The Fishing Lesson was my first book by Sherri Schoenborn Murray but I can assure you it will not be my last. I plan to read all of her other books very soon. Her book was like taking a walk with an old friend. Her characters are warm and loving. They are the type of people one would imagine a small town to have. I would love to find Fossil and move there now. Her depiction of small town America is spot on.

Natalie is a big city girl. She ends up lost during a camping and fishing expedition with her boyfriend. Cody is the small town guy who is most women's dream. He is not just good looking on the outside but his inside is even better. When these two meet, embers ignite. However, the boyfriend issue is a problem. See how fishing brings these two toward their futures. I received an advanced copy from the author. A positive review was not required. The opinions stated are strictly my own.

When Natalie sets out to get to the launch point she followed the directions that her careless boyfriend gave her she ends up lost. When Cody gets a knock on his door he never expected what God really had in store for him that day. Can Cody help get Natalie where she needs to be and keep his heart in tacked?

I have never read anything by this author so I didn't really know what to expect. I have to say this book was the perfect sweet love story. It doesn't need a hero or necessarily has one it just worked. I loved how it was a short read but perfect the author seemed to just have fun and when you are reading it you have fun. This book is set in a small town in Oregon and Natalie seems to come alive while there its almost while she was on this camping trip for work she was finding out who she was. This is a good clean read and I would say suitable for all ages. So fun you won't regret grabbing it.

More than a Fishing Lesson… Cody, a fishing guide, feels blessed when Natalie arrives at his cabin for directions. Natalie's boyfriend, who is also her boss, has her driving his truck and trailer on a fishing weekend. Natalie is already unhappy with her boyfriend when he gave her hurried incomplete directions. While waiting for her boyfriend, Natalie ends up spending a wonderful few hours with Cody in the small town of Fossil. Both Cody and Natalie are sweet characters. I love this book and feel blessed to read it. This is a sweet Christian romance. I highly recommend this book and this author.

I struggled with the story because I did not care for the emotional affair. Despite her painting the boyfriend in a bad light, she was still very much with the guy. I don't think it was ok to just fawn over a new guy when she was still with someone, even if she wasn't happy. I think the problem is that she started off too negative. It would have been better if he was already her ex. I like the your in that the cover has with the story. Everything happens quickly.

Despite that, I would read more by the author, for sure. Just not any stories with emotional cheating.

I loved this book. I wanted to scream at Brandon, what a clod. I had to laugh at Natalie and all her attempts to do what needed to be done. What an endearing young woman. Well written and engaging from the beginning. Super love story by an excellent author. Highly recommend. I received an advance reader copy from the author. Opinions are my own.

A wonderful Christian romance that was a thoroughly entertaining book that I very much enjoyed reading. If I see Sherri Schoenborn Murray’s name on the book I’m guaranteed a good read, this one was so good that when my wife walked in on me listening to it on my Kindle we finished the book together. A light hearted fish tale.

What happens when you leave your future in God's hands? You lose your way for one thing but you find the new route is even better, especially when it involves a catfish or two! Enjoy a good clean romance.

Fun

A young woman goes on a business camping trip with her boyfriend-boss. A real eye opener for her where he's concerned.
While there, she gets lost and ends up at the door of a stranger.
Good book!

Great story

This book is fun, entertaining & covers a fishing lesson. (I failed mine.)
It includes plenty of humor, a bit about the John day river & small towns.

Lost and Found

This short book tells the story of Natalie's experience in Fossil, Oregon. Getting lost and meeting Cody was all in God's plan.
