Storyteller, Creative and Author. Ayse Hafiza loves anything scary, but must admit she is the biggest scary cat she knows. Regularly watching movies between her gaps in her fingers, it doesnt take much to scare her.

I enjoyed the story, and I would have given it more if it wasn’t for the irritating Americanisms.

The story centres on an English, older couple who die then a British Asian family move in to their house - “I’ll fix you a snack”, “mom” these are a few example but there are several.

It was a classic ghost story, and I’d probably read the other two in the series but I wouldn’t go out of my way to read them.

All these are Americanisms that I found really really irritating, I enjoyed the story, there was some tension, and build up but I felt there could have been a bigger build up abs more made of the ending, which fell a bit flat.

My main bugbear was the Americanisms, why would you write about an English family and then use American language? It feels carelessly written and sort of rushed for that reason.

Kind of disappointing.

Going by the lack of reviews not many people have read this gem. I liked it & it kept me wanting until the very last page, fast paced, great storyline & just the right amount of suspense & horror for me.
