Stefan M. Nardi

Stefan M. Nardi grew up on a healthy diet of books, books and more books (pretty sure there was some lollies and other junk in there too). He read his first fantasy novel, Deltora Quest when he was 6 years old. Coincidently it was about the same time that his dad sat him in front of the TV and put Star Wars in the VCR. From then on he was hooked, he consumed every fantasy and science fiction novel, television show and movie he could get his hands on. He is now a self-confessed nerd and can be found most days with his eyes glued to a television or wedged firmly in the pages of a book.

After writing many horrible first chapters of various stories which usually ended up in the bin, in 2015, at the ripe old age of 21, he managed to get to the second chapter of (and eventually complete) a story and released his first fantasy serial 'Crossbones'.

He currently lives in Brisbane, Australia with his loving girlfriend (Hi sweetie!) and his wonderful parents and brother. He also now feels like one of those annoying people who talk about themselves in the third person all the time and is going to stop now. He promises.

Great collections of stories from great authors. Also made #1 best seller on Amazon in the first week! Full disclosure, I'm a contributing author on this anthology.

I bought this because of the story about the Gallows twins by Sharon Stevenson. It took me a while to read the rest of the stories because I have an incredibly long tbr list. All of the stories were interesting, and I will definitely be checking out some of the other works by several of these authors. Overall, this is a well written compilation with stories that are interesting to read. Devyn Jayse also has a story featured in this collection, and she was the other author that I have read before. If you have enjoyed any of the authors that took part in this collection, I believe you will enjoy all of the stories.

“I took on the challenge to write a science fiction story that played on the words of the volume it appears in, Beyond the Black.”- D M Pruden

This new anthology of SciFi shorts helped introduce me to some new-to-me authors, and isn’t that what short stories are meant to do? Each of the 13 stories presented give you a taste for what these authors can do with words and some time to write. The stories are delightfully overwhelming in fast paced intelligent format that will be a multi reread in my future.

An excellent compilation of stories all in one great place. My favorite was from the Gallow series by Sharon Stevenson. Beauty Bewitched finds the twins Shaun and Sarah facing vampires and something a little more sinister in a spooky old mansion. I love the back and forth between the two. It never gets old and every short story always gives a little more depth to them. Love the series and love this quick read.

A Totally Worthwhile Reading!

A collection of strong characters and well written shorts bound to one another. Each interesting and outstanding in their own ways as extensions of the contributing authors previous or on going works. One exception, at the end is an original work which was as strong and well written as the others by established authors. Money well spent!!!

This is a collection of a great variety of SciFi stories. I'd call it a set of introductions to some really interesting characters and series instead of stand alone short stories. They were all well written and I enjoyed meeting these characters.
