And then, in the blink of an eye, he was gone.

After giving up a lucrative career in Seattle, I was content with my life in Gig Harbor, taking care of my father during his battle with cancer. Until I met Garrett and he showed me what my life was missing.

Passion. Desire. Love.

Two weeks was nothing but to us it was everything. We scrambled to make the most of our short time together but bitter jealousy, painful truths and devastating grief forced Garrett and I to prove to one another that love can grow almost instantly.

I was first indoctrinated into the romance genre by my babysitter who watched hours upon hours of daytime soap operas. I harbored many inappropriate crushes on fictional characters such as John Black from “Days of Our Lives,” Orry Main from the min-series “North & South,” and Edward Fairfax Rochester from Jane Eyre. I am still in love with Davy Jones from The Monkees.

I currently live in the Southwest with my husband, tiny four-year-old terror, and a tuxedo cat with a limp. When I'm not swooning over book boyfriends or dreaming up romances, I can be found educating the youth of America. Or eating tacos

Cami is a beautiful soul, inside & out, and will do anything for anyone. She can't wait for her best friend Palmer to come back home from serving overseas, but everyone expects them to get married, but she only feels friendship with him. When he returns home, she's hit with a strong connection to one of his best friend's Garrett, which obviously causes a bit of drama, as Palmer wants her for himself. But Garrett is hit with this same connection, and he does everything he can to stay away, but when he learns that Cami only feels friendship for Palmer, he can't stay away from her anymore. However, they only have limited time before he finishes his final tour. Just Like This was an emotional journey that hit me big time in the feels, as I fell in love with Cami & Garrett from the very beginning. It's not to say they were perfect, but they were flawed & realistic, so I could relate to them instantly, so, of course I was cheering them on. And even the secondaries, were realistic, so when I wanted to maybe punch Palmer, I still ended up forgiving him for his humanness in the end. I LOVE Rebecca Gallo's talented writing style, and am completely addicted to her stories, however, that ending, yeah, must touch upon that. See, she left me hanging big time, in a big pile of emotions, so that means that she's moved up on the list of authors trying to KILL ME DEAD! And while I've previously hash tagged her #EVILWHORE in the past, now she's also earned herself a newer hash tag, #EVILWHOREQUEEN, as she's just done it to me one too many times! Gonna need that next book ASAP Ms. Gallo! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This book had me from the start. I stayed up way past my bed time to sneak in a few more chapters, I just could not put it down! Rebecca Gallo writes warm lovingly flawed characters who let you into their hearts and minds. The story flows effortlessly and is a pleasure to read.
Home on a break between deployments hunky Garrett discovers the sweet Cami. They meet through their best friend Palmer who has been in love with Cami practically his whole life. This unrequited love spells DRAMA for the new loved up couple. Add to this heartbreaking family tragedy and a deployment.
I was not ready for the cliffhanger even though I could feel the impending gloom and knew it was coming!
I can’t wait for the story to continue aaaarrgh Rebecca Gallo!
I received an ARC of this book.

This was such a captivating story. I fell in deep with this story and felt every emotion that poor Cami felt. I loved how strong even when she didn't seem strong, she just kept going. Cami takes a beating in this book. She never believed in love at first sight, since everyone had her married off to her best friend. The minute she sees Garrett, sparks fly. He's only home for 30 days and boy do those days fly by. They have such a strong connection that they spend every waking moment together. I must sayI loved Garrett. He knew what his place was but took a different route. He's grown up and made some decisions dealing with the winery. He wasn't expecting to fall so hard for Cami but it happened. Cami is dealing with a delicate situation..her father is dying and to make matters worse someone they haven't saw in 8 years comes back into their lives. Oh and Garrett is leaving for deployment.. It's an emotional time right now. The author did an amazing job of writing this book. The way she writes just brings a way for you to feel right along with the characters. This book will make you swoon, root for love, cry hard and be so pissed off that you can't believe that happened and now you desperately need book 2!

I thought this book was well written and great characters. Cami is a strong, independent woman who puts others before herself. She's the kind of friend you would want on your side. She was always expected to marry her best friend. Garrett is the hot soldier that catches Cami's eye as soon as he walked in the door. He was expected to help run the family business but went into the military instead. Neither thought love at first sight was possible but they are now believers. I really need more Garrett and Cami and cannot wait to read the next book. I would absolutely recommend this book💜💜

This is a new author to me, and my work, I will certainly be adding her to my favourites and 1-click lists for the future. Garrett and Cami’s story is an emotional, gritty, and an engaging page turner. This author has done an amazing job in penning this fast paced story, and I was totally captivated throughout. I did not want this story to end, especially with the dreaded cliffy, but I will be waiting impatiently for the second book in this awesome series!

4.5 holy amazing cliffy stars!
This new duet by this fresh author had my interest from the very beginning. This fast paced read grips you and makes you think of all the different scenarios that could be forming. Yes there is a cliff hanger but it’s so good you don’t mind. Book two can’t release fast enough!

Omg. This book! I had to take a moment to collect myself to write this review. What an emotional read. And I am so in love with it! This is the story of Cami and Garrett. They meet at Cami's best friend Palmer's coming home party. Garrett was in the Army with him and they consider each other brothers. Palmer is done with duty. Garrett has one more year. But he is on leave for a little bit of time and in that time Cami and him fall in love. They have their obstacles. At first Palmer is upset because he has been in love with Cami since they were kids. But Cami only has friendship feelings for him. At the same time Cami is taking care of her father who is sick with Cancer and only has a short time left. This story takes the reader on their journey of falling love quickly and dealing with the separation when he has to report back for duty.
At first I wasn't too into them falling in love so quick. But my mind changed quickly. Every love story is different and this one is theirs. And I totally felt the immediate attraction they had for each other and as they fell deeper in love I did too with their story. And what an emotional one. Cami's father gets sicker and sicker. I found myself crying with her as she dealt with everything. I lost my own father to Cancer 5 years ago so I understood all the emotions she went through taking care of him and really trying to be strong. Then when Garrett is away and can't really communicate a lot with her. That has to be so tough. I always say military families are so strong. I felt her fears the whole time. My reactions to this story just show what an amazing writer Rebecca Gallo is. She really puts the reader in the story and holds us there. And I am still there!
Yes there is a cliff hanger. But I knew that going in and I don't regret getting involved in this story at all. It was a beautiful journey and it's hopefully not over. There are so many questions I have for the future of these characters. September 2018 needs to hurry up! Read this book now! Experience it. You will laugh. You will swoon. You will have conflicting opinions. You will cry. But you will love every minute of it.

Rebecca sucks you right in from the very first page and damn girl the follow up be ready because my heart can't handle the waiting !!!

This story is on my my top 10 favourite of all time ! Loved Cami and Garret and everyone in their lives ❣

So Palmer and Cami have grown up together and have always been close so when he comes home from the war for good , more than a few folk are holding their breath in hopes of them taking it further ......

Palmer doesn't come home alone and some of his brothers in arms come with and now there's war of another kind on the brew.....

"Just like this " was very real for me ....I laughed , I cried , I screamed and yes I moped around for days 🙈 on more than one ocassion I was a blubbering emotional mess and I didn't think I'd come out of it !
It was a journey of love , loss and friendship .....it's one of those reads that stay with you long after the last page ❣📚

I must warn you though , the ending I'd a major cliffhanger, well it was for me , I was an emotional wreck and yes my kleenex supply was under severe threat!

Thank you Rebecca Gallo for Cami , Garret , Palmer , Jackson and everyone else ....I love them all !!!!

What a sweet start to a serious love at first sight story. I was completely mesmerized by Rebecca Gallo’s writing. The storyline was fantastic! I inhaled this story within a few hours! We’ve got a bit of a lovers triangle here but what makes it seriously worse is that it’s between friends. Are some relationships worth losing other relationships? It’s a good question and such a hard one for friends, real friends to make. Rebecca told an amazing story that really made me think. All these characters were great and so likable. You can’t fight what your heart wants even if you’re mind is trying too! Tickled to death with the writing but dying for the second book!!

*Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review*

*This book is a cliffhanger*
New author to me. This book was such an emotional ride. Couldn't put this book down. I don't know how am going to wait until the next book to come out. Cami moved back home from Seattle to help her sick father. Cami is a selfless person. She thinks about other people before herself. Garrett is a soldier returning home from deployment he instantly falls for Cami from one glance. He expected to run his family vineyard but instead joined the army against his family's wishes.

4.5 stars definitely a good read

4.5 stars most definitely. I didn't mind the cliffhanger because the second book was already in my queue. I do like the characters. Their backstory was complex and slowly started revealing itself. A adult read without a blow by blow sex scenes. A romance book not quasi-porn....it has a plot that was interesting and entertaining. Looking forward to reading the conclusion.
Great read.

Beautifully sad book about love at first sight

I absolutely loved this book. It was beautifully written and the storyline was amazing. Sooo many emotions! I love Cami and Garrett!! The other characters are so endearing too, especially Jackson. The last part of this book just had me in knots though. And what a cliffhanger! Can’t wait to read the next book in the series!

What a great military romance. Really keeps you on your toes with all the ups and downs in the love story of Garret and Cami Their story is very beautiful and heartbreaking. They both have been through so much in their lives but they lean on each other to help them get through it. What a really beautiful story

part 1

This is the first half of Cami and Garrett. They meet and fall in love. Garrett goes off to war, he has 9months left, but disappears. This book only got 3 stars, it would have received 4 but it was continued.

The story was ok. It would have been better if not so drawn out. I hate cliffhangers, especially when a story could have finished in one book.
