Trapped

Rate this book
Public Defender Loren Archer is kidnapped from a parking garage with two other men. Tied up and taken to an abandoned farmhouse, she is awestruck by the two hotter-than-sin men and they awaken her deepest fantasies. But Loren realizes what is missing in her life and doesn’t know how she can hold out for love from both of them. First, she has to get past their suspicions and gain their trust if they are going to survive in the small house together.

Detectives Cristiano Rodriguez and Garrett Deveroe are drugged and kidnapped, and wake to discover they are trapped in an old house with the woman they had tried to help. The dead bolts on doors and casement windows block any means of escape and there is no apparent way out. The detectives discover Loren’s father is a judge. They believe that is reason enough for her to have been kidnapped. Hard-ass Archer has plenty of enemies, but they need to tread carefully. Loren is as much victim as they are, and yet both men want the hot, gorgeous lawyer in their bed.

After days spent trying to bust out of the house, it’s only a matter of time before the tension snaps and Cris and Garrett’s smoldering arousal builds to breaking point.

And if they do escape, what can the future hold for two detectives and the daughter of a judge?

Please Garrett Deveroe is the older brother of Gage from the ebook Her Boss’s Best Friend, but each story is a stand-alone novel. This book is intended for readers over the age of 18 and is a full length erotica romance. Trapped was previously published online and edited by professional editors.

Reghan Ross writes erotica romance and is the author of Her Boss’s Best Friend, Trapped, and The Gardener. (Her previous short self-published ebooks are currently unpublished.)

When she’s not working on a sizzling story, she can be found reading one, or two, or three. Although she likes 70’s and 80’s music, epic music mixes do it for her when writing and trying to drown out the sound of lawn mowers or the household.

With Hollywood traveling to Cincinnati, her hometown, to make movies, Reghan got a small background part in the movie “Carol”. In true incognito style, you cannot see Reghan’s face in the final cut. Look for her sitting in the aisle in one of the café scenes.

I'd like to state for the record that virgin storylines aren't awesome. That is all.

When Detectives Cristiano Rodriguez and Garrett Deveroe are drugged and kidnapped along with attorney Loren Archer, they'll all do anything they can to escape the house they're trapped in. Garrett isn't sure how he can want to throttle Loren just as much as he wants to fuck the hell out of her, but every time he looks at her it's like a punch in the gut. For Cris too. When the men suggest sharing, the inexperienced Loren is shocked and very very turned on. The tension grows as the three try to escape as well as figure out who wanted Loren out of the way.

I was conflicted by the prospect of TRAPPED by Ms. Ross. Loosely related to her book Her Boss's Best Friend (which was a huge disappointment), I hoped that maybe this second read would give me the yumminess I crave in a ménage. Between the MFM promise and a suspense storyline, I kept my fingers crossed. Unfortunately, it wasn't to be. The story stalled before the 1/4 point, and the back and forth, will they or won't they in the house could've been cut in half as it went ON and ON and ON. The sexual tension fell really flat too, and I don't know if it was the whole virgin thing or the fact the men weren't used to sharing or that Garrett was kind of a douchenozzle or what, but I just wanted to get the initial sex over with in hopes that it would make the suspense portion of the story rev up. Nope. In fact, I may have sprained my eyes from rolling them so much at the ineptness of the two "detectives" and an attorney. Between the three of them, there was about one working brain (unless we're talking about the men's little brains, which worked just fine, over and over and over and over, every time they spotted Loren). Gaah! And the final straw was the blatant misogyny on the part of everyone:

Loren: "He didn't ask her, just demanded, and it sort of thrilled her. She clearly needed someone to tell her what to do."

Garrett: "He rubbed the back of his neck, uncomfortable with explaining anything to a woman."

Cris: "You don't know what you're asking, baby," Cris said, his voice low.
"I didn't ask for anything," she denied. "You did. You're just too inexperienced to know it. The way you just licked your lips was an invitation to touch."

Nope. That's like saying a woman who wears a tight dress is inviting men to touch…nuh uh, not going there. And I won't be going there with any future books by Ms. Ross either.

Bottom Line: No OM/OW; sharing between a MFM ménage; condom use; no BDSM; kink (I mean, it's one woman with two men...kinky); no sexual assault; mild violence; no murder (but there is a dead body).

I really enjoyed this book. It was a fascinating romantic suspense, where the tension keeps rising throughout because of the unusual situation and the uncertainty about the future.

After interrupting a kidnapping, Detectives Cristiano and Garrett find themselves locked in an isolated house with lawyer Loren Archer. It starts off tense because the detectives don't know what to make of Loren; what is going on with this kidnapping an is she involved or aware of the reason? Brewing along with it are other concerns though, such as why someone would kidnap them and place them in a house with supplies to last months and whether or not they have any other plans for them.

As time continues on the attraction between the three becomes hotter. What with the close quarters, tense situation, and the need for relief running high, all of them are feeling the desire for sexual release. The enforced time together also gets them to know each other and something more starts to build between them. It was fascinating and hot, but also tempered by their own psychological concerns and issues that have happened in the past. All three are a bit damaged and lonely and with time together they start to work through things they haven't been able to before.

This was a good book that did a really good job maintaining the mystery and suspense while still negotiating a tricky relationship and bringing it believably to fruition. Good read!

Trapped is about Loren, Garrett, and Cris. A lawyer and two detectives who find themselves trapped in a remote farmhouse, with no idea why they are there. Not only are they desperate to escape, but there is also the fact that Loren's birthday is coming up, and she is determined to lose her virginity as a present to herself. Just who has taken them, and why?

You get these answers, plus a whole lot more, in this book. There is a big dollop of insta-lust that quickly evolves into love, plus the whole 'we need to escape' business. There are plenty of twists and turns as you read along, trying to figure out whodunnit. The attraction between the three was so high I wondered at one point if it had something to do with the drug that the men had been injected with! Alas, no, I was wrong - it was all 100% pure attraction.

If I had to say anything negative about this book, it would be that the timing of certain conversations, and the way of speaking, particularly by Loren, is sometimes a tad stilted. However, this didn't have a negative impact on the story at all.

Well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book.
