Maybe the best Damien Kaine thriller yet!
Everyone who’s ever been in love—or who’s read a romance!—knows that keeping secrets can be deadly to a relationship. But “deadly” shouldn’t mean literally, deadly! Damien ended his last case by being handed a secret. One that threatens to destroy his life because it is about someone who wants to kill Dillon, the woman around who he’s built his life. Even as the reader knows Damien is on thin ice going it alone, watching him get closer and closer to the inevitable is gripping. He stands to lose so much if he’s wrong, but can he afford to take a chance and ask for help?
Wow! I loved this Book 4 of the Damien Kaine series! Very suspenseful!! And even though the mystery did start at the very end of Book 3, this is a stand-alone novel. Victoria Patton outdid herself with this book. Highly recommended!

Grammatical errors galore!
The story is intense and needed to be after the less exciting third book of the series. I am extremely disappointed and blown away by the amount of elementary-level grammatical errors. The storyline can only lend so much when you have to read through such ridiculous errors.

Wow!!!
Again another bang up read. What can I say this whiskey drinking writer knows how to put together great characters with a great story. Damien,Joe and Taylor have to go after a mad man from Dillons past before he killers her. The FBI are a piece of work in this one all they care about are the rules. Who will have their jobs after this.

Good read
It was a good book but not great. Took me longer to get through just because it didn't hold my intent as much as the first one in the series. Unsure whether the 5th book in the series is worth buying.
