Most think that newest VC Warrior, Ronan McDonald, is just a laid back cowboy. What they don’t see is the inner turmoil that only his small ranch and horses can tame. At least that was the way it had been until a witch with a beauty none could deny walked into his life.

Running has been Kira Grail’s life for as long as she can remember. It isn’t until she meets a VC Warrior that she realizes she is growing weary, but the forces chasing her will never bend.

Ronan doesn’t believe in witches or curses. What he does believe is that only he can keep Kira safe. Together they fight to bring the once powerful warlock, Orjyll, to his knees releasing the women of the Dragonfly Coven. During their perilous journey Kira vows to keep her distance, but the vampire cowboy has other plans.

I liked the MCs. Ronan is pretty awesome as the quiet cowboy vampire. Kira is a lot less 'pointy' than she was in the last book.
But I still found it uninspiring for the second half of the book.
I got tired of the whole bogeyman Orjyll thing. It was just too OTT and Orjyll just didn't seem the brightest bulb on the planet to be such a supervillain.
then the ending... sheesh...

One star changed to two because I really did like Ronan's style.

Love my alpha vampire men. Love this series. Unfortunately, I couldn’t connect with these two MCs. The storyline didn’t grip me like it usually does. Their chemistry was luke warm at best. Well, better luck next time. My loyalty is still with my hot as fu*#k vamps. Keep rocking it Mrs. G😍.

Oh so good!

Are you looking for magic, vampires, action, a curse, AND romance all in one book? Then look no further because you've found it with this addition to the Protectors Series! The casts all present as they prepare for a magical showdown/revenge fest on the evil saggy-bottomed warlock bent on killing Kira, Mira, and Drew. Buckle your belts, cuz you are in for a helluva ride!

Ronan is a protective one, “you picked the right man for the job,” Ronan vowed, his hands clenching into fists at the thought of anyone hurting her. “Nothing or no one will hurt Kira.” Ronan doesn't like others touching his woman, "Ronan knocked Sid’s hand away. “That could have been said without touching.” I liked this book, I loved Ronan.

Ronan

I think Ronan is my favorite warrior. Him and Keira and good together. He did have his alpha moment but learned from his mistake. There's a big fight coming with a traitor and Orjell and they will need to be ready.
And Steve on the horse is too funny.

I received this book from the author f ran honest review.

Those tall, dark, handsome, and quiet ones are the ones you gotta look out for. If Jared doesn’t fix his shit I might have to leave him for Mr. Cowboy!! (Yes, it is that serious between Mr. Kincaid and myself!!)

Ronan has been a bit of a mystery man since he strolled into the series. He is loyal and dependable for sure, but we just didn’t get a lot on him. When we see him stumbling over one of THE Grail Withes in Steve’s book, I knew he was going to be a good read.

Ronan is fascinated with the witch who has captured his heart. He knows JACK about witches and their way but he knows he needs Kira forever. He will do all he can to protect her even if she doesn’t need it…magic can only be fought with magic and his warrior brute force isn’t what will save them from the Saggy Ass, Grail hating warlock. Can I say Ronan made me swoon at the scene in the barn with Kira……yeah he has some old school moves and that is ok with this girl *Gives Jared the side eye for being an jackass*.

Kira has run her entire life. She has done the best she could for Mira and now Drew but is feeling something in the pit of her stomach for Ronan. She knows staying will only lead to heart break for them both with the curse still alive and kicking. She decides, after watching her sister’s happiness with Steve, to give in this ONE TIME and hope for a good outcome.

This book has lot happening. We meet a couple new vampire/witch hunters who might be joining the group of Warriors!! We also see Jared still being an asshat. We learn something AMAZING from Tessa but my favorite part of this book is the #GIRLPOWER we get. Jill, Tessa and Katarina are done being the “little ladies who will sit at home while their men are fighting the war.” Nope these ladies take it to the next level! I can’t wait for what happens in the next book with this story line and what will happen with Saggy Ass since the witches and warriors are working together side by side.

Great story but needs better editing

I enjoyed the story and had been looking forward to Ronan and Kira’s book. Unfortunately while the story gets a five star rating, the large number of grammatical errors kept throwing me out of the book.

Another Gripping Addition To This Addictive Paranormal Romance Series
You can read my full review on my WordPress blog, Flora's Musings...

So, what did I like about it?
I am already a huge fan of Teresa Gabelman’s writing style; I find her books easy to read, her plots are gripping, the pace is fast but never feels rushed and I’m further drawn into the world with strong main characters and a fantastic array of supporting cast (both human and supernatural) that are totally believable and leave me addicted, desperate for more! Ronan was worth waiting for.

This whole story gripped me and kept me turning the pages. The romance/relationship aspect between Kira and Ronan started in the previous book and I thought the sexual anticipation built at a nice pace within these pages. I must be honest and confess that when we met Kira Grail in Invisible Warrior I didn't really like her; I thought she was very abrasive. Now I realise the weight on her shoulders moulded her into the woman she is. I admire her gumption, she always puts herself in the line of fire rather than endanger others and although she may not have combat skills it doesn't mean she doesn't know how to fight! Kira has turned into another first class female lead to join the ranks with the other amazing women in this series.

And while we are talking about the other characters in this book, what would we do without Steve; he continues to be the comic relief and he had me laughing my arse off numerous times throughout this book. My favourite VC Warrior, Jill, stole quite a few scenes and is still as fabulous as ever! In fact, I loved the way that a lot of the other couples relationships developed in this book, seasoned VC warriors having to come to terms that their alpha behaviour needs to change as their mates train to be warriors themselves - Go Women Warriors! - and I enjoyed meeting two new VC Warriors too because that means we’ve got at least two more books to look forward to.
I loved that this story kept me guessing; there are some new story-lines, revelations about some ongoing mysteries and there are a few shocking twists within this book that I didn’t see coming – I was overjoyed at being taken by surprise!

I love the VC Warriors, they all hold a special place in my heart but I was convinced that their usual kickass battle strategy was going to fail miserably reading this book. I had my fingers crossed, hoping that Ms Gabelman didn't kill any of them off to prove a point; the paranormal world that she has created for them is changing and growing, expanding to include more supernatural beings such as the witches and warlocks that we have recently encountered. Where magic is involved the Warriors have to evolve and change their tactics to succeed and I am looking forward to reading how the series evolves along with our swoon-worthy vampire Warriors.

I loved that this book had me shedding tears, got my blood boiling with anger and frustration but also had me laughing my socks off, sent tingles of titillation to all the right spots *blush* and warmed my old romantic heart.

So, ummm, was there anything I disliked about it?
I loved this book as you can tell by the 5stars.

I will just also say that The Protectors series has some long running story arcs - Crimson Rush (the illegal trade in vampire blood), human trafficking and prejudices against the “man-made” vampire half-breeds – to name but a few. I will confirm that some mysteries/threats are concluded within these pages, while others are left to continue but there is no life-or-death cliffhanger ending. Woohoo!! (You know how I hate those!) Ms Gabelman does attempt to weave basic details into her books so that new readers are not completely lost, however, I don’t think that you will get as much enjoyment from Ronan without having read the previous books in the series first; I feel that you’d miss an awful lot jumping straight in.

So, basically what I’m saying is...
I really loved this book; I couldn't put it down! It's got everything that I look for in a 5star story; action, romance, an exciting story-line, humour (like most Brits, I really love good banter) and well written, erotic sex scenes.

Due to the graphic violence and sexual content, I'd recommend this book to adults who are not offended by content of this nature who are fans of relationship/romance tales running alongside gritty story-lines with masses of passion.

Ain't nothing like a tall handsome cowboy to get your panties melting.

Ronan sweet Ronan.. that man is a weapon all by himself. Sweet baby Jesus lord have mercy on my soul I want to find myself a horse riding whip wealding cowboy to hold my ass down.

I can't even with this story though. Teresa does it every damn time. Not only does she give us a solid storyline with dynamic characters. She brings us all the feels!.

Keira and Ronan's story was not smooth sailing by any standards. Keira carried the burden of her name since she was a little girl protecting her sister as best she could but loosing herself in the process. Trust was not an easy thing for her and it took time to breakdown those barriers. She was full of fire! Willing to do anything to protect hers. Resilient, loyal, witty and loving she really stood strong in her character and carried herself well. Ronan is the definition of alpha gentleman. He oozes power but holds himself back. He's confident in his place in the world and the people close to him. Dominant yet sweet, protective but understanding. He had the perfect balance and while at time made his mistakes.. he didn't shy away from taking ownership of that. They definitely balanced eachother out in the best ways. The chemistry was palpable and the connection instantaneous. I believed in them and their growing love and I rooted for their happy the whole damn way.

Phew it's a fucking journey of crazy I tell you. Nothing would surprise me with this author but she still gets me every time!. Sneaky surprises, slowly unraveling secrets... new, old, good and bad faces. A storyline that is as crazy as it is brilliant. Humour that has me crying in fits of laughter with a god damn stitch to match. Seriously I love this crazy big dysfunctional family and all of their hilarious totally outrageous shenanigans. It has a little of everything. The storyline is perfection seamlessly blending in where the previous one finished. The characters, the emotion... everything is spot on. I can't gush enough. I live for this series and count the months for the next because it's one of my favourites. Once again Teresa does not disappoint and I cannot wait to see where she goes with the next one!.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
I think I may have just put another warrior at the top of my list next to Jax and Blaze. Really I’m a southern girl so when I hear cowboy hat, boots and horses well let’s just say I have been waiting for Ronan. Plus I am a sucker for the quite mysterious guys.
Ronan is protective, patient and loyal. You see this in him throughout this book when he deals with the warriors, the trainees, his horses but mostly with Mira. I have to say what Ronan does for Steve and Mira is a testament to his big heart. Ronan realizes Kira is his mate and he is determined to keep her safe no matter what. Can Ronan tame her need to run and keep everyone out of harms way? Kira is not one to sit around she is use to running and not getting anyone involved. Especially now that she knows what powers she holds.
I enjoyed getting to know Ronan and Kira more. I also enjoyed seeing everyone else also. Well I could have done without Jared’s pouting. Let me tell you that was a whole new side to him and it did not look good on him. Steve well he is Steve and to see him with Mira was absolutely heartwarming. Let me tell you the warrior’s women are amazing they are strong and not ones to sit on the sidelines. Man did they really jump into things in this book. The twist ugh I never saw that coming and I so wanted to hurt someone and you will know exactly who when you read it. With the twist it brings in some new players and I cannot wait to see what is going to happen next.
A few of my favorites:
“What are you grinning at?”
“Just wondering when I’m going to see a girl fight.” Steve’s grin grew. “Do you guys use magic or just throw down.”

“I think I’m going to have to see a doctor.” Steve’s voice was high pitched, making all the men laugh harder.
“Slade!”
Every one glanced toward Slade, who shook his head with a big grin. “The day I have to look at your nuts is the day I rip up my doctor’s degree. Ice that shit, and that’s all I have to say.”

Good- read on KU

This book was a good addition to the series. It felt like it wasn't about the couple as much as a lot of books are. Just like with Steve and Mira, the couple didn't have much alone time but did probably have half again as much as Steve and Mira. I loved Ronan's ranch and what he does with it.

Ronan is definitely one of my favorite warriors. He is calm and reserved. He doesn't often go off half cocked. He does a little when being protective of Kira. He is downright sexy with his proficient use of his whip. We saw that in the previous book.

We pick it a new female character in this book, who I really liked. Can't wait to get her story but I think it is book 14.

This is a spoiler for book 11 and contains information that can be found in the blurbs for the rest of the books in the series, which I have not read yet. We found out in the last book Orjyll has been the bad guy behind indirectly behind most of what the warriors have been fighting from book 1. He's the one that created the Crimson Rush problem to keep the warriors busy and distracted. I am disappointed by reading the future blurbs that it appears the warriors will be fighting this guy for the rest of the series that is published to date. (10/2/21) Even after 2 books, I'm ready to be done with that story line and move to something else. If bringing him down is what it will take to end the series, then I'm ready for the series to be over. Maybe it is complete since she has another vampire series?

This book continued to have the same grammatical issues as previous ones. Nothing too serious but definitely enough to make her books less professional. It's the type of thing that makes it clear this is a self published author, or at least not published by a more respectable house, and not an author backed by a professional publisher.

I will continue reading her books. I do wish she would spice them up some, though. This book had three steamy scenes but none were great. Two were almost fade to black.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book.

You know the saying “Save a horse, ride a cowboy”? Well, if that cowboy happens to be a VC Warrior that’s even better and with Ronan that’s who you get, a vampire warrior cowboy!!!
Mira we met in Steve’s book, Invisible Warrior, she’s Kira’s sister. To recap they’ve been running all their lives from the evil Orjyll. He wants the Dragonfly coven dead so that his powers can return.
Mira is scrappy, she fights the pull she feels for Ronan, but come on we know in the end no one can fight love for long. She also learns that she is more powerful than she ever knew.
We also get to see Ronan on his home turf, his ranch riding a horse!!! Can you say yummy!!!! Lol!!!
While the group is on the look out for Oyjyll, the mates are training to become warriors too and boy is there drama with that and our boy Jared.
That Teresa gives us Mira and Ronan’s story along with what is going on with the other Warrior’s is why she’s one of the best. Yes, her readers want new stories, however we also want to know what is going on with some of our beloved characters, it’s the best of both worlds.

Cowboy Charm and Gripping Action – Be Still My Beating Heart!

I’m a huge fan of this series and own Ronan on Kindle as well as on audio. Teresa Gabelman’s writing style really pulls me in. She draws me into her paranormal world with strong protagonists, antagonists, and a fantastic array of supporting characters (both human and supernatural). All of her characters are totally believable and leave me addicted, desperate for more! I like how Teresa paces her plots and how the mysteries and threats come to light. But I especially love how Teresa balances tension with humour. The banter is fantastic.

Jeffrey Kafer’s performance is once again outstanding: he IS the voice of the VC Warriors.
Jeff’s performance embodies the strength, power and “alpha-ness” of the male characters. I could feel the emotions reverberating through my ears and body. Jeff doesn’t dramatically change his voice for each character (male or female). However, I was never confused about who was speaking during the conversations. Jeff created just the right amount of drawl for Ronan, Oh, how I tingled every time he said “darlin’“.

O. M. G.!!!!!!!

Another bullseye for Teresa Gabelman!!! I loved Ronan and Kira SO MUCH!!!!! I LOVE EVERYTHING THIS AUTHOR WRITES!!!! This series is definitely in my top 3 series of all time. She writes her characters so REAL, that even though they are vampires (fictional creatures?), you feel like you know them and love them. And I love how every book seems like a family reunion, because the same people from book 1- 12 are incorporated into the storyline. Like, I'd forgotten that Katrina could control all animals!! And how cool is it that Tessa got Adam's power of reading minds? This is an AMAZING addition to this wonderful series. It's a must read. But personally, I would do myself a favor and start at the beginning with Damon. Everything will make more sense if you know the backgrounds of all the Warriors. It can be read as a standalone, you'll love it, but you'll love it more I think, if you read them all!!!!!! Please Teresa, don't make us wait too long for Bonnie's story!!!!

Saddle-up!

I’ve been a VC Warrior fan since “Damon” was first released. Twelve Warriors later and I still find myself enamored with, and cheering for, each Warrior and mate as they find each other and fight off the bad guys (usually together). I love how the plots segue smoothly to the next; no reason at all to get bored. Blood-borne drugs, evil vendettas, mad scientists, ghosts and dead-people getting chatty and/ or taking control. We’ve been introduced to shape-shifters, werewolves and “powers” beyond ken. And now, we enter the world of magic and all it entails. Witches are awesome and Kira rocks that awesomeness well. She also rocks Ronan’s world. Just a great all around pairing here! Ronan’s patience balances out Kira’s fear and runner tendencies. Together they are bad-ass. I’m anxiously looking forward to the next Protectors book and the first in the new Protectors Mates series (yay for Nicole!). Buy the book, love the series- just what I’m saying.

BEST SERIES EVER!

I absolutely LOVED this series! Once I started reading it I couldn’t put it down. I started by reading Lee County Wolves and when I saw that the characters interacted I started The Protector’s series. I normally don’t go in for Vampire books but this series is not chills and gore like most Vampire books are. There is a good viable storyline, plenty of Villains and action but the main characters are believable as “undead” humans and are lovable, fierce, protective and loyal. And Funny. One character throughout the series is hilarious. I never failed to get a really good laugh out of his antics. Their interaction with each other and those they have sworn to protect is very touching and believable. Makes me wish there really were people like that in the world who protect the innocent. I can’t wait until Book 13 comes out as book 12 kinda leaves us hanging on what’s going to happen next. Also looking forward to the Mates series.

Witch Kira Grail is both envious and happy that her sister Mira’s (Invisible Warrior) life is changing but Kira’s not sure she should stop running…after all the curse is still on their family and she’s got the heart on her chest too now. Orjyll is still out there and hunting them.

Laid-back rancher, vampire warrior Ronan wasn’t looking for anyone but he can’t stop looking at Kira and he’s determined she’ll look at him the way the other mates look at their warriors. Wait! Did he just think mate?!

This outing is much softer than its predecessors and though the boys ‘tooth-up’, call for back-up and flex as usual this tale reads more like a straight contemporary romance. For my taste that would’ve been fine if I liked Kira more.

Vampires, witches, oh my

Kira is a witch and has a curse on her family that if they fall in love, the man dies. A warlock is after her and her sister because they are the last in her line and if they die he gets his powers back. Ronan is a vampire and owns a ranch where he tames horses. Ronan is quiet and deadly. When he realizes Kira is his mate, he’ll do anything to keep her safe. When they find out Kira is more powerful than she thought, that puts her even more in the crosshairs of the warlock after her. She’s the only one who can stop him but will she be ready when the time comes?
Excellent story. Funny and sexy. A vampire/cowboy ( hubba hubba) and a beautiful witch. A little bit of a cliffhanger. Mrs. Gableman always delivers on entertaining stories. Can’t wait for the next book.

Love a Cowboy.

I love this series. 12 books in and I'm still addicted to these warriors and their feisty women.

Ronan is no exception he's all kinds of Hot completely Alpha and he's a Cowboy to top it off.
Even though I did love Ronans book, I didn't feel his story had enough about him and Kira in it. I'd of liked more from them.
So these two didn't connect as well as the other couples for me.
However it didn't spoil my enjoyment, it's just a personal preference.

These books are seriously funny as hell. I literally laugh my Ass off whenever I read this series. This Author has a fantastic sense of humour which comes out in her writing and its one of the reasons I love this series so much. Well that and these Warriors are all kinds of Hott. ;)

I'm excited to see what happens next I'm already desperate for my next warrior fix.

Another winner in The Protectors series. Ronan, cowboy vampire warrior claims his mate in this exciting continuation of trying to find and kill the evil warlock Orjyll. I do love a man that only wear tight fitting jeans, boots and a cowboy hat....and so does Ronan's mate beautiful witch Kira Grail.

So in love with this series. Ronan and Kira make a great couple. We get to finally see crazy VC Warrior Steve marry his mate Mira. Hopefully we get yet another wedding to attend for our sexy cowboy and his witch in a future book. We get to see female warrior Jill, mate to the hot doctor Slade, get behind the wheel of a car again. There is nothing in this world more scary than being in a car with Jill driving...LOL I count the days until the next Protector book comes out....who will be the next VC Warrior to find their mate??

A good read

This was another great book by Teresa Gabelman and I'm glad to have found this author. Although it didn't grip me as much as the other books in the series and I believe that is because both Ronan and Kira only just joined the story whereas all the other Warriors and their mates have been their for the long haul, and integrated themselves into every book in their specific ways. But it was a great book that I really enjoyed, starring Ronan the incredibly sexy Cowboy warrior and Kira Grail one of the last remaining Grail women who must fight to survive so as to stop a powerful tyrant from gaining his full powers and destroying the world. But with help from the VC Warriors Kira, Mira, Drew and Bonnie will prevail or do they... Will supposed allies turn against each other. We'll have to wait and see.

Captivating from the very beginning. Powerful witch Kira Grail (sister to Mira, Steve's Mate) has to find a way to get rid of Orjyll. An evil Warlock trying to kill all the women of Grail descent, so he can be the most powerful of them all. Ronan the sexy cowboy VC Warrior Has a powerful attraction to Kira. This story is full of action and suspense. It also has loads of humor. Jared needs his head adjusted for his attitude. Steve and Mira have a wedding to plan.We get to see all of our Warrior favorites. This book has something for everyone. Teresa G. Just keeps giving us great stories to keep reading. If you love a PNR HEA and want to read some fabulous writing just get a copy and find out for yourself how this story turns out. From a True Fan... Pam James.

Vaguely unsatisfying

I have liked all of the books in this series, but I just didn’t connect with this one. I didn’t feel the same sparks with the main characters, even the I liked them both. It was also frustrating to see the what was going on with Jared and Tessa with no actual insight into them. We just see it from the outside looking in and that was very irritating. It felt unfinished. There was no acknowledgement of wrongdoing from most of the men and I am left with my respect for all of them diminished (Damon less than the others). That stunt they pulled, going off half-cocked, just seemed out of character. This may be the only book in this series that I won’t re-read.

I love The Protectors series, and each book keeps getting better and better. However, I was a little disappointed in Ronan and Kira's story. I just didn't connect with them and I didn't feel the swoon worthy romance between the two of them. I was also a little confused about the tiff between Tessa and Jared. Vampires are wired to keep their mates happy, but Jared had a real attitude with Tessa throughout the whole book. One thing I was pleased to see, was how the women seemed to finally come into their own. Spoiler Alert: The women save the warriors asses, twice...girl power. It looks like a spin off series is coming for the mates of the warriors. I can't wait to start that series and the next book of The Protectors series.

Ronan was intrigued by Kira, a witch, since he first saw her. She is beautiful with a self reliant edge to her. She is fiercely protective of her sister, Mira and her young niece. As Steve prepares to wed Mira, Ronan and Kira are thrown together often. He is designated to protect her and keep her safe. Kira has powers beyond her knowledge and must learn to use them effectively. Ronan seems to be more open and accessible than most of the group. He is kind, generous and appreciates Kira and her dedication to others. The relationship of Steve, who can drive the sanest vampire a bit batty, and Ronan is amusing. Ronan appreciates Steve’s humor and warm heart. Ronan has won as place as one of my favorite protectors.

Great cast of characters!

I love Ronan to death. He is kind, caring and a wee bit over protective, but loves wholeheartedly. When he makes a mistake he is willing to try anything to rectify it.
Kira is a little stubborn but has every right to be. She is the one who needs to fight Orjyll.
We meet newish characters Viktor, Bishop, Bonnie and the men from Roman's farm. We also learn about a bitter betrayal. All while the women show the men that they aren't the only one who are willing and able to fight against evil. I love it when the women win!
I love this group of people. Join in on the party and get to know this whole cast of hilariously funny characters! (Especially Steve, Jared and Sid)

Butter sweet

I love the writing., Up to a point. It's a great story line with just enough sex to make sense. What COMPLETELY ANNOYES me are the women. Ugh!!! All of them except for Mira are disrespecting, whiny babies. Allah's supposed to be this big scary boss but the women fight and contradict everything he says. And even though the author will toss in these little afterthought like "Tessa thought to herself in such a jerk for doing this or that it Becky on her first day of work jumping in with her girl power suggestions. I don't know, I guess I'm hoping the author would make the women less bitchy and whiny and more cohesive. I don't know. I do like most of the writing. I tend to skip over when the females start with their girl power attitude.
