London is one of my favorite cities. After reading these books, I’ll definitely have a different perspective on the place the next time I visit! While the idea of half-zombies on a Hunger Games-style televised fight might seem outrageous, Kloss does a good job of bringing both verisimilitude and humor into his stories. They work together to use their unique talents to bring down each of the professional killers before they are killed themselves to the entertainment of millions of bloodthirsty viewers.

These books are best read in order, as there are story arcs that cross each one and end up in a satisfying conclusion. There is great world-building in dystopian horror. The exploration of basic humanity and the prurient voyeurism inherent in the entertainment world is one we should start looking at in today’s real world. If you like action, humor, romance, drama, and epic descriptions, these books are a great choice.

We Zombies is the third book in Mark Kloss’ Game Hunter series. The series is set in London following an explosion that released a terrible green gas that turned nearly everyone in the city into a zombie. The story follows a group of young half-zombies who must compete in a televised fight against bloodthirsty zombie hunters in order to secure a better future for themselves and their zombie cousins.

My favourite thing about this series is the setting. There's the familiarity of London with a level of uncanniness and danger. Kloss uses a variety of locations including older buildings like churches and cathedrals, and newer buildings like shops, with plenty set outside. There are also tunnels full of rats. This book opens in an old water plant and the description is so detailed that I was immediately drawn back into the Game Hunter world.

By this stage in the series, the main characters are very familiar and I've grown quite attached to some of them, which makes the peril even more perilous. The characters do feel fleshed out, each with their own mixture of tragic backstory and comic traits. I particularly like Tugs T and Makepiece in this one!

As well as being an action-packed story, this series addresses some important issues. What really stood out to me is how it explores the ways that media representation can skew public opinion. The half-zombies are aware of a change in how they are perceived following the games in the previous book, whilst the TV channel keeps adamantly claiming that they can't control the behaviour of their viewers.

For me, this was a five star book. Definitely worth a read if you enjoy Hunger Games, zombie books or other dystopian fiction. You do get reminders of some of the key stuff from the previous books in the first couple of chapters but it really is a story to be read through from the beginning!

I enjoyed the conclusion to this fun and different series.

I thought they might show more on what happened after the end of the games, but even without that it was a great ending.

Fast-paced, full of action but still full of humour and empathy.

“And finally, we shouted one last cry. “We zombies!”

“Two days had passed since we were able to at least briefly celebrate our victory in the first of three rounds of the Game Hunter show morbidly followed by millions of thrill-seeking TV views on channel 4704. Then, as we were settling down for the night, Red had been suddenly called away on an urgent errand. I had instantly feared the worst.”

“The chemicals released over the City of London two years before had caused everyone who hadn’t instantly turned into your everyday zombie, or, more mysteriously, a half-zombie, to get out of the city in a very panicky rush. Now we zombies shared the streets, stinks, and endless haunted buildings with the mutated poisonous cats and crazy-wild packs o mutant dogs, not to mention the game hunters, those normal determined to kill every last one of us.”

We Zombies is the third and finally book in the Game Hunter series from Mark Kloss. They are NOT standalones so you will want to read Game Hunter, and Showtime first in that order before you begin this book. With that said, I am so sad this series wrapped up with this book. As much as I loved it I would love more from this series. Like all great things though, it too must end somewhere. The series is such a unique twist on the zombie craze we have seen upsweep the world lately. It takes a dystopian future, throws in zombies, and mixes it up with some Hunger Games stuff. It sounds like a lot but really it boils down to the question of humanity and our feelings being all the same regardless of our classification. There is so many twists and turns that you won’t be able to see coming, but will leave you reading well into the night and early morning to find out what is to come. There is not enough great things I can say about this book, so I will leave you with the promise that it will blow you away and you have to read to find out just how much! You won’t be disappointed!! I can’t wait to check out what other novels are available from Mark Kloss!

“We suddenly shouted, with the rage of the defiant, as bullets, hundreds of them, whizzed through the air. They were not from the men who had stood in front of us read to kill for the entertainment of the live audience and the millions watching from the comfort of their homes. The screams of fear, pain and even death, weren’t from us. They were from the men who were about to kill us, and they were from the crowd who a moment before were salivating as they looked forward to the moment when the three of us collapsed onto the ground in agony.”

“Each one of us was stunned. Could this be it? Could the two years of absolute h@ll be coming to an end?”

We Zombies (Game Hunter, # 3) by Mark Kloss was an epic final that had me gripped from start to finish.

I always hate it when a series ends, but at the same time you always want closer for your favourite characters. This book was everything I was hoping it to be, action, drama, bubbling romance, and of course an epic ending that is a little opened ended; because, this is a book about were half zombies and full, are the protagonists. It's one of things where you're happy, but unsure on how happy that ending is. Which is freaking awesome!

I'm not going to spill anything about this epic book, because it is this final, and no one like a spoil sport. I will tell you that you're going to love it. If you are just stumbling up this series now, I suggest you go back and read the other two books, in order experience this story in all it's greatness as well, this story is a continuation series. Each book happens pretty much right after the next, so you will be lost, and miss out on the spectacular build up, to one of the most phenomenal conclusions of the year.

So take my super high recommendation that you need this series in your life. It's more then just different and unique. It's that other side of the story that you don't see. Because with every battle and war, both sides think they're right. It's a matter of what side of it your told about.... makes you think huh?

Happy Reading

We Zombies is the third and final book in the Game Hunter series by Mark Kloss. This series has been an action-packed adventure that is a cross between the Hunger games and Warm Bodies meets the Running Man. We have followed the characters as they have battled through and are now set for a final dangerous showdown. I highly suggest reading the first two books in the series before you start this one- as there is a continuing storyline the you should know the details of, in order to have the best possible reading experience of the book/series.
As we discovered in the first book, Tremayne and Red are teenage half-zombies who have got to survive a television show called Game Hunter- where the are pitted against professional hunters. After the events in the previous two books, the odds seem stacked against them and now the opposition always seems to be on step ahead and know their next move. With danger at an all time high, and their survival at stake- this book is quite an epic conclusion to this engrossing series.
This story is a little darker than its team mates- with death, an uncertain future, danger, betrayal, dramas, and surprising developments keep me adhered to the pages.
So, if like me you need to know how this epic adventure concludes, or if you love well written and action-packed dystopian quests, then this really is the book for you!

Thank you, Mr. Kloss!

We Zombies: A Dystopian Action Adventure (Game Hunter Book 3)
By: Mark Kloss
5 out of 5 stars

The story We Zombies: A Dystopian Action Adventure (Game Hunter Book 3) by Mark Kloss is the final book in a series that I have loved reading. It continues the story of Tremayne, Red, and those who make up their team on the live show Game Hunter. The book has action and danger as our heroes face situations that have their skills tested like never before. It is a story that always had me on the edge of my seat. It is fast paced and had me quickly turning pages to find out what happens next. As the characters navigate their way through the city of London they come upon many traps and situations that have them wondering just who to trust. Questions of loyalty and betrayals are ever present. All through this series, both Tremayne and Red’s relationship has grown closer. They have been together constantly and work well as a team. Tremayne has grown to have feelings for her. Does Red feel the same about Tremayne? Will he finally tell her of his feelings? There are both times of fear and times of sadness. One thing that is constant is the friendship and bond that Tremayne, Red and the other players have. It is deep and strong. How will these games end and who will be left standing? This book has a unique take on the zombie genre that I enjoyed reading. It has both a storyline and characters that you will not soon forget. This is a book and series that I highly recommend putting at the top of your TBR list.

a great read about fighting. Tremayne and his half zombie friends continue the fight of their life in the game broadcast to the nation. but they will not go down without fighting. with desperate odds and an ever changing situation, they face danger and death with new friends and enemies alike. will they be able to win the game and earn their freedom before it is too late?
a great read. well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn't put down. the combination of quick action and higher stakes with emotive moments and humour creates a captivating read. the sense of hope and the future even in dark times was perfectly written and emotive and kept you reading to find out what happens.
well developed characters like Tremayne standing up for hismelf while struggling with his feelings or Red trying to be brave despite struggling with dark times or Tugs T just trying to get back to his family.
I loved the visual detail throughout like with the moon and also the flares at the cathedral which were beautifully written in vivid colour against a dark world. overall , a brillaint read and I would give it five stars.

We Zombies (Game Hunter 3)
by Mark Kloss
Rated 5 stars

Things have changed in the world where Tremayne lives. Once he was just a normal half zombie trying to get by day to day. Now he is a hero with fans. Thanks to the show Gamehunter and the cctvs following him around. He went from being alone to having friends and being a part of a group of misfits. We have seen Tremayne do some amazing things with his gift. He has used it to help save lives as well as end those suffering. Once these games start everything could be changed forever.

If only Tremayne could figure out a way to get Red to “like “ him. He has secret feelings that he is afraid to show her. He downs think she will return them but stomp on his poor heart. Tremayne's thoughts on Red...she was suddenly close enough to touch...but to me she was still as far as the stars. Poor Tremayne! Will he ever be able to tell Red his true feelings?

I love that the group keeps their spirits up no matter what has happened. It’s amazing that they can find humor even though there is death and destruction all around. There are a lot of changes during this book. Some are surprising others are sad and a bit shocking. I have enjoyed this wild ride with Tremayne and Red.

I give We Zombies (Game Hunter Book 3) by Mark Kloss, 4 stars.
*This review contains spoilers from previous books.*

They made it out of game one. But not without some great losses and betrayals. Now they have to regroup and get ready for game two. But they are surprised again when it starts way sooner than it was supposed to. They know it will be even harder than the first one -- and they barely survived that one. Can they do the impossible? What will they have to risk?

Red and Tremayne are back. But now they have lost people. They gain more too, but this all takes a toll on them. There are, yet again, some great new characters we meet along the way. But there are also those who would do anything to win, even deceit. This is the end of this trilogy, and I think it was done well. Besides the difficult tasks of killing and just surviving, they also have to deal with loss, love, and forging new friendships. Is there such a thing as a happy ending for a half zombie?

You really should read the first two books in the series to understand more about this book, but if you are a fan of dystopian zombie books with a twist, this book and series is meant for you.

We Zombies by Mark Kloss is the third book in the Game Hunter series. You will definitely want to make sure you add this book to your TBR pile!
Everything is at stake in the final book. The Game Hunters aren’t happy about losing round one. As a result things get even more dangerous for Red and Tremayne. They have to keep all their wits about them if they are to win the fight for their lives. And with their growing attraction only getting stronger things start to get more complicated.
Unexpected help sees them win a chance. However that chance also leads to a showstopper no one saw coming.

This book was a great conclusion to the series. I’ve enjoyed it from start to finish and was really looking forward to book 3. The characters have remained interesting throughout and the story carried well over the three books. This authors writing knows how to compel you to read more and keep you interested. A great book and a very good series.

We Zombies is the third book in the Game Hunter series by Mark Kloss. Set in a world where zombies and half zombies are hunted for a TV show, it gives us a unique perspective on the zombie genre. The zombies appear to be the good guys. Hunted by "normals" for their own gain.
I really enjoyed this trilogy. It was full of fun and action. Despite the main characters being half zombies, they were still relatable. Tremayne and Red were strong lead characters and the minor ones who appear like stuttering Bob were great too.
“We zombies” was an action packed end to the series and I really enjoyed it. I don’t think it could be read as a standalone, you need to read the series to really invest in the characters. I do think it would make a really good TV series, though. Consistently good storytelling and a merge of old and new worlds make this a 4/5 for me.

We Zombies by Mark Kloss
Four Stars

We Zombies is the third book in the Game Hunter Series by Mark Kloss. This series should be read in order, so you can better follow the plot line. This dystopian story had me laughing and crying and rooting for Zombies. This series takes place in London after a mysterious green smoke was released which turned most of the people in the city into zombies or half zombies. As a group of half zombies are forced to fight a bunch of zombie hunters for a televised game in order to survive and help their cousins the emotions get intense. This is the third and final book in the series and the answers are revealed. I enjoyed the entire serie and look forward to seeing what this author will come up with next. I highly recommend this book, series and author.

We Zombies: A Dystopian Action Adventure, Book 3 in the Game Hunter Series
By Mark Kloss
4 out of 5 stars

This final book in the series does this whole series justice. First, do yourself a massive favor and
read books 1 and 2. While you can read this book at the start, it will not make sense nor will you get the full experience of what the characters have gone through up to this point. Those who are a fan of the Hunger Games the walking dead and such like that are going to be fans of this book series. This book picks up right where book 2 left off with Tremayne and his rowdy group of teammates who have been with him on the live Game Hunter show. The action in this book, as well as the series as a whole is very well thought out and jumps right off the page. The scenes are full and vibrant and are told with both external and internal dialogue. Throughout the series, the main
characters have grown both physically and emotionally. Tremeyne and Red have grown very close and sparks fly on more than one occasion for this unique pair. This book is a must read and this series is fantastic. This author did an amazing job and will be on my watch list!

We Zombies: A Dystopian Action Adventure (Game Hunter Book 3) By Mark Kloss is the final book in a series that took me by complete surprise. I highly recommend reading this series in order or you will feel lost a bit. This book was by far my favorite of them all as the author truly tied everything together. Tremayne and Red are back and as with the other books they are leaving their mark on my memory. In this incredible book I've laughed, teared up and wanted to throw my kindle but most of all I've been on the edge of my seat waiting for the next twist or turn I didn't see coming. Through the entire series we've seen each character grow and they are so well written you forget your reading and not living the story. The action is so well described that you see it actively playing out in your mind. This series has a little bit of everything for a reader. This was an incredible end to an amazing series. I'm giving this book a five star review and highly recommend it to everyone who's looking for something different and new to read.

I haven't felt this way about an ending since reading Charlene Harris' Sookie Stackhouse series and before that Stephanie Meyer's Twilight Series. I couldn't wait to read it yet, I wasn't ready for the end. It was very bittersweet. I thourghly enjoyed this series and as much as I wanted to see how it all played out and ended, I didn't want it to end. Kloss out does books one and two with this one. Usually the last book (in my opinion) in a trilogy is either Epic or an Epic Fail and this was beyond epic (whatever that may be).

I give We zombies by Mark Kloss 5 out of 5 stars!

We Zombies: A Dystopian Action Adventure by Mark Kloss is the third and final installment in the Game Hunter series. I really enjoyed this series! They are not standalone books, so reading them in order is very helpful for understanding what is going on in the Dystopian world. I really love this 1/2 zombie thing that the author uses in his story. I was sad to know this is the last book in the series. This series ended on a well written book full of adventure!

We Zombie is the last book in the Game Hunter Series. Mark Kloss does not disappoint with this installment. He keeps you going to see what is going to happen next. All the characters keep growing with each book and Tremeyne and Red are no different. I found myself yelling at the book because I felt like I was in the story with them. There were some twists and turns that I did not see coming and that is one of the main reasons why I like Mark Kloss. He can keep my attention on one thing while sneaking up with a turn that I did not see. So keep reading to see what happens to all your favorite characters.

We Zombies is the third and final book in the Game Hunter series by Mark Kloss is a  dystopian fantasy story. Marks take on Zombies is unique and the plot is interesting  and different like the Hunger Games meets Zombies. The characters are well written  and interesting. I enjoyed the humour Mark has installed to break up the seriousness of  the story. The action, the betrayals and the twists along with the romance will keep you  entertained.

This book concludes this fantastical adventure of zombies vs hunters! I highly recommend reading the entire series in order to get the full backstory. What a great ending to such a fun suspenseful adventure! This series found a way to humanize zombies, and I found myself rooting for them the whole way! Loved how it mixed comedy with this heavy theme.

This series has continued to surprise me with every page. Zombie apocalypse meets Hunger Games - a dystopian adventure that will leave you breathless until conclusion. The characters continue to be solidly written and relatable. The plot is steady and rich. The pace is solid. Just a really well written fantasy that I would definitely recommend to others.

This is the third and final book in this series. This is my favorite of all three. I enjoy how this author has brought this game to life. I also enjoyed the characters as they were connectable and interesting. I enjoyed how both of the main characters, Tremayne and Red had this relationship that grew strong in each book. They along with the other characters bring twists and turns that left me laughing in parts and sitting on the edge of my seat in other. I highly recommend this book.

I received an arc copy of this, hence the quick review. I really enjoyed this book, as with the ones before it, it is quick paced and filled with action. It was a bit darker with more death, but the humour and light-heartedness continued.

I found there was more character development in this book which I liked, and at first I was scepticial if the author could wrap up so many open threads in just this one book but he managed well and didn't do it a disservice.

A great way to end the trilogy! Though I will miss Red and Tremayne a little.

We Zombies is the last installment in the Game Hunter series. Like the previous books, the action was very good and I was invested in the characters, including the new introductions (especially the cat). I was pleased to find Kloss treating the issue of zombies with the same care and thoughtfulness as he did in his previous installments, making clear that they are first and foremost, human. Given that this thread runs throughout the series, I was hoping for a little more exploration of zombie-rights throughout and towards the end of We Zombies, and would have liked the various plot threads to come to a more solid conclusion. Some finer plot twists were quite far-fetched, but entertaining to say the least.

A few gender clichés got under my skin, such as the women taking ages to pick out clothes in a department store before an upcoming fight to the death because ‘they seemed to have more pride in how they looked’. Tremayne’s throwaway comments to Red made him less sympathetic, and his continual assertions that he hasn’t ‘a clue how girls, women, even the female race in general, think and feel’ grated, particularly as he can literally experience what other people think and feel. Completely confused by the ‘other species’ that is the female sex, in the end Tremayne asks another woman to do the hard thinking for him, and tell him how he should win over Red.

Overall, We Zombies is a gung-ho, entertaining read that is part of a wider series that brings something new to the zombie genre, even making it interesting to people like me, who wouldn’t usually read a book about zombies. This was an action-packed end to a quirky series that is worth picking up.

I received a free copy of this book and am reviewing it voluntarily. I thank the author for sharing a copy with me.

A very entertaining series with, We Zombies, as the latest addition. Who would have guessed that readers would feel so bad for the poor, misunderstood Zombie? Well, I guarantee you that you will cheer the Zombies on to victory while chastising the humans for their bullying ways. Two thumbs up to the author, Mark Kloss.

A brilliant conclusion to the story with the opportunity to have short stories or even a sequel if the author wanted to do it. Being careful not to spoil it, I'm personally satisfied with the way things turned out, even if it wasn't what I expected when I started reading the series!
