Ohhh, it's dangerous now!
This 3rd book has the most pulse pounding drama yet!
Lance doesn't do anything the small way, so when he decides to move permanently to Greenlea and pursue Kari for real, he is all in. Kari believes that she isn't like her brothers, and keeping their secret will make it impossible to have and keep a relationship with Lance.
What she doesn’t know is that Lance won't be taking no for an answer, and he's more like her brothers than she imagined.
The chemistry between these two is steamy and entertaining, and the creepy mystery of who is trying to hurt them and why is seriously addictive!
I cannot wait for more of this storyline, and to get some actual answers! Such a great series to binge, and that's the way I recommend reading these.

Book 3
Loved this one....
I was annoyed at Lance in the beginning, but obviously its what the author wants you to feel. Curious about what Lance wants from Kari? is he a womanizer? Does he want to use her for her family secrets? Just to have her and then leave?
But it was all so good. The chemistry. He wanted her so bad. She wanted him. She was so scared and he wasn't going to take no for an answer. Whatever it took he was going to prove it to her. And OMG a few very VERY suspenseful moments!
Then a few twists that I LOVED and a mama bear ending that had me pumped up! I still have no clue what's happening with this ongoing secret story line......but I'm here for it.

“Pet” has got to be the worst, most degrading pet name in the history of the universe. Every time I read it, it was like hitting a speed bump. Just YUCK!!!

Fantastic book and series
I loved this book! It's the third installment in the BIG-Secrets of Mountain Men series, and it features Lance and Kari, two characters who have a lot of chemistry and secrets. Lance is a single dad who runs a tour company in the small town of Greenlea, where he and his family guard a mysterious secret that goes back generations. Kari is a bartender who listens to everyone's problems, but keeps her own hidden. When Lance comes back to town, he wants to find out more about Kari and her past, but she is not ready to open up. Will they be able to trust each other and overcome their fears? This book is sweet and spicy, with a lot of romance and suspense. I loved the way the author portrayed the characters and their emotions, as well as the setting and the mystery. The book also has some great secondary characters, like Lance's son and Kari's friends, who add humor and warmth to the story. I also enjoyed the glimpses into the other couples from the previous books, and I can't wait to read the next one. If you like big, growly mountain men and strong, independent women, you will love this book!

In Mountain Calling, manipulative, successful, wealthy Lance Stafford wanted to prove the moneymaking big foot scheme was a hoax. During downtime and too many too strong drinks, Lance showed his underbelly to bar owner Kari Wolffensen; Kari thought they’d made a connection but Lance wordlessly left the next day. He’s back with infant Vanessa.

Complex and convoluted, but a heck of of a love story between two people who do not know how to communicate.
Her brothers are the Bigfoot that roam the mountain, but it only runs in the males of the species, so she had a secret that is not hers to share. Then Lance comes into her life, with his darling daughter, and the evil that has been haunting the mountain sets its scopes on them, and when they are taken her brothers learn that the female of the species is way scarier than the males. Lance is a distant breed of Bigfoot, but even his beast is silenced at her ferocity where the baby is concerned. And the two witches flee, again, leaving them all worried and on edge, how are they gonna stop these crazies? They've found traces that go back years, traces of black sacrifices, and other dark workings. Is it going to be time to let all their monsters out soon?

I just love this series. Lance and Kari’s is a fantastic read, two people brought together by happenstance.
Lance has a secret that he knows Kari can help solve.
Kari is holding many secrets, yet none of her own to tell, that weight bears heavy.
The coming together of these two is explosive.
Kari’s been hurt and Lance just doesn’t see why. But when he does he will do everything in his power to put it right.
Kari is stronger than she knows, so much stronger!! she’s about to be put to the test in more ways than one.
Janice does it again, another “keep you up to the early hours, because I must finish” read.

I just love this series and this is Lance and Kari’s story.

Fabulous!!!
Lance and Kari are great stubborn characters and it was great reading the tug of war. Lol
The suspenseful part at the end my heart nearly stopped!!!! Vanessa and Dad turn up missing I was holding my breath and reading so fast!! Plus to read on and find out what these bastards intent, I was livid!!! Mama Bear to the rescue but was it a bear? I have to read on to find out.

Series only gets better
This is the first series by this author I have read, and it won't be the last. Loved the character growth, especially Kari's. Never mess with a mother's child, they will go momma bear on you! Love the family dynamic, and continuing mystery. Can't wait to continue the series.

It's my favorite too
I have to agree with the author, this one is my favorite, too, and it is all about the mama bear! Kari is awesome! She is all about family and now she has Vanessa and she will be a great mom. Lance is awesome in his way, too, but Kari needed to see how special she is. Can't wait to read the next story!

Arrogant Hero, Strong heroine
You love to hate Lance, but then really love him. Kari is his perfect match. Janice wove yet another love story with such intrigue that I couldn't put it down.

I love this couple so much. They're just so perfect together. Kari always has me cheering her on. Lance just completes her perfectly. Can't wait to unravel the rest of the mystery and see the next couple in action.

Kari is hurt... why would he leave without even saying goodbye? She thought they shared something special... he opened up to her and then he was gone... She wants to have what her brother Hagen has but she knows that will never happen. The families secrets will make sure of that!
Lance is back and he wants answers but not just for him but for his daughter too. There is something different about Kari. She is not like all the other woman. She is so much more but she has secrets and he knows what they are. He has secretes of his own but he can’t push her to reveal hers yet... but he will ... for Vanessa.
There is so much story to read. It was intense and kept me on the edge of my seat. The dangers around them reveal the biggest surprise of all. Just when she thought she was nothing... nothing like her brothers... she is what will be feared the most!
Well written with an epic character build up. Its filled with laugher, passion, love, fear and so much more.
Cannot wait to read the next book in this series.

This has to be my favorite book out of this series. Lance is a single dad who wants the absolute best for his daughter so he goes back to the woman he fell for and the town that holds a secret he needs to find out about. Kari is the sister of Hagen and Jerrick and they are Bigfoot shifters but Kari is the only one who doesn't have that ability but she isn't allowed to share their secret not because they say so but she physically can't. Lance comes back into her life and at the right time because something evil is happening right next door to Kari's house. Kari is still upset that the last time Lance was in town he up and left without a single word, so she has some bitterness towards him. These two have some seriously hot chemistry and Lance has a secret but is afraid to share it until he knows more about Kari's family. I loved the push and pull, the banter, and the steamy moments between these two and the big secret that Lance is hiding was a pleasant one that made me happy.

Exciting book
This is a very good read. Lance is such an alpha guy while Kari is a strong woman who ditches it back to him. I loved their interaction throughout the book. There’s lots of sweet moments between them. It’s great reading about the other people in their lives also. Each one are so nice and have fun personalities. The ongoing mystery is also interesting. I look forward to finding out more in the next book.

Absolutely loved this story. Lance and Kari are beautiful magically together. The mystery surrounding this story is scary, intriguing and will leave you wanting to know what is happening. Author has created a great set of characters and storyline

Seek and be sought
This is a multifaceted story that has multiple stories running at the same time all hovering over a paranormal background. It plays out the good vs evil dynamic. Leave it to a mama bear to be the baddest , scariest person in the crowd. My favorite book of the series so far.

DRAWN OUT
This series is very lovely. Everyone's story starts out slow and each couple needs to be slapped at some point but the love you see they have for each other is beautiful. I also love how it is a never ending story. I'm looking forward to see if Cora and Magni son get together.

I'm in love with this series
It is the best of the author that I read so far. Lance and Kari's story is catching you from the start. One would suppose that they are alpha men who claim their women. But they are actually alpha women who bring their beasts to their knees! I love it!

Don't poke the Mama Bear
Excellent addition to the series , this story gives the reader a romance laced with unknown dangers and the reality of struggling with the balance of power in self and each other. Well done!
