The body of a young college student is discovered and reignites an investigation into a series of bizarre unsolved murders.
In the career of every detective, there is that one case that haunts them. For some investigators, it's an unsolved murder. For others, it's the victims, and their suffering. For Vince Wills, it's a combination of the two, but at least the killings had stopped, or so he'd thought. Now, he knows he was wrong.
Everything is on the line as he attempts to solve his biggest case of NEW ORLEANS HOMICIDE.
Hello! Thank you for stopping by. The short story is I was born in Toronto, Canada. When I was 16, my family moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and that is where I met my wife, Bev. We've been married for 43 years and share our home in Southwest Missouri with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 8 chickens, a herd of goats. We have 3 sons and 12 grandchildren that keep us hopping. I've been known to ride my motorcycle in nice weather, play golf in nice weather, and tend my garden in nice weather. In bad weather, I prefer to stay inside. :) Thanks to the support of you, our readers, I've been able to devote full time to my writing. Bev does our cover designs. We hope you our books are enjoyable and you'll let us know. Please feel free to contact us at: jdalglish7@gmail.com or on Facebook God Bless, John & Bev
This is another great story in the City Murders series. The fear that a serial killer has returned again brings Detective Vince Hill out of retirement to try and catch his old nemesis. Will he and his partner mange to stop the killing of young college students or will the killer succeed and disappear for another year again. An unfathomable motive, limited time frame and few clues, make this case a hard one to solve. It is interesting to see how one small break can unravel a case. The narrator did an excellent job, he made you feel the fear, frustration, guilt and sorrow along with the characters. Throughout the story the author really gave you the feel of the slow recovery from Katrina that New Orleans is going through, and shows how a mind twisted by psychological trauma can cause devastation to so many lives. I will look forward to reading more in this series
New Orleans Homicide (The City Murders Book 7) by John C. Dalglish 🎭⚜️🔍🎧
New Orleans Homicide (The City Murders Book 7) by John C. Dalglish 🎭⚜️🔍🎧~~ I enjoyed reading New Orleans Homicide on Kindle while listening to the Audible narration. Detective Vince Wills is called to investigate the murder of a college student, but the case becomes much more personal when he discovers a possible connection to an older investigation that he was never able to solve. 🔎 The past and present begin coming together, forcing Vince to confront a case that has continued to haunt him. I liked the New Orleans atmosphere and the way the city added its own personality to the story without overpowering the investigation. Vince’s personal connection increased the emotional stakes and made his determination understandable. The mystery included several possible directions and kept me questioning how the cases were connected. The Audible narration added suspense and made the setting feel more vivid, while reading on Kindle helped me follow every clue. 🎧📖 This was an engaging clean mystery with an emotional and satisfying investigation.
Even though this book is the seventh in the series, I found it just as good as the first six. It is not like he is running out of material to write about. I found this book especially enjoyable because I am from Louisiana. and a lot of the places he writes about actually wrote about in this book exist. even the addresses are 100% correct. I was working in Louisiana when Katrina hit the area. the people of the lower Ninth ward that he wrote about are still to this day trying to recover. I can wait for the next book to come out. Keep up the good work.
In New Orleans, the body of a college student is discovered. An investigation into a series of unsolved murders is opened. Vince Wills is tasked to solve the biggest case of his life.
Dalglish makes the scenes feel like real incidents. The characters are unique and interesting. The plot keeps the pages turning. It's good reading with an exciting and satisfying ending.
The Homicide series is good because you don't have to read them in any order. Each one is based in a different city without connection to the last. The author makes you visualise the city, each with a different demographic. Looking forward to reading Seattle next.
Suspenseful police murder mystery. Great characters, plot and suspense. I can't wait for the next book to come out! Check out the others if you haven't read them.
John Dalglish has done it again with New Orleans Homicide!! I truly hope he has another city in the works, or I'll have to re-read all of these over again..they are THAT GOOD!!!
