Sometimes having it all can be a curse instead of a blessing. For Ami, lead singer of the top rock band Haunted, this is all too true. She’s tired, crushed by the pressures of performing non-stop, and fed up of living in the ugly eye of the media. Her creativity has vanished, her alcohol consumption has gone up…in fact her life is about to shatter around her. At the end of her rope, she finds a pair of helping hands, a man who is so much more than just another fan. With Edward, she learns the value of laughter and coffee, rediscovers her music and reawakens her heart. But Edward’s past may jeopardize Ami’s present, unless they can make the music between them into a perfect duet of love notes…

Loved this book! Since I personally find music to be inspirational, this story hits all the right notes: it's fun, has sizzling chemistry, the characters are believable, and the writing captures your heart. You will find yourself forgetting that these are fictional characters as you experience the growth of their relationship as if they are your close friends and you have a vested interest in them becoming a couple. You might even shed a tear or two; I know I did. Do yourself a favor and pick this one up - you'll be glad you did!

This is one of those books that has you cheering in your seat. Ami is in the spotlight 100% of her life considering she is the lead singer/songwriter in a band. She needs an escape,NOW! After catching a ride with Edward, the random fan who happened to help her get past the media, she finds herself alone with him at his home in a remote small town miles from her life in the city. Edward is living his wildest dream. Ami is actually here, asleep in his bed, and wearing his t-shirt. What happens next will blow your minds in a good way. I love the way S. L. Carpenter writes and ties in humor. Edward and Ami are real people with self talk, wicked thoughts, and uninhibited sexual chemistry. Looking forward to the next Muse Series Book #3....

Were to begin - S. L. Carpenter is a wonderful writer and story teller. Love Notes covers the wonderful life of a rock star but shows us the downfall to all the fame. We should all have a savior that shows up and rescues us and lets us live a normal life again. In the case of Ami and Edward come together and each are wanting the others life. As time goes on life happens and things don't always work out as planned. This book has a wonderful story line and the way S. L. Carpenters makes his characters come to life is amazing. Don't let this book pass you by. It is a must read.
