Rye Hart has gone & done it again with Rugged Daddy. Here we're seeing multi billionaire Cameron 'Andrew' living out in the middle of a mountain keeping himself & his 4 yrs old daughter Aubrey 'Rebecca' w/o would love a sibling, in an witness protection like way, with the help from his best mate FBI Agent Hudson, after repercussions from his actions after watching his brother being killed.
Then we have struggling cake shop owner Heather who is desperate to expand her small shop but she needs funds which she's finding hard to come by well that is until she comes across an ad to be a surrogate mother, which would cover the amount she would need.
When they meet they have this connection but her feelings go quite deep really quickly after spending time with both Cameron & Audrey & seeing how they ate together.
And it's during this time after she tells him how she felt and Cameron won't trust anyone with his heart EVEN if they don't know his 'real self', but he, himself also have deep feelings for Heather even though he doesn't want to admit it, that is until both of their lives changes when the men have located the area Cameron is & he had to tell Heather even at the risk of her detesting him, but he's the one who can protect her if they find out about their relationship.
So we see the family come closer but things do take a turn for the bad then turns again.
See if Heather will be able to forgive Cameron for not telling her, who he REALLY is???
It's a fast moving story where I couldn't put it down & read it in one....

Cameron had it all, money, and family until his brother did something dumb that endangered everything. Now his brother is dead and Cameron and his little daughter Audrey are in hiding on top of a mountain away from everyone else. Cameron feels guilty about how isolated he has kept his daughter especially after a talk with her preschool teacher. He decides that the best solution is to hire a surrogate to provide a sibling for Audrey.
Heather is trying to make her dream come true with her own bakery. However just months after she opened another bakery started up and is undercutting her at every turn. If she doesn't get money to make improvements, her store will go under. Then she finds out about this agency that is looking for women to become surrogate mothers. Mothers get paid a large sum and all medical care is covered. Heather believes this is her chance and signs up.
Cameron and Heather get paired up and are planning a business arrangement. The problem is their feelings for each other are anything but businesslike. This is a good story about two people finding each other in a most unusual way. I voluntarily received a copy of this story and this is my honest review.

This is a sweet story about Cameron and all he has gone through the past couple of years. One day Cameron watches his brother get shot and dies in his arms. He gets revenge and beats up the guy responsible and ends up making the Mafia angry. Cameron is forced to sell his business and move and change his and his daughter’s name to remain safe. Aubrey gets lonely and Cameron looks into a surrogate, Heather to have another child for him. Heather runs her own bakery in town and hopes to become a surrogate to raise funds needed to expand and pay off loans for her business. They never get a contract written up and things do not work out through the agency. Once Cameron goes to apologize for his rude behavior Heather and Cameron give into the feelings they have for one another. Once Heather finds out she is pregnant does their journey turn into more than figuring out how to handle the pregnancy. Cameron’s only goal is to protect and keep Aubrey, Heather and the baby safe. Rye Hart, USA Today Bestselling Author, has done it again and composed for her reader's a romantic and passionate story about a single dad, Cameron, who is o the run from the Mafia and 'hiding' out in the mountains of Montana.  It's there that he meets the lovely heather who runs her own bakery.  She's lonely and very attracted to Cameron when they meet.  When the idea for a sibling for Audrey, his adorable little girl, is raised, Heather, whose business could do with help financially, agrees to be a surrogate for him.  But this is a story by Rye so the two main protagonists are sparkling with chemistry that is off the charts and these two people are who come 'alive' before your very eyes are you read this unexpected romance.  With just enough suspense, a really cute little girl, a strong woman and a true alpha male who will do anything for the ones he loves and will protect with his dying breath.  Have your fans at the ready and in working order, set to max cool as you're going to need it!! I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

I just finished Rugged Daddy. Wow it is not a typical romance story! I received an ARC and I am writing this review voluntarily. Another great book from Rye. Heather is a bakery owner who needs money for her business to expand and thrive. She has tried to get a loan but has been turned down. Andrew is a billionaire hiding in a cabin he had built in the mountains for him and his daughter Rebecca. They are trying to avoid some bad guys from the Mafia who are looking for him. A few years ago his brother Luke got mixed up with them, owing gambling debts. Andrew got them the money but they killed Luke in front of him. He almost beat the guy to death. Andrew had to protect himself and his baby. He sold everything off and working with his friend in the FBI they decided hiding would be best for now. Poor Rebecca is now 5 and very lonely. Andrew keeps her away from people for safety but has it pointed out that she needs playmates. He decides to get a surrogate to carry a child for him. This is how Heather and Andrew meet! There is lots of action and of course sex. Worth reading!

Well written story with some sex scenes. The first chapters are quite surprising with the surrogate mother idea, but then, there’s the attraction and the action scenes. The endearing characters are good.
Cameron is hiding in the mountains with his daughter Audrey (called Rebecca) because his brother was shot for debs by the mafia. Cameron beat the killer but he’s now a target. He has a problem with his daughter of 4, because it’s hard for her to socialize. So he decides to give her siblings…(of course everyone would think like him with a mafia problem… ;)
Heather needs money to save her bakery and she finds the surrogate mother's ad, then she meets Cameron.
After some hesitations, they find themself struggling between keeping it professional or be more sentimental. When they decide, they have to deal with jealousy of an admirer, the mafia and protect their lives.

Cameron is in hiding after trying to take on the Mafia. He'll do anything to protect his daughter. He wants her to have a normal family life even if it means, having a surrogate give him another child.

Heather is a struggling small business owner. Her bakery is trying to compete with another bigger one. It doesn't matter what she does, she can't seem to get ahead. On top of that, a guy from high school keeps coming into her shop and trying to throw his money at her. Down on her luck, Heather finds a website that will pay to be a surrogate.

Cameron and Heather meet to go over their surrogacy but the unexpected happens and sparks fly. Now that Heather is tied to Cameron, she's in danger with the Mafia too? Cameron has to keep everyone safe and try to bet the Mafia without losing his daughter and Heather.

I loved this one! After witnessing his brother's death by the mob, Cameron/Andrew just wants to protect what's left of his family- his daughter. Changing names and moving to a cabin in the woods is a good place to start. Wanting Audrey/Rebecca to be happy, he decides to look at a surrogate to have another child. Heather is looking for a way to get the money to save her bakery and finds an ad for a surrogate program. Of course these two are paired up and the sparks fly and feelings come into play. This causes Cameron to cancel the deal. Does this keep them apart? Nope, it just gives them the green light to start a relationship. Will Cameron tell Heather who he really is when she becomes pregnant? Will she accept the truth? Can Cameron protect his family if danger comes calling? One-click to find the answers for yourself.

I'm usually not thrilled with books that have children in them but this book was fantastic.
Cameron was endearing. His love for his daughter is enough to melt the darkest heart yet the circumstances they were dealing with had me on my toes the whole book.
Desperation can make even the most down to earth person do daring things that are not in their nature. Heather's bakery is failing and out of desperation she turns to something I can't even imagine.
When Cameron and Heather meet, things have an immediate magnetism but this is just an arrangement. Nothing is to come out of it and not just for the emotional factor but there is a lot more in play here. People can get hurt.
When secrets are revealed can Cameron and Heather work past it? Let's not mention what Cameron is running from.
Very intense romance with a healthy amount of suspense added in to keep us on our toes and the author did that with flare.
Loved the story and the characters. There is nothing I didn't like about this book.

OMG This was another amazing read by Rye Hart. I have read many books by Rye Hart and loved all of them. Cameron and his daughter live alone at the top of a mountain. Cameron saw his brother murdered because of his debts. After taking revenge, Cameron is forced to go into hiding from the mob. Heather is struggling to keep her bakery open and she has run out of options. Deciding to give his daughter the sibling she has always wanted, he decides to go through a surrogacy program for the rich. After meeting Heather, he realizes she is the perfect candidate. Lets just say, things do not go as planned! The chemistry between Cameron and Heather was off the charts hot!!! What happens though when his past comes after him? Can Cameron protect the new family he thought he could never again have? This book kept me up reading late into the night to find out how this would end! 5 stars!!!!!!!!! Oh Cameron , you are such a devoted father to daughter Rebecca. Even sorting plans, Home, money etc for her safety. After witnessing his brother being killed by the Mafia you have to hide away and change your names. So sad, an awful way to live. Your daughter Rebecca, aged 4 is such a cutie but she wants a brother or sister to play with and now the fun begins.
They say money is the root of all evil and now Bakery owner Heather needs to take drastic action to save her business. Drastic is an understatement... to become a surrogate is one major decision. Who knew when fate took a hand and introduced Cameron and Heather , they would be intertwined more than they could ever imagine . Lots of chemistry, secrets, harassment from a wannabe boyfriend Charlie, FBI Agent Hudson and best friend Natalie. All thrown into the pot of passion, lust, secrets ,excitement and most of all , the best thing ever LOVE 💖

When looking to hire a surrogate Cameron meets Heather but their feelings get involved.
Cameron's brother was killed by the Mafia and he is in hiding from them with his young daughter.He lives in a large mountain cabin he built along with areas around for a playground and walks through the woods. His daughter is lonely and wants a sibling so he looks into the idea of a surrogate. Heather runs a bakery the is doing well and she is unable to get a loan to help. She sees an advert about becoming a surrogate and the money paid and thinks this could be a way to get some money so she applies. She is paired with Cameron but before the contract is drawn up they both start to become emotionally involved and call it off. Neither can forget the other. A sexy romance to relax and enjoy.

Man Rye Hart can write!! This book was phenomenal and probably one of my favorites of hers. Cameron is a hot and sexy man hiding away with his daughter on the mountain. Heather is a down on her luck baker that may lose everything. They both need a solution to their problems and end up at the same place. Between an instanct connection and lightening hot chemistry, these two have a hard time staying away from each other. But when danger and darkness comes knocking, they may not have a choice. What can I say, Rye has delivered again.
Intrigue, drama, romance and more. Cameron is hiding himself and his daughter away from danger, but she is lonely and while she goes to school she doesn't have many friends. He decided to advertise for a surrogate to give him a sibling for her. Heather sees the ad and decides to give it a shot as it could help her financially. Once the agency sets them up she knows she is in trouble after seeing him and wants to pull out of the deal because she knows that she will become attached to both of them.

His friend in the FBI is keeping tabs on the people after him, his brother was killed and he witnessed it.

Can they have a future together or will he have to move once again.

Rye Hart has just the right way of writing a book about alpha men who are over the top hot and dreamy! Rugged Daddy is no exception. Cameron and Heather have some smokin hot chemistry. I could just feel the burning desire between them. Plus Audrey, Cameron’s daughter is just so darn cute. So when a smokin hot billionaire meets you and want you to be a surrogate and have a child for him…well if he looks like Cameron would you turn him down. Yeah I don’t think so. This book is filled with drama, suspense, sweet moments, hot alpha and some over the top lovin!! You won’t want to put it down once you start reading. I know I couldn’t. There’s an easy one word description for Rye Hart’s Rugged Daddy: A Mountain Man Romance Collection. It’s “wonderful”, though “hot” and “sexy” wouldn’t have been bad choices either. Heather and Cameron are a great leading couple (even if they don’t really get the surrogacy concept ...) and rest of the cast of characters is pretty amazing as well (with special kudos for Cameron’s daughter Audrey). But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises - the book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, it is easy to highly recommend. (There are also several other stories packed in with Rugged Daddy. They’re all fun too.)

Wow! Rye Hart just keeps hammering out these amazing stories. Havent read one book that i can say i didnt like.
Rugged Daddy is brilliant story that will have you captivated from start to finish. The suspense alone will have you sitting on the edge of your seat and lets not forget to mention the uber hot sexy scenes that will have you melting!!!
A man on the run and hiding from the mafia decides to grant his daughters wish to have a sibling. Cameron finds the perfect surrogate in Heather a bakery owner. The chemistry between the two is off the charts! Will their love survive the threat of the constant danger lurking? Will Heather be able to trust Cameron to take care and protect her and her unborn child?

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Cameron and Heather. What would you do when your back is against a wall? Will you come out swinging or will you let the wall crush you? This is a spot that both Cameron and Heather have found themselves at. They both have to figure out is it worth it to go for broke and see if there is a door in that wall or will they let life destroy them? Can they have a HEA?

This is an amazing book. There is so much I want to tell you about it but I worry it will give away other parts of the book. I will say it has it's ups and downs, and will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

Another 5 Star Rye Hart Read

I loved this book from the first chapter. Cameron was a dedicated daddy for his daughter Rebecca after the death of his wife by his devious competitor. When Rebecca is having adjusting at school, Cameron decides to visit the surrogacy center near him to go about arranging a surrogate to carry a sibling for his daughter and he makes the connection with Heather, who wants to use the money he would pay her to carry the child to keep her bakery afloat and expand it. Thus begins a unique trip to intrigue, angst, and even wild, steamy chemistry. Whether these two can move forward after secretes are finally shared is thought for another day. I highly recommend this book for an interesting and lusty read!

Great Story

First: great story but I’m not a big fan of all the sexual content and I knew that would be in the book when I got it. It’s ok, and if you like that sexual content then this book is for you.

Cameron and Heather are great characters and both care about protecting people they love. Cameron is tough and lives in the mountains which I like.

Heather is a great character because she has her own business and that can be tough for anyone. It makes her a strong independent female and I love that.

Of course you have bad guys which makes it better and I did feel like the story was dragged on a little bit but to be honest it’s worth the read.

So if you like hot rugged mountain daddy’s and lots of sex, this book is for you! Take a chance and enjoy a great story.

This book is intense! Cameron is living in the mountains with his four year old daughter. They are in hiding from some bad people. But he knows his daughter is lonely and he wants more children, just not with his ex, so he decides to try surrogacy. Heather is a small town running her own bakery but needing money to expand. When she comes across an add to make money she calls the number and finds out she she can’t make lost of money being a surrogate. But first they have to meet. And thing change drastically when they meet. This book was fantastic! It’s a must read! I obtained an arc and left a honest review.

They talk and decide to meet and when they do they both decide to do it. Trouble is that the more they are around each other the more feelings are getting involved in their plan. Cameron has been struggling with the way his life has had to be the last few years. He and his daughter are basically in the WITSEC and are hiding. He decides he’s ready for a sibling for his daughter but the surrogate has captured his attention as more than he expected her to and he’s fallen fast. Heather has gotten attached as well and isn’t sure about the surrogacy, but when he comes to see her, things heat up and their chemistry explodes. Through the trials thrown at them, the only constant is his need to protect her and their feelings for one another.

Life hasn't been easy for Cameron, which leads to him and his daughter moving and changing their names. He thinks his daughter needs company, so he gets the idea of a surrogate and takes out an ad. Aubrey is a baker in their new town, and she's dealing with a problem from a competitor. She sees the ad, and then the fun begins. Awesome chemistry and great, occasionally funny, dialogue between Heather and Cameron. Excitement and drama, and it's wonderful to see the attraction between the leads grow into love. A very original plot with a lot of heart, and strong characters. Very highly recommend romance. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.

This book has drama, life issues, lust and... you’ll just have to read if for yourself. I don’t ‘Cliff Notes’ any book review. I like the suspense of waiting to see what and how it happens. This story totally captivated me until I finished reading it! I loved it so much I purchased a copy of it , so I could have it on all my reading devices. Looking forward to her next book!

If you like exciting and romantic don’t miss this book!!!!!
There really aren’t the words to describe how interesting and delightful this book is. Mafia. Upstart bakery owner/operator. Him wanting another child, and her needing money. Instant chemistry. Mafia threatening to kill him after killing his brother. There is so much going on in this book that only a writer with Ms. Hart’s skill could make it work so seamlessly. Terrific characters. Amazing story. Super writing.

Great book that was hard to put down. Heather's bakery needed money that she didn't have, to better compete with a bakery down the street. Andrew/Cameron is in hiding with his daughter from the mafia. What srarts out a a possible surrogate story ends differently. am volunteering this review for receiving the ARC. I did not want to put this book down. Can two different people get the HEA they want or will emotions and the Mafia get in the way? Get the book and find out for yourself. The characters are engaging and endearing. The story keeps your attention and you don't want to put it down.

Cameron has lots of secrets hidden away as he and his daughter Aubrey are hiding out in the mountains from the mafia. They killed his brother and are now after him. He meets Heather and decides she's the perfect surrogate as he wants a companion for his daughter. Lots of drama and plenty of twists. Hidden secrets and plenty of suspense. Chemistry begins to come into the picture and the business relationship become cloudy. A great read with good, likable characters and a steamy story.
