Riley Flynn is the kind of man who rarely gets to write about himself in the third person. He likes long walks on the beach, and falls asleep at night dreaming about the apocalypse - and how he plans to survive. Zombies and EMPs are Riley's kind of thing, but he has a special place in his heart for biowar, and the end of the Internet Age.
What a relief to pick up this book and find myself once again fully engaged in the story and continually eager to find out what happens next! While never a fan of cliffhanger endings, especially after having read more than enough books to know that if an author is truly good at their craft that such gimmicks are completely unnecessary, I still enjoyed this story from beginning to end.
An RF Apolaptical Horror Novel About The End Of The U.S. As We Know It
RF has penned the third novel in the Collapse series where Alex finally learns what everything has been about. The U.S. Government had become the good, the bad and the ugly. They had those that survived the plague to do their bidding until their program backfired. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS
This book was painfully slow. Had I not read the other two books. Not sure, I would have read this. I liked the characters and the eventual plot. Alex, Tim, Joan, Cam and Finn make a great team of survivors, each with their own special set of skills. Getting there was, as I said before very painful. I’ll stick with Riley Flynn to see what else he comes up with.
Everything was shutting down; the Emp attack, the pandemic plague all changed the world. Alex is our hero and he is fully developed. I know him, I like him, and I feel his pain as he tries to adjust to the way the world is now. Riley Flynn has created a wonderful book as the end of the "Storm Front" series. Buy the whole series. Enjoy!!
This book was difficult. I think this would have made a better two book series and less listening to Alex be as the Blue's Brother said "On a mission from God".
I don't like saying anything political in reviews but Alex is a bleeding heart liberal. His beliefs make me want to pull my hair out.
The story has been captivating so far. Not enough to keep my nose buried in it for days, but enough to allow me a nice, leisurely read. I like post -apocalyptic stories about ordinary folks, versus some retired Navy SeAL type. Hoping for more of Alex Early's journey.
I've really enjoyed this series of books. The story is very engaging. A lot of grammatical mistakes, it wasn't edited very well. But I'm interested enough to read around it. Good story!
Storm Front (Collapse Book 3) awesome book. Riley Flynn did an excellent job of carrying his characters over into a third book and not losing the reader. He built up the ending leaving the rearranging more.
