Bree Dahlia is an unconventional romance junkie. Her stories range from lighthearted to sizzling with that satisfying happily-ever-after ending and a touch of the unexpected. She favors themes of friendship, forgiveness, and unconditional love with alpha characters and eccentric tastes.
A virgin and a sex therapist- Julia and Ian- make for an unlikely romantic duo but romance and discovery go hand and hand with this book. This book is much about Julia’s sexual awakening with heavy elements of BDSM with the emphasis on bondage and submission. Ian is a therapist and Julia is the product of over strict parents, but when Julia meets Ian even with the age difference it's insta-love. Ian takes Julia thru a complete journey of self-discovery and passion, all which plays out through a little over a year in the lives of Julia and Ian. What is great to read is how they are in the beginning and then by the end of the book , the reader is able to see the complete transformation of the main characters. The characters in this book are intense, sweet, sexy and compelling. If you like kink with your romance, then you definitely don’t want to miss out on this fantastic romance read.
My Rating: 4.6 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
Great great book! I truly enjoyed reading Julia's journey of her sexual transformation. Her husband is one patient man along with being a great partner and teacher. This book is incredibly well written and the story and characters well developed. Impressive! The sensual and sexual scenes were beyond incredible. This book had my attention from the first to the last page. I will be reading more from this author.
A Review of Transformation: The Complete Julia Series by Bree Dahlia
Julia and Ian - 5 Stars
I had read the first half of the books in this series and absolutely LOVED the characters and the storyline. It was totally different from what I was expecting back then (it's been several years now) and I was happy to have the FULL story in one place so that I could catch up with the rest of the series. Totally titillating and exciting to read.

Overall this was an enjoyable series...very eye opening in the least since I am not familiar with the BDSM style. I really loved the whole learning your about your sexuality but did not enjoy the whole love triangle thing. I'm just not into that so much so that kind of put me off. I would recommend as a good intro into the BDSM world it lays it out in a very calculated way and delves into it in a way that makes you comfortable in exploring the possibilities. It was a really good series overall, I would recommend this series:)

Teaching Miss Julia is the first book in the bundle and that story alone is a five star read for me. Julia comes from a very strict household where sex is limited to marriage and not something to be discussed or enjoyed. As the story opens she is at the home of Mr. Blackwell who is about to begin her education in pleasing a man in the bedroom. Mr. Blackwell is a sex therapist and an EXCELLENT teacher as Julia comes to find out. This story is very erotic and really kind of sweet. Julia is sweet and innocent and I adore Mr. Blackwell.
The rest of the books in this volume continue Julia's sexual awakening as a married woman. Coming to terms with and accepting her submissive needs is a journey for both Julia and Ian, who must be the most supportive and understanding husband ever created in fiction. They have their rough patches and I wasn't sure they could actually work it all out but I was happy with the ending.
I had a hard time putting this book down. I loved Julia and Ian and in the end I even came to appreciate Jonathan. The sex is erotic and frequent but it is after all a huge part of the story and it is extremely well-written (not just the sex but entire book - the writing is great.) This is the first book I've read by this author and I can't wait to read more.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advance reader copy of this book.
I received an ARC for this book from Hidden Gems. I was torn, almost from the start, on how to review this book. As erotica, it was very good. The scenes were well thought out and very hot. But then I get to the characters and I start to have problems. Despite any background written about the characters, they never quite came alive for me. Julia especially stumped me. I should have felt some emotional attachment to her while reading, but didn't. And the male characters of Ian and Jonathan were the same.
Originally, I had clicked four stars on this book, but then I really thought about it. While the erotica was definitely worth four stars, the book itself, with the lack of character development and a murky plot in some places, would only deserve 3. I found no real editing or proofing problems with the book, the only problem I had was the lack of hard identities to the characters. Identities I rely on when reading a book - the characters make a good plot come alive. In this case, they didn't.
Full complete series of Julia and Ian. Julia grew up in a very religious home and has no experience or knowledge of sex. Ian is a sex therapist who had no desire to ever marry. The transformation is a great title because this book will take you through a little over a year in the lives of Julia and Ian and how far they are both transformed once meeting. I loved how both of them grew and let go of self-doubts in the end. Ian's two friends and Julia's parents are secondary characters that complete the whole story. The only thing I didn't care for is how much Julia is in her own head (always doubting, always questioning). I found her inner dialogue a bit too much. I loved the ending and the epilogue!!!! Highly recommend. ARC review.
I was given this ARC as an honest read for an honest review. This is Ian and Julia's story. Ian is a therapist and Julia is the product of over strict parents, but when Julia meets Ian even with the age difference it's love at first sight. Ian takes Julia on an erotic journey that stimulates at fully engages the reader. These characters are intense, sweet, sexy and steamy. I loved reading th I book. If you like erotica and a little kink you will love this book.
"Transformation" is Julia and Ian’s complete story and is a great one sitting read that is packed with lots of heat and passion .I really enjoyed the author's BDSM style of writing and was immediately caught up in Ian & Julia's story . Liked the build up and the realism of both their characters though they both frustrated me sometimes . It's my first book by Bree Dahlia and I 'm very excited for her next one .
Awesome. Enjoyed this story if innocent Julia's awakening to eroticism by the hands of her husband. It was beautifully told and not only that, it was a whole journey brought together in one book! You get to know all the other characters which contribute to her growth...some I hated with a passion others I could give a chance. Can highly recommend this well written book
This is the first book I've read by this author and I thought it was really good. It was an emotional read about discovering oneself. Julia and Ian were likeable and relatable characters. They had good chemistry and provided some steamy scenes. I'll be looking to read more by this author. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
Voluntary review of an ARC. Great erotic romance with lots of sex. The characters are well developed with much background information. The story is out of this world. The entire series is long but worth it. I really loved it and would highly recommend it to fans of erotica.
I love this book. Julia-Ian-Jon will always be memorable to me. Firstly the sexual awakening of Julia is very erotic and the tabooed relationship between Julia-Jon is so good and their chemistry and lust for each other is off the charts.
Out of these three I love Ian the most. He was so selfless and loved Julia so much that he let her be with another man. As the story progressed It was tough reading about their relationship dynamics when everything gets twisted and tainted. I did end up feeling a little sad for Jon.
One thing I could never really understand or relate to is how Julia left Ian for Jon even if it was temporary. She was so much attracted to him than her husband. And she even decides to choose Jon so she could give up her control and submit completely just for the sake of lust. She never really understood Ian’s love or the depths he can go . She was the undeserving one.
She kept comparing Jon and Ian about how caring Ian always have been with her and yet she craved Jon more.
I don’t have a problem with being a submissive but she could have had it with Ian rather than Jon. She is equally to be blamed. And I really hated Jon for manipulating her.
The real hero in this story is Jacqueline. She is the one who helps these three in figuring out their sh*t. And I hated how Julia was a b*tch about her sexuality and her preferences. Her preferences weren’t much different from Jacque.
TBH I felt Julia-Jon’s sexual chemistry more than Julia-Ian’s! But Ian deserves a happy ending and he gets it. So I’m happy over all♥️
