This box set pissed me off. Three of the stories literally ended with no HEA or HFN. They ended with; "Stay tuned for the next installment of..." NO! When a box set has stories, we the readers EXPECT our HEA or HFN. Not a cliffhanger. Not a Buy my next installment to find out what happens.
Sad part is, I did enjoy the stories, but I cannot, will not be party to this kind of bait and switch. I'm sorry to the honest authors in the box set who will be affected by my review. Consider carefully vetting exactly who you are allowing in to your box set and whether their serials are what you want to be included with your stand alone. I have no problem with series, where the first book gives me a HFN as it goes along.
Must Read Possessive by Willow Winters Another amazing read that I couldn’t put down. What if you love someone but they were another’s? I absolutely love this book, it will definitely give you all the feels. Love, loss, guilt, and finally finding happiness. Addison, Tyler and Daniel will have you glued to your kindle and not wanting to stop reading. I don’t want too give anything away because I hate spoilers but trust me you will want too read this book. I’m dying to read the next book in this series but I need to know who wants to come after the Cross’s & Addison.
There’s No Light in Darkness by Claire Contreras This is my first book by Claire and it will not be the last. From the beginning of this book I was hooked from the start. This story had action, romance and was definitely intrigued. I need the next book ASAP.
Even though this book has seriously great writers, there is one author who dared to put a CLIFFHANGER in there, and you can only get it by joining her author page.......HOW DARE YOU ? Claire Contreras, very cheesy! Thankfully I've read most of the authors and have their books already! I'm not condemning this book, just skip Claire's !!!!!!
The Pawn is the first book in the Endgame series and it is another phenomenal read by Skye Warren. Avery is beautiful, naive and privileged. Suddenly her world is turned upside down and she finds herself in desperate need of money. She only has one choice...one option left.... Gabriel is dark, mysterious, dominant and powerful. He demanded all my attention and I fell hard for him. This book will grip you from the beginning and leave you screaming for more. You will definitely want to dive into The Knight, Endgame Book 2.
“Tell me, little virgin. Did you imagine you could fix me? Did you think if you beat me at chess, I’d learn my lesson? But I won the game, didn’t I? You lost.”
More reviews to come!

I don't care for most of these books, but I'll keep the box because of the few really good ones.
Going Down Easy by Carly Phillips - 6/10 Possessive by Willow Winters - dnf (1st POV in present tense - I refuse to read books in PT, especially in 1st POV as it sounds ridiculous) There is No Light in Darkness by Claire Contreras - dnf (1st POV in present tense - see above) Resisting the Bad Boy by Violet Duke - 7/10 (despite being a 1st POV and a serial without warning) The Pawn by Skye Warren Garrison's Creed by Cristin Harber - 9/10 (good and supenseful plot) Marriage Material by Barbara Samuel - 8/10 If You Were Mine by Jenika Snow - dnf (so many spelling mistakes in my copy I stopped) Bare Ass in Love by Sasha Burke - dnf (1st POV in present tense - see above) Making Her Melt by Amber Lin - 6/10 (unbelievable that she stays with #1 for so long)
The Pawn by Skye Warren WOW!!The writing is absolutely flawless it will keep you reading until the end craving what comes next .Gabriel is a very secretive puzzle to figure out but everything you want and need. Avery is a very desperate woman at the moment and will do anything she has to to survive not knowing the whole truth. Cannot wait to find out in Book two.
Loved Going down easy . Garrisons Creed was. Pretty good, The pawn,Resisting the bad boy was good but didn't end you have to read next book. Possessive was a little dark There's no light in darkness was not something I could get into.Marriage Material and Bare ass naked was for.
I chose the 5 star rating because I enjoyed reading the books. There was new authors and new books that I haven't read before and it was really nice to read them. I would recommend this boxed set to anyone who wants to read 'hot stubborn alpha males' and try not fall in love with them.
I love anthologies. I get to know new authors. I get to enjoy old favorites. And if I don't like a book I don't feel guilty about not finishing because an anthology is just an introduction to an author's work.
I enjoyed reading each book in this boxed set most of them was very entertaining which I enjoyed a lot while others left me wondering where they were going with them.
It's ok. I liked that it was free and the stories are very different from each other. What I liked less was that most novels where first parts of series and just drawn out to try and suck you in to buy also the sequels.
I have issue with all but three of the stories. The others were either cliffhangers (which I loathe with all my heart) or so poorly edited to the point of distracting.
Too much sex and not enough of a good plot. I misunderstood the title and I could only read about 10 pages and saw what it was. I’m 81 and this is not my kind of books. Maybe for young folks...been there done that & don’t like this.
love all these great books!! 1/Going down easy 4 * 2/ Making her melt 4* 3/ garrison`s creed 3* 4/ there is no light in darkness C/H 4* 5/ the Pawn 5* 6/ Reisting the bad boy C/H 4* 7/ Possessive 4* 8/ Marriage Material 5* 9/ If you were mine 3* 10/ bare ass in love 5*.
I've said it before about anthologies; the problem is that each story can be wildly different. And not always in a good way. The editing is lacking. The JS story is really hard to understand because it doesn't seem to have been edited.
I didn't realise when I started it that it was a collection of books by different authors. I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed each story and found new authors to read.
This is a great sample of authors. Some were series books and a few were serials. All are good romances by authors I read along with some new authors to add to my list.
