This being book 5, and Rhys never, ever wanting to go back to hell, much less through all 9 rings has chosen to go to save humanity...again !! Little does he know that his own savior, his light to his darkness, his sweetness to his bitter, everything that will make him whole again ; Illianna awaits there for him. She has been there for a 100 years paying penance, losing her wings and being forced to blacken her soul, by the head Demons himself, and for that she hates all demons, including Rhys. As they make their way through all of the hell differing demons throw at them, they come to rely on each other in ways neither thought possible, add to that feelings of warmth, longing and lover, seem to be creeping upon them both, and in order to make it out alive, they will have to surrender not only to each other, but to the higher power that rules us all. 5☆'s of heat, love, passion, action, and world building at its best !! Better to read books 1-4 first as you get a better picture of where things stand am9ngst all the characters and scenery. This can be read as a stand alone, but you won't get the complete 360° feelings you would if you read it in order.

Series gets better with each book and this book is no exception. It certainly shows how far Mates go to protect the other, sacrificing what’s most important to them so that the other might live. If you are following this series, each book should be ready in succession because it builds on the one before. Rhys and Illiana are a study in opposites, but that makes them all the more intriguing. The story is a steady mix of action and passion with a brilliant climax and satisfying resolution. Should definitely by read by any lover of PNR. Highly recommended.

This is Rhys and Illianna's story. The Triskele Amulet has been taken by the demon Kadir and is on its way to the Ninth Circle of Hell to be used to free Lucifer. The only ones that can travel to Hell and try to retrieve the amulet are those with demon blood. Rhys, Dante, and Kellen (A Tennessee DW) haven't made in any further than the second level, lust, when Rhys sees Illianna working as a slave at one of the sex clubs. She is naked and it is obvious she is an angel, even though her wings have been cut off. Since he was recently accosted by three angels accusing him of having their sister, Rhys knows that he has to get her out of there with them.
So starts the story of the the trip through the circles of hell. It is soon obvious that Illianna is Rhys' Fated Mate, at least it is to him (with the mate mark and all). As the four make their way through Hell they must not only meet the challenges thrown at them by each leves, but Rhys must convince Illianna that he is her mate. An angel and a demon. Easy, right? Lol.
So starts the story of the the trip through the circles of hell. It is soon obvious that Illianna is Rhys' Fated Mate, at least it is to him (with the mate mark and all). As the four make their way through Hell they must not only meet the challenges thrown at them by each leves, but Rhys must convince Illianna that he is her mate. An angel and a demon. Easy, right? Angel mate for the sex demon
Rhys is a cambion which is a hybrid human sex demon as well as a Dark Warrior battling demons from Hell and skirm also protecting humans and Innocents. Illiana is an Angel kidnapped and taken to Hell. They meet when Rhys has to go to hell to retrieve an amulet stolen by a demon that can free Lucifer. Rhys doesn't understand why when he first sees Illiana he gets the feeling that he has to rescue her but when she gives him sustenance in the form of sex he understands as he receives a Mate mark which makes her his Fated Mate. Readers will love how the authors have woven this tale which I thoroughly enjoyed and recommend.

I have been provided with a copy of Hellbound Warrior by the author for an impartial review. This is the eighth book in the Dark Warrior Alliance series and we finally get to see Rhys O’Morda find his fated mate in the most unlikely of places. Rhys is on a journey to recover the Triskele Amulet in the nine circles of the Underworld and who does he happen to meet but his fated mate Illianna. I just loved getting to see their journey through each circle and learn to care for one another. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Rhys decends to hell to save the amulet. While there he rescues Ilianna, who is his mate. Rhys is able to get the amulet from Lucifer, but sacrifices his life for Illiana. She in turn gives up being an angel to save him . Back in Zeum they have their mating ceremony. Illianna's family and Rhy s mother attend and give their blessing and Illianas angel status is restored.

Yet another great book to add to the series
I really liked this book we learn more about hell and Lucifer as we traveled through the nine circles of hell to stop the amulet being used to release lucifer. I think this book is one of my faves in the series so far both main characters where lovely and had a great relationship though out.
We had lots going on right up until the very end.
I can't wait find out more on book 9.

Totally enjoyable and action packed with lots of heat
Its deserving of this high rating because not only is it beautifully written but draws a reader into the story as if you were actually there experiencing what the characters are experiencing. There is nothing to dislike about any part of the book except it ended too soon.I would totally recommend this book to my reading group on social media..

Half demon/half angel gets an angel for a mate?
I love this story. Not for all the torture that both Rhys & Illianna have to endure, but because of the character flaws they have. I mean who would think an angel would have body image issues? And she doubted and denied that Rhys was her fated mate for quite awhile. Love Zander & Elise's news! I picked up on it with the first hint. I'm pissed at Santiago and hope he goes through some major changes to get back on the right path.

Freaking Rhys. Rhys never wanted too go back to hell but he must stop Kadir. Going back to hell Rhys never thought he would meet the beautiful Illianna. Rhys felt that he had to save the angel and Rhys would do whatever it takes. Absolutely a beautiful love story between Rhys & Illianna. Can’t wait to read more in this series. Each book gets better and better.

I love the mate they goddess gave Rhy's
I've enjoyed every book in the series so far. Though the only problem with this one is there didn't really seem to be a test in each level of hell like they were told they would face.

One of the best
Books I read. Loved it. Can’t wait to see there offspring.
Hope author is planning to revisit series maybe 25 years later with grown children of the different worlds.
With exception of Santiago episodes and would have ended it at mating, it was perfect story.

I read this as the final book in the Dark Warriors series books 5-8 compilation.
This was one h3ll of story, dealing with a journey to that particular realm on a recovery mission.
Dramatic and full of unexpected twists and turns, this was an exciting adventure.

This is one of the best stories yet! To find out Rhys' history was fascinating. Illianna is such a great mate for him. The nine levels of Hell were interesting... Definitely recommend!

I really enjoyed the boys trip to Hell and I think Illianna is my favourite mate yet! I love her and can just picture those beautiful wings!
This series is great if you like Dark Hunters crossed with the Black Dagger brothers.
We are on book 8 and can’t wait to see what book 9 brings.

Warrior lover
I really enjoyed this one. Sex demon walks into a a bar and sees an angel. Fighting their way through Hell and getting some loving in on the side were just two of their adventures. Editing needs work. Would recommend.

Goes back to he'll to find the amulet and bind demon in place. But finds his mate in a missing Angel who was kidnapped. I am glad we saw more of his backstory and his happy ending.

Wow. Rhys definitely deserved some happiness and no am so glad he was able to help the angel. Boy there was so much going on in this story. It was awesome.
