Worth It #2

Worth Every Cent

Secrets are diseases, and my life is full of them.

Going back to where I grew up solved nothing. Coming back home brought no peace. And now—as I look over Anton's last piece of property—I still have no peace.

My godfather's death brought a woman into my life. But a stupid argument ripped her away. I can't stop thinking about her. Wondering about her. Dreaming about her. All I know is I have to see her. I have to feel her body pressed against me again.

Secrets are diseases, and my life is full of them.

But she isn't innocent either. And encounters in my hometown after a brawl in a bar make me wonder if my money is all she's after. Will she forgive the things I said? Can she look past the rumors and see the man I am now? Or are my assumptions of her true?

One thing's for certain. One big, bold truth that keeps me up at night: I think I've fallen for the woman with the thick red hair and the eyes that sparkle with delight.

Warning: This is a steamy romance story that includes adult content suitable for readers 18+

Epic cliffhanger hanger

I know what was going to happen, kinda, but then I’m reading and as it’s unfolding in front of me, I can’t believe it!! Book two ends a lot like book one ends, with a massive fight between Gray and Michelle along with a not so pleasant surprise. If I say anything else I’ll be giving too much away.

I’m enjoying this series so much. The characters are brilliant. They are well written with great personalities. They have lots of chemistry between them. Looking forward to the next book. Great performance.

Together?

When she gets fired from her job, he is their to comfort her. He goes to the flowers. While there some teenagers come and say how she is seeing her ex on the side. Then he tells him she is pregnant . He does not believe it is his and he storms out the door as he calls her a gold digger.

I really like the characters in this series. What I don't like is the cliffhangers at the end of the first and second book. A lot of repetition allows for more $$ to be made on book sales when the book is dragged out over 3 books. I could have been a longer book and said just as much.

This series was ok. I don’t like books that end in cliff hangers even though I love series. This should of just been one big book. But regardless of that the characters were good but I wish there was a bit more backstory or fleshing out the damage from their pasts. After a while the sex scenes because redundant and seemed to be the only way the characters connected … they didn’t actually talk. And I felt like the male lead got off the hook way too easily for some of his actions. But it was an ok quick read overall.

Would I recommend: maybe
