one down first.
This was a fun quick read with the steamy scenes that I expect but with family drama, magical threats and a darkness that I loved. This series started with an imaginary friend Rose had and is now at the point of Rose going to the dark side. The evolution of the characters and their relationship is pretty fast paced just like the rest of the book. They have all been through so much, with all the danger they are in plus knowing each other as children has let their relationship evolve at a quick but still genuine pace.
I really love Rose and the guys, past revelations revealed and the amazing witching world has kept my interest, I just wish I could have a little bit more of how the witching community worked but other than that I really enjoy the series and Consort of Fire was a perfect addition to the series. Be warned the book left off on a cliffhanger and I am really excited to see how Rose takes on this new threat.
Omg look I like this one I really did a lot of curves and guessing but I hate the way Gabriel handled his paper and I hate that rose just forgave him like he didn't rip her heart out when he left. The other guys didn't like seeing rose act out of character either but they knew she had to do what needed to be done to keep them all safe since Frankfort and all them wasn't following the rules like they was suppose to be doing. They stayed and talked things out with her and help her come up with plans that helped and allowed her not to cross the line but he just left and hurting her in the process and making it so she was less ready to fight so he can play hero all cause he felt he needed to be the one to do the saving and not her..... then ended up being a liability because the bad guys had him to hurt her more to get her to do what they wanted..... whatever I get she luv him and his heart was in the right place but he should have figured out a way to get her to stay true to herself with out making her question herself and the limited things she was a le to do to protect them........

Life is never simple for Rose Hallowell and her 5 consorts - for now she might have hoped to be safe but the oath to keep her silence is not enough to stop her from trying to find ways to get around it so that the witching community can understand the treat to them and find ways to protect themselves too. So they somehow have to find a way to fight fire with fire although who gets burned is unclear.
Wow - so much danger, drama and excitement. It was great to see how Rose and the guys worked together using every means they had to both find ways to get around the oath as well as protect themselves and those they love. There were plenty of surprises and twists/turns as you would assume you knew how it would develop and then another event would happen and it would all change. Through it all Rose tried to keep herself above the tricks that the opposition seemed to be prepared to stoop to. A great read that you will enjoy and want to read what comes next.
I love the actual idea and plot outline- witches & magic exist but normal people have no clue. Only women in the witch bloodlines can make magic. After they’ve found their consort, before a certain age. There’s basically a witch government that watches over the witches. The MC finds proof that at one time, witches had more than one consort (intro to the reverse harem set up in the story).
I think it could’ve been paced a little better. It all felt so rushed, reintroduced to her BFFs from child/teen yrs and now they’re consorted. Make it months vs. days, maybe? And be a little more detailed.
I love the romance/erotic genre...when it has a great storyline. I want to be immersed into the story and find the romance hot. Lately, I’m not finding many authors who can write with that balance.....a book I’d read without the sex scenes, because the story/characters are that compelling. I guess I’ll keep searching.
This was a brilliant book! Such an amazing series that I both do and don't want to end.
While this is a paranormal book, there are so many themes/storylines that are so relatable: - how far would you go to protect/save the ones you love? How far would you go to do the right thing and to see justice prevail? What would you do if someone you love starts becoming someone else?
I loved seeing Rose and the guys work together as a team, trying to find a way around their oath so they can reveal what's really going on in the witching world, and save other witches from having to go through what was in store for Rose.
We get to meet some new people, see more of the boys families, and there were a few twists and turns I wasn't expecting.
I don't want to give spoilers away, but this book was amazing and has set up the next/final book to be epic!
Consort of Fire by Eva Chase is a reverse harem paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Aletha George and Tristan James. This is the fourth book in The Witch's Consorts series.
I am loving the relationship between Rose, Kyler, Seth, Damon, Jin, and Gabriel. They have had so much thrown at them over the course of the series. I liked getting all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.
The book ended on another great cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait to jump into the next book in the series Consort of Light.
Tristan and Aletha did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this series if you're looking for a paranormal romance, fantasy romance, or why choose romance.
And the story picks back up right where it left off. Rose, her men, and the witches that have found sanctuary on her estate have all been through so much. Sadly, it isn't even close to being over. The Frankfords are relentless in causing problems. Will they find a way to shut their enemies down before someone is seriously hurt? This series just continues to overwhelm my emotions and just gets better and better. I can't wait to see what happens next especially with that CLIFFHANGER the Author left us with. I truly enjoy seeing things from their past and I love how they are becoming a true family. Naomi helping them is icing on the cake!
I was gifted an ARC in return of an honest review.
While I enjoy this series, and Eva Chase is an amazing author that captivates you in whatever world she decide to throw at you, I struggled with this episode a little. I liked that Rose had to struggle with the "demon" within, in order to try remain true to who she is and wants to be as a person. The heightened drama and the shock and sorrow of desertion kept me intrigued and glued to discover the outcome. There just seemed to be a lot of waiting around for something to happen or to do something that, to me, dragged the story out/down a little. That being said, I still look forward to the next installment. Over all an entertaining tale.
I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review
Now that Rose knows the reason for the betrayal of her father and the witching community she is sworn to silence while she and her guys try to help those who have been used by the witching community for illegal acts. Together they need to find a way to make the witching community pay for the attacks on their families and try to keep each other safe while fighting a new foe that threatens to destroy them all. This is a great continuation of the Consort series and it gives us a look into the lives of the rest of the witching community and how their actions affected the lives of everyone. Wounds are mended and trust needs to be reestablished not just with the witching community but within the relationships of Rose and her consorts.
Another exciting book in the series as Rose and her consorts struggle to figure out a way around their oath so they can shut down the demon portal. The other side is fighting dirty and when Rose decides to get down in the mud with them, one of her consorts has had enough and leaves her. Brokenhearted, she knows she has figure out a way to solve the problem without losing her own soul. Can she and her remaining guys find a way to keep their loved ones safe while stopping the forced mating?
This one ends with a phone call that leaves us waiting for the next installment with baited breath. I read an advanced copy of this book. My review is voluntary.
The plot continues to thicken as Rose tries to make Hallowell manor safe for herself, her guys and two other witches who felt unsafe with their families. The other side finds ways to try to destroy them despite the oath to do no harm. Rose starts to retaliate and Gabriel walks away. There is a fire that destroys Jin’s studio, paintings and home. The guys’ families are concerned about their boys being involved with Rose. They find a way to confront the evil they know, but worse is coming for book five. Rose’s personality does seem to shift during the book and she has very real anger issues. The problems she is facing are large.
Rose and the Frankford witches have sworn to stay away from each other. But, truthfully, there is always a loophole for the oath they both agreed to, and the Frankford witches will not leave Rose alone to enjoy her life. To win the battle, Rose may have to be ruthless, and her consorts may not feel comfortable with her.
Gabriel's act and the reason behind it didn't surprise me. I saw this coming from miles away 😁. Reaching the end of the story, I'm glad things are finally 'almost' looking good for the team, and I can't wait to read the final challenge and how Rose and her consorts played their part in the last obstacle.
I don’t even know how to describe how amazingly awesome this book was! This book grabbed me from the start and it kept me hooked through the huge cliffhanger at the end. Ms. Chase loves to keep you on the edge of your seat with twists and turns you don’t see coming (i.e. a betrayal by a loved one). Rose learns and performs even more magic, including some magical fights with her enemies. They just won’t leave her and “her boys” alone and they resort to some underhanded tactics to get around their oath. I am already anxiously awaiting the next book.
Rose and her Boys are all set to live their lives in happiness due to their deal from the last book, but of course that does not happen as action, threats, magic and living together comes together to deliver a great story. Full of sexy scenes, funny scenes, and a wild plot I was hooked from the beginning and read it in one sitting to see what trouble Rose would find herself in this time. And if she could save more witches. A great story that kept me glued to the end and wanted the next book in the series. I liked the story and the series just keeps getting better.
Haha, this was another great book in this fantastic series. After taking the deal and making the oath Rose and her consorts are trying to find a way around the binding oath to help those that are effected by what's happening. While doing that Rose's home becomes a safe haven for those magic kind in need of shelter. This group still has a lot on their plate and the the constant scheming and fending off attacks aren't helping the situation! Can't wait for the next book to come out!
To start off I do actually like this series I just had a bug problem with this book. One of her consorts does something and says something’s that hurt Rose greatly he had his reasons but they are the same reasons her would get mad at other consorts for doing things. And then she just forgives him. I’m sorry the stuff he said the decision he made… that’s nothing to just “leave in the past” not acceptable. I’m not saying she should leave him but it not just ok
Gabriel should be kicked to the curve. The MC was handling business trying to protect her people and he wanted her to stop. She wasn’t being nice enough even though her enemies were destroying people. They almost killed her consort’s father, yet she should do take the high rode and wait it out instead of hurting those who try to kill hers. Why? Because she is female and her sensibilities can’t take it. Load of crap. Then she should forgive Gabriel for his betrayal and his lack of faith in her, because he was scared. Ok. Whatever.
Consort of Fire (The Witch’s Consorts Book 4) ~~ Rose comes into her own here. The action is fierce, the enemies more ruthless, and her magic is finally unleashed in ways we’ve been waiting for. The fiery energy of this book isn’t just about battle — it’s about passion, loyalty, and burning away the old to make room for something stronger. The ending had me reeling, with a twist that left me immediately reaching for book five. A blazing installment that proves Rose isn’t just surviving — she’s thriving.
Another fabulous book in the Witch Consort´s series. This book contains a lot of danger, drama and surprises as well. Rose is struggling with not only with the Frankfords and the Assembly, but herself, in order to save her loved ones while trying to remain true as a person. When you start this book you have to keep on reading, until the end. Now I am anxiously waiting for the next book. I received this ARC as a gift and I am voluntarily submitting this review.
