This is a charming book that covers love in all its forms, from romantic to love to the love you have for your four-legged friend. The author gives you simple detailed instructions on the various spells charms and potions, and she also provides a helpful encyclopaedia of items that are connected to love.

I enjoyed reading this book as it was a break from my traditional reading. If you are interested in the mystical side of life or are merely curious about love, then this book is for you.

Love, love this book. I am not a fan of love spells because too many people think " do a spell and they are mine and we will be happy forever". It's doesn't work like me that and this book is about so much more than romantic love. It covers friends, platonic love and animals. I have a beloved cat that I am hopeful that there's something in the book that may help. I also bought this bought for a friend. I received this book from Net Galley for an honest review and no compensation otherwise.

I received this book unexpectedly in a subscription box. It is not something I ever would have sought out on my own, being both in a long-term, happy marriage and also feeling like love magic too often veers into ethically suspect terrain. This book was more than just love magic though, rather than only thinking in terms of crushes and lovers, it even included things like blessings for a new home and rituals before a marriage, charms to strengthen friendships, spells to smooth tension at parties, etc. It suffers from the same flaw as many compendiums of magical lore in that the contributions are of uneven quality, some inspiring and insightful and others downright bizarre or even ridiculous. And, yes, there were some spells of the ethically suspect variety, though many more were thoughtful and interesting.

This was a very interesting read. I prefer to not cast spells to gain a friend or lover but still I very much enjoyed the book. The book hits on all aspects of gaining love. Whether it be for getting along with your to, having a true friendship, or the love of your life.

I really enjoyed the omen section of the book. Things to look out for is a good thing. Wish there was a Omen list for everything in life.

The book features, spells, charms, and potions to gain love, keep, love, make love better, bring good fortune, and even how to get out of love.

Great book for those interested in magic.

I cannot say that it was particularly interesting, but there were many formulas I didn't think were possible and many of them caught my attention, in addition to adapting to current times. There are some that made me goosebumps, but I assume they're there only for popular knowledge; I don't want to imagine someone doing that kind of work. I think the best section was the last, with different correspondences so that each person's able to make their own formulas.

An amusing little grimoire filled with spells for nearly every type of occasion. I cannot say it is what I hoped it would be, but certainly reminded me that there is an element of love or hate in any relationship: whether it is your friend, your co-workers, yourself, your romantic partners, or the universe.

I like the fact that these spells, recipes, poems, &ct are all from various contributors and you can easily pick and choose which feels right.

This book is really, really, REALLY full of spells and rituals that can be done, so very different then what I originally expected it to be --- I thought this book would probably be another common self-help book on relationships or a book simply about ancient rituals associated with love! But no, it's not a book that tells history, or another common self-help book that's almost everywhere nowadays. Although I don't know if any of the provided spells and rituals work, but they definitely make this book very amusing.
