Perhaps the most influential living philosopher is Ken Wilber, who is known for his work on “mapping of human consciousness”. The most profound implication of his work is that every product of human thought, every psychological therapy, religion and, philosophy no matter how much they are in disagreement with one another, are in fact part of the same larger system – despite their differences. The integral map of human consciousness is a guideline of how everyone can get along to form more a robust and rich family, community, society and global population. After reading Ken’s books, I was inspired by this idea in my field of work, and the immediate applications and solutions it presents to many challenges. Just like over 10,000 years of work on human consciousness, the last 100 years of business analytics – particularly last 10 to 15 years of the modern-era cloud business environment – generated rampant fragmentation across industries and businesses small and large. The sheer number of ideas, tools, and experts can be confusing to the business leads without a background in the art and science of business analytics. My goal for this book is to provide the same higher-level integral map to your business analytics. You will learn why you must apply some concepts, you should apply some concepts, and perhaps how some other concepts can be ignored for your business. This book will give you confidence in the direction of your business analytics practice, it will help you navigate the highly fragmented marketplace, and will help you see the territory more clearly while considering all of important implications for your business.
