Since i`ve begun my blogging journey (almost 5 years ago now), i`ve had the opportunity to come to love ‘meeting’ new authors that I never would have thought I could have read their books. Their stories are always something magical to get into, and then there are some that no matter what they write, you just have to get your hands on them because they get you.
Amber Lacie was one of those authors – an author that her stories just called out to you. So of course, you’d hope, even expect, that their writing would get better with each published novel, especially as they gain more experience and work with an editor that knows what they’re doing. So yeah, even if I ‘expected’ great things from this author, i`m still amazed at just how great her books are.
Reflections is very different from her previous books – really, i`m convinced she has this insane need to break reader’s worlds and force them to pick up the pieces as they sob over the pages, but this, this was different. It was edgy, it was entertaining and it was the kind of book that made you want to jump right in and go kick Kayla’s ex in the balls for being such a jerk.
Then you have Evan. Is he really what he claims to be? Personally, I don’t think so. I`m not saying that his actions aren’t douchey, because they are, but I get it. I really do. And I get Kayla’s actions too.
Can I say that i`m totally into these two? Ok, then I admit it. I am totally into these two. They are entertaining. And this author does older man/younger woman romance very well. You would think that Amber Lacie has years of writing this type of trope, but for real, it’s her first and she does a great job at it!
Easily, this author has become one of my go to authors because when she writes, I connect, and I can`t wait for more from her.

As always Amber Lacie provided us with a romance that will curl your toes. Picking right up from her two bestsellers Shadow and Light Reflections never misses a beat. The story of Evan and Kayla two broken people that have been looking for love but didn't know it until one night at a wedding where they came together and sparks flew. Seven years later and Evan hopping from bed to bed he gets a call to come home for a wedding. Kayla didn't have much luck with love so having Evan coming home and having her heart ripped out again was not what she wanted. Amber Lacie brought in Theron and Eve who at this point have children and got their happily ever after. Spunkie Eve tries to help with the romance and Theron just tries to keep Eve out of the fire. I can say after reading all of Amber Lacie's books she has not lost her touch and I hope to see who she's going to write about next.

Holy Moly! I still have no idea where to start this review. I took a day to just think about it, I still haven't come up with the right thing to say. I am in love with Evan I have claimed lol (I licked him so he's mine). Just like all the other books from this author she does not disappoint. There was a couple times I had tears in my eyes. But I survived! Evan is super hot x-military and Kayla wanted nothing to do with men after what happened in her past ( sorry you will need this book to find out what happens). I could not sit still reading this book. The chemistry between these two is off the charts. This book will have you on the edge of your seat and wishing you BOB was closer. You will need extra batteries for this book or recharge it. I was hooked to Kayla and Evans story right away. I could not put this book down, I had it read in just a couple hours! Everyone will want to meet Evan. This is a must read!

I had to stay up to finish this book. The writing is fantastic and drew me in from the very beginning. I loved Theron and Eve's story in Shadows and Light and got to meet Evan in their book so I knew I was in for a treat. What a brooding hunk of a man he is. I Love Evan! I also kinda have a girl crush on Kayla!
This book is fabulous. I was bowled over with the twists and turns, flooded with love when Evan goes all alpha on anyone who dares to even look at Kayla the wrong way! Go Evan. These two are made for each other, you just feel it. At the beginning of the book I wanted to give him a slap for being an idiot but, meh! Men eh? They all act like idiots at times, right?
Kayla is feisty and really makes me proud of her when she flips. I'd love to be friends with her and Eve; never a dull moment.

This is the third book in a series and is a novella. This book was really good. Evan is the mysterious strong silent type, and Kayla is anything but. It was really fun seeing them come together after such their history. I loved their dialogue with each other, and how they treated each other. I'm really looking forward to this author's next book.

I wasn't sure if have time to read this one at this time. But sleep is over-rated! This is the 3rd in the series and it picked right up where the 2nd left off. Amber is an amazing writer, she sucks you in andbyou can't put it down. There is always love stories, hot encounters, and some kinda action/drama. Each book could easily stand on its own merit. But together they are one hell of a story. The characters are real feeling and lovable

I love Evan and Kayla's story so much. The intrigue of Nick and Paul's activities was suspenseful. A little bit of Eve and Theron add some humor and history. The mystery of Jyllyan. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

I have to say that Amber Lacie did it again! She sucked me into another book that I couldn't put down! If you've read books one and two of this series, then you know that Evan and Kayla needed their own happily ever after too! I'm so glad they got it! If you need a little drama, and a lot of romance this is your book!

This is the third book in the Love Ever After series that features Kayla and Evan, (these two were secondary characters in the previous books) and can be read as a standalone although I would suggest that you read the first two books just to get their full background.
Evan was Isa’s (Theron’s grandmother) bodyguard/assistant and when she passed away, Theron became his responsibility too. When something happened in the previous books it was Evan who got his act together and saved the day. Evan’s steadfast loyalty and bravery made him the perfect go-to person for Theron and Eve. His one night with Kayla at the wedding reception started a fire in his heart that won’t go away. After seven years of absence, he comes back. Will Kayla give him a second chance even though he left her that night?
Kayla is Eve’s best friend, a strong-minded young woman, independent, funny and sassy. When she broke up with her fiancé Paul, she turned to Evan for one night of passion and then he disappeared. Now that Evan is back is she willing to take the risk of getting hurt again?
I have read the previous books and although Theron and Eve’s story was full of drama I wasn’t keen on their character development. However, this third book featuring Kayla and Evan made me feel more emotionally invested; I love heroines who are tough and keeps on getting up even when they are kicked to the ground. With Evan’s background as ex-military, he is proven to be one not to mess with. This is a very well written narrative told in alternating points of view. A second chance romance interlaced with intrigue and drama provided by Kayla’s ex-fiancé and her dad, both of which she could do without in her life. I couldn’t put this book down I was drawn right in from the first page until the last chapter; the added bonus is you also get to read about Eve and Theron. But to be honest, my favourite couple is Kayla and Evan, their story is too adorable you don’t want to miss it!

With each book of Amber Lacie’s that I’ve read I have just fallen in love with her writing more and more, she knows how to pull at all of your emotions and get you completely hooked on what the characters are going through. If you’ve not picked up any of Amber’s work then you need to change that because she is such a talented writer, you’ll not be able to help but fall in love with her work as she writes stories that grip you from beginning to end. Amber managed to perfect her characters and do such an amazing job with them, I just found myself wanting more by the time I got to the end. I honestly can’t wait to see what else she comes up with as her mind is such an intriguing place, seriously pick up your copy and judge for yourself if this is something that is for you.
Evan thought that he didn’t deserve to be happy or even have love, so when he saw his chance to escape from it all he took it. He believes that he is a monster, but he doesn’t realise that there are others around him that care and feel differently about him, yet he makes one fatel mistake just before he leaves…..
Years later he is still trying to escape the past, but there just seems to be a problem, with the wedding of his best friend’s wife’s brother approaching it means he has to go back to where it all began… Will things still be as they were when they left or will they be different in ways in which he ever imagined.
Evan thought that he didn’t deserve to be happy or even have love, so when he saw his chance to escape from it all he took it. I love ALL of Amber Lacie's books. I love how quickly I become absorb within Amber's story, it's as if everything around me disappears and all that's left are the characters on the pages in front of me.
By the end of Shadows and Light, I was intrigued to see what would become of ex-military Evan and and the heartbroken Kayla.
Reflections was perfect and let's just say Amber writes a mean (but in a good way) leading man. Evan's strong and powerful on the outside but has a weak heart for the ladies in his life.
Kayla's a beautiful young lady who's had her broken by the man she thought she was meant to be with, but when he revealed his true intentions Kayla was left with nothing but pain.
I thoroughly enjoyed Reflections and everything this story had to offer, from the tux fitting's to Brix's bride-zilla moment's, along with the twisted dealings of Kayla's father and Paul, I just couldn't wait to find out what would happen next.

Secrets, lies, betrayal, this author does these types of books in her sleep. Her characters grow on you even when you don't want to like them. He saw her and had to have her but. . . She had been emotionally beat up and broken down when he found her sobbing. He broke her further when he disappeared. Now he's back and on a mission. Calling in favors. Taking control. Proving his love. But that isn't all. Nothing is ever easy and of course these two are no different. We see some old friends and some groveling. We also see a beat down and some big time confrontations. It's a great read, with some steam and passion because of course the chemistry is off the chain and we get to laugh at the antics of the two besties. But mostly we see him do what he does best, capturing the bad guys and taking care of his lady love. Great read and yes it comes after the Shadows series so you know who Eve and Theron are and how these two first met.

It was so nice to see old friends! Evan and Kayle are Eve and Theron's best friends and were great secondary characters in books 1 & 2. Their story can be read as a stand-alone but if you haven't read Shadows and Light what are you waiting for? This book picks up right where 2 leaves off. This story is full of emotion and mystery! The author writes characters in a way that you connect with them on a deeper level and root for them. After all their pain they deserve to find happiness. Take the journey with them. Evan is rough around the edges but has a big heart and is strong and loyal to those he loves. If I was in trouble this is the man I would want in my corner. It's a definite must read!

This is the third book of the series and you can read it by itself although why would you want to? The series is awesome as a whole.
Evan has been a man of mystery. He was a bodyguard, a business man and a lover. The woman that he did all these things for was much older than him and passed away. And he's lost. She centered him. Until Kayla. Kayla was in a relationship that did her no favours. Her fiancee got caught cheating and wasn't ashamed about it. Now seven years later and her step father keeps throwing them together. Evan on the other hand has disappeared from her life after consoling her in the best way. Too bad he couldnt and wouldn't stick around.
I really want Evan for myself. He's protective, loyal, and a little broken but he loves with everything he's got. Kayla is his perfect match. She doesn't put up with his disappearing act and makes him work for her good graces. If I could be any of Ms. Lacie's characters, Kayla would be the one. I could do without her crazy family and I don't mean that in a good way. Her step father is beyond words. Him and the ex, I could do without.

Amber has never disappointed me! Reflections is the third book in the series and I have loved every one in the series. This story is a quick read, I did not want to put it down to do adulting. There were lots of feels in this book; angst, anger, tears, tears of joy and more.
I am not gonna lie, I fell in love with Evan. He really proved himself the sexy hot alpha male. The chemistry was most definitely there between Evan and Kayla. I felt so bad for Kayla. She had been through so much.
Once again Amber did a great job. I can’t wait for more! Go one click Reflections! You will love it like I did!

Wow!
Evan........Evan, Evan, Evan! My heart hurt big time for this man. If you have read the first two books in this series, you will know why. He never hesitates to step in and help those close to him but when tragedy strikes he needs to distance himself for a while. But before he does, a blonde angel makes him breath again.
Seven years later and he is back and he isn't taking no for an answer, she is his reasons for living. His reason for finally taking his head out of his......well you know what I mean!
Evan is all things alpha!! He has been keeping a quiet eye on his blonde angel and will stop at nothing to break those who dare to break her.
My heart!!

Amber Lacie writes the best Alpha men and she did not disappoint in this book. I loved being back in this series and seeing Theron (swoon) and Eve but most of all, I LOVED getting Evan's book. Evan is everything and I truly enjoyed his story. It was well worth the wait!
The writing was spot on and the story flowed smoothly. My heart hurt for Kayla. I just wanted to hug her and protect her and not gonna lie, as much as I loved Evan, I wanted to punch him in the beginning but he soon redeemed himself.

Although this book isn’t focussed on Eve and Theron, it has to be my favourite of the series as it features a character I was desperate to know more about, Evan.
Evan is such a complex character with a difficult background. He is also a very loyal person whose relationship with Theron went above and beyond his original duties. I loved the closeness the pair shared as it was more of a friendship than a boss and employee relationship.
This was a perfect end to a great series.

Amber Lacie has done it again!!! Reflections focuses on Kayla and Evan. You will be laughing and crying over the goldfish, then cheering on Kayla for standing her ground, wanting to pound certain people into the ground, and then re-reading what was done with bed sheets just so you got it right! This is why Amber is in my top 5 favorite authors!!! You could read this as a stand alone, but things are referenced from book 1 and 2, so it would be helpful to read those first. Great story!!!!

Talk about Wow!
Wow! This book was great. Evan and Kayla are the strongest most stubborn loving people I've read. Will these two over come their pasts and make something of a future. Or will they not get such a happy ending. After reading the Shadow series I was so excited to know Evan and Kayla were getting their story. I really enjoyed reading it. Some of it surprised me with how their story went but sure didn't disappoint me. Great book.

Excellent!
This is the well written third book of the "Love Ever After" series. After Eva and Theron found their happy ending in book 2 it was great to find out what happened to Evan.....Therons best friend and right hand man. After the events that took place Evan had to leave and was away for years. He was also a man with a very troubled past and I wondered how he would live his life alone. Things however changed for him but he had a lot of work to do to make things right. Again this story was full of love ,regret, mistakes and passion.

Evan has been a broody, sexy man since light and I couldn’t wait to get more of him and his backstory! Kayla has always been a feisty woman and I loved seeing her fierceness and her independence!
Their story and their journey is one full of ugly twists and suspenseful turns that have you turning the page till you devour this book whole! I couldn’t put it down and I loved every second of it

Yay!! I'm so glad that Evan got his happily ever after!!! He deserved it so much. I love his character and how vulnerable he is. Of course, he is too macho to admit it or show it, but that is what makes him lovable. Now, Kayla...I was completely shocked when I read how this part of the story transpired. I would have never guessed, but it worked out so well. I loved Kayla and Evan together.

It has been nearly four years since I've read Shadows & Light, I was glad that Eve and Theron found their happy ending with 4 babies in Kayla and Evan's story..
It would be better if I re-read Shadows & Light before I read Reflections, you would know more about Kayla and Evan..
Overall, it's fast-paced story and you could not help to put it down!

Pain, heartache, healing, family drama, suspense, love, humor. This story has it all! Part of me wishes I would have reread the first two books before going into this one, but little things here and there made me go "oh yea!". Amber puts her heart and soul into her books and it sure shows!

I so loved Kayla & Evan's story! Their love started with heartbreak and evolved into mind blowing chemistry! It was so sad the crap Kayla had to deal with on a daily. This story is so full of Hotness and suspense! Amber Lacie never fails to give you all the feels!! Another fantabulous read by her!
