That ended in disaster.

About the author

From my teenage years, all I wanted to do was become a writer one day. Even now as an adult woman with three children who are not so little anymore, I've always lived with my head in the clouds, a dreamer, often amusing myself with my own imagination. It might have taken me awhile to finally live my dream, but I did it. I hope to one day be good enough to stand beside the many talented writers out there who have kept me entertained with their wonderful stories over the years. I live in a sleepy country town in Tasmania, Australia with my three children, my little dog who thinks he’s a Dobermann. I've had to overcome many emotional obstacles along the way to get to this point and attempting to self-publish a book does tend to make a person feel like they've thrown themselves in at the deep end of the pool. Here's hoping some of you actually like what I write and save me from drowning in the deep end as I probably forgot to mention, I can't swim. J. A Melville.

Love at first sight? Maybe. Lust? Definitely! A "knight in shining armor" tries to rescue a "damsel in distress" from a cow. No, from a bull! But the bull wins and the damsel, Angelica, winds up rescuing the knight, Kane. After a series of embarrassing, humiliating, and/or infuriating events, Angelica discovers that Kane represents the future hopeful expansion for her life's mission, Angel's Haven, an animal rescue, rehab, and retirement "farm". This is a very well written tale with well developed characters and an engrossing storyline that flows from the pages and right into your heart. It's a romance that includes a few unconventional realities of "real life" including vengeful insects and human foibles. I laughed, cried, and cheered while reading the book. Hats off to J A Melville for another winning read that belongs on your must-read list!

This is a story that will chase the bad away from your day. It's hot, steamy, and hilarious. You should read this book when you're down. It will pull you out of the rut that you are in. The characters come to life with their larger than life personalities. The story is plausible. I will definitely recommend this story to others.

I one-clicked It Started With You right after reading the blurb. It grabbed my attention right away and I am always looking for my next favorite RomCom. Let me tell you It Started With You went in a direction I totally didn’t see it going. The book is funny in its own way with a lot of bad fortune that happens to poor Kane
that leaves you just shaking your head and giggling inside from the shear silliness.

It Started With You was an entertaining, sweet book. It did take me a couple of days to read but at the end of the day I loved getting to know Angelica and Kane. The chemistry between the two was off the charts and was hot and heavy.

This is my first book by J.A. Melville and has definitely peaked my interest and I will be checking out more of her books.

This book had me laughing. Kane at times frustrated the hell out of me and so did Angelica but I guess that’s real life for you.
Then Kane has me swooning and making me love him. I really enjoy getting to know these characters.
