Useful if you're writing fanfiction. The interview with Mr. Isayama is intriguing and you get to see his thought process while he works.

There are only like 10 pages of new information in this book (plus all the character birthdays and weights which you can probably just look up).

I've stopped buying mangas or any manga-related book since I always finish them in one sitting, and I never read them again.

But here we are, getting deep into the Attack on Titan rabbit hole. This character encyclopedia is really nice, especially the part where the author is interviewed about Levi and Erwin's last moments. It kinda put me in a meditative state, too.

If Harry Potter was my companion during childhood, I feel like Shingeki no Kyojin has taken the reins and is now galloping with me into the woods of adulthood. Every character is relatable. It's like each one of them represents a part of you.

While I found the background information from this book interesting, I hope one day we get an updated version purely because this was from interviews with Isayama from 2017 and some things that happened in the series after this was published is not there. So I hope we get an updated version for that reason alone. But I did like the interviews with Isayama and also the background info behind each of the nine titan shifters.

There is so much thought, and care put into everything about Attack On Titan as a whole it's insane. This book will just make you have a deeper appreciation and respect for the series and the writer, and will also give you more details you previously skipped over. I often find new stuff I never noticed and stuff to appreciate, even 2 years after I started getting into this incredible series.

No actual contribution to the plot. This appears to be one of those books designed to milk fans of a few more dollars. One small saving grace was that some of the Q & A from the author were interesting.

It does its job as an encyclopedia of literally every single character to ever exist (yes, even unnamed characters and ones without lines) very well! The interview with Hajime Isayama was very intriguing. Do be warned, though, for there are many spoilers ahead if you haven't gotten very far in the series.

HELLO EVERYONE. I. AM. BACK.

From what I remember of this book, it was a really good steal from the Half Off Books used bookstore in DownTown Fullerton. As for the content itself? I don't really know what to say.

Like any A.O.T. material, it gets an automatic 4+ star rating. But the worth of it if I were to actually pay the full price of this book? For information that was PRETTY darn obvious in the series itself (that I had already read [AND GETTING THEM SOON TO FINALLY BE OWNNNEEDDDD- YAYYYYYY] and wouldn't have needed to read this at all)? I wouldn't put it on the bucket list any time soon.

I loved the interviews with Isayama, and hearing about all of the back stories about the characters in the books and how they were made, but those would be the only few highlights of this book that were actually WORTH reading.

Now that I think of it, there were some characters that were also brought up in the encyclopedia that the author himself said didn't make it to the mangaka! Really glad that I at least got to be exposed to them here. 😂 MADE IT %100.

I miss the characters, though. 🥲

If I think up of anything else from this book, then I will put it here in my digital diary about ✨paper and ink✨, but until then my friends: THAT'S IT FOR THIS PIECE OF JUNK. 🤩

As of writing this review I am currently on volume 23 of Attack on Titan, and a large amount of characters have been featured in the series. It would be completely understandable if readers start having a hard time remembering characters, especially more minor ones, and some of the event that have happened in past volumes - I know I have. This Character Encyclopaedia has the most comprehensive guide to EVERY character in the series, even those without names or are present for the briefest of moments. It’s incredibly thorough and has the additions of interviews with the managaka and some important timelines and lore. It’s such a useful guide! I will warn that it does contain major spoilers so if you haven’t read up to volume 23 (or got to the equivalent point in the anime), maybe wait till you’ve got to that point before looking into this book.

An amazing guide to the world of Attack on Titan, with character profiles, interviews, loads of pictures and more!

AOT is the most amazing work of art that has ever been created. It is definitely Isayama's magnum opus.

I would have given this Encyclopedia a 5 stars, but was a bit disappointed with the character profiles, they just reveal prominent scenes in the characters lives. I would have liked more details, such as their strengths and weaknesses.

If you are a fan of the show or manga, be sure to get this - it is a must have for every AOT fan!
