It's one step forward and two steps back when Perla witnesses Jax in a compromising position with another woman, making her more determined than ever to keep her distance from the playboy billionaire who somehow set his unrelenting sights on her. That is until, in a moment of utter panic and desperation, she finds herself taking a little more than comfort in his strong, willing arms.
When a break in her parents' murder case pulls her away, she's determined more than ever to stay away from Jax, chalking their tryst up to a candid mistake, but now that he's had a taste of her, he's more determined than ever to win her back.

I just binged out on Nicole R. Locker’s Dangerous Desire in one sitting. Bottom line here is that this story, available as either a single ebook (Dangerous Desire) or in a three part series format (The Dangerous Desire Series, starting with book 1, Reckless, and then continuing with this book 2, Relentless) was a total blast and well worth getting if you’re all all interested in stories involving sexy as sin playboy billionaires, which happens to be a weakness of mine. This book or series, depending on how you get it, is loads of pure romantic fun. It had just what I wanted, was well written, and had a great plot full of perfectly heated romance. I simply adored its leads, heart-damaged beauty Perla Fae and Jax Maddox, the sexy billionaire (with his own emotional issues), and their wonderful explosively hot chemistry. Their growing bond a pleasure to watch as they developed over the course of the pages. The cast of supporting characters were also simply superb. What more I could one ask for? But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - this book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. Two caveats: (a) this book (series) was formerly the single book "Tragedy and Desire" so don’t buy it if you own that one unless you want a repeat (though there is bonus content that may make it worthwhile anyway), and (b) you need to decide if you want it as either a single book (at just under $5) or in the form of a three part series (total cost just under $6). Pro tip here is to get series book 1 which is free (free always being a good price) and then if you like it (which I frankly am sure you will) buy the full book and save a buck. Just don’t be surprised if the story stops abruptly and unfinished if you buy series form book 1. That’s just the nature of the series form vs full book.
Perla is finally taking back her life. She has gotten Lisette off her back her job is back on track. Jax is determined to have a relationship with Perla but his over the top seduction backfired once Perla told him everything about her life prior to him. So much drama and I can't wait for the next book! I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This book starts right where book 1 left off. It was great entertaining read that left you wanting more. It's well written and you learn more of the characters. I couldn't put it down.
