Growth Mindset: 5 Ways to Change the Way You Think, Boost Personal Development and Achieve Success in Your Life

Rate this book
Use This Book To Develop A Strong Mindset And Set Yourself Up For Success! Think of any goal that you gave yourself, which, after the initial enthusiasm, fizzled out even before you began working towards it. Let me give you some examples that are sure to reverberate with you. Example 1: I want to become a good public speaker. You are moved by your self-development goal initially and you try doing it a couple of times, perhaps. The first time you try it, you might be tongue-tied and after that painful experience, you tell yourself that you are naturally a shy person and talking in public is simply not your forte, right? Sometimes, you choose to not even try it once because of this limiting thought. Example 2: You want to become a runner. You speak about your goal with your parents or siblings or friends and they all tell you that no one in your family has any athletic genes and so how can you become a runner? So, you give up the goal because your mind has already been cast in stone that you have limitations and you cannot achieve what others can. Example 3: You want to lose weight. You try diets and a few exercise regimens, maybe. When it doesn’t work, you begin to find limiting reasons why it did not work. These reasons could include telling yourself that you have a slow metabolism or that your entire family has weight issues. You stop trying because of these limiting thoughts. Look at each of these scenarios (or any other of your own) and you will notice the common thing that is working against your goals is your own mind and your own thoughts. You THINK you cannot do it. You THINK there are insurmountable obstacles. You THINK that the other person has done it only because you THINK he or she has a trait that you don’t possess. You THINK you are incapable. You THINK it is a waste of time and effort. The mind is FIXED on certain thoughts and refuses to grow. This fixed mindset is your primary and only deterrence from thinking positively, from boosting your personal development and from achieving success. You simply need to change from a FIXED mindset to a GROWTH mindset to think positively, grow personally and achieve success.
