You either hate him without a second thought or love him with all of you. There is no middle ground when it comes to Xavier. He pushes you to the extremes.
_______________________________

Xavier Arquette, BAD NEWS of Los Carlos, knows just the right string to pull when it comes to Alana Lancaster, his childhood sweetheart. He likes messing with her and seeing her scowl at him. To Xavier, that's the cutest thing in the world.

But Alana could possibly be the most clueless person on this planet and so, she tends to see Xavier's intentions... ANTI. Thanks to his 'Xavier doesn't give a fuck' attitude.

There's a lot of things Alana doesn't know.
She doesn't know that Xavier isn't the happiest person on the planet.
She doesn't know that he's scarred only because he loved too much.
She doesn't know that beneath that cold mask lies a heart.
She doesn't know that six years back, in elementary, Xavier, her childhood rival, has always liked her.

So what happens when Alana move back to Los Carlos after six years and the Bad News REMEMBER her?

Personal Response:
I really enjoyed this book because it kept me on my toes, waiting for the next exciting event to happen. It was very detailed with very little grammatical issues, which was surprising since it was an online book.

Plot:
Silhouette was in Alana’s point of view. She lost her mother due to cancer. She and her father left her hometown right after her mother’s passing. Six years later, Alana’s father decided to move back, since he missed living there. Alana decided to visit her mother’s grave, and that was where she met Xavier. He was a tall and mysterious guy. He was sitting on her mother’s grave. Alana remembered him from elementary school. Xavier tormented Alana, just as he did when they were kids. He always stole her starburst. He fed them to his dog. Little did Alana know, Xavier was secretly in love with her the entire time. Xavier did everything to get her attention, even if it meant embarrassing her with the little pranks he pulled on her. Eventually, Alana fell for Xavier and they stayed together.

Characterization:
The main characters were Alana and Xavier. They were a couple in love. Xavier changed a lot throughout the book because he had always been mean to Alana. He was nice to Alana after she fell in love with him. Alana was stubborn throughout most of the book. She never realized Xavier was in love with her and refused to believe it when everyone told her otherwise. At the end of book she changed her stubborn attitude toward Xavier and fell in love.

Setting:
The setting was San Carlos, California in modern time. It was during modern times because they had cell phones. Alana moved from Greenwood, California back to her hometown, San Carlos. San Carlos was important to the plot because Alana and Xavier spent a lot of their time at the beach.

Recommendation:
I would definitely recommend this book to girls who are really into romance. It was a bit too sappy for my taste. I would recommend girls to read this around the ages of 14-17. Anyone younger would not understand the mature content of the storyline.

This is one of the most innocent yet sexy and intricate story. It is just so relatable in many aspects and the story line is cohesive enough for everyone to read and feel what the characters are going through and knowing their emotions.
This book will make you laugh your ass of and make you cry and emotional at the same time conflicting your thoughts.
It is like a ride of an emotional roller coaster. You just can't stop reading once you start because it is very interesting and pique the readers attention.
