I thought this was a really great story. The characters were likable and relatable. I think it held the aspect of being able to become a full book later if the author chose to do so. I liked the plot....one night in a bar can turn your world upside down. But it does have a hea for the lead character so that was nice. Sometimes things happen for the better when you least expect them to. I think it was well written and flowed nicely. This was my first read from those author and I would definitely read another of their books.

This book was about a woman who was looking for her sister who disappeared six months before. There was a man nicknamed "Whiskey" who ran into the sister at a bar, was drugged by her, and ended up in his apartment and accused of assault. The question is, "What happened?" The story was good and interesting to read but was written poorly in that there was not enough description of people and events, and there was trouble with writing sometimes in past tense and sometimes in the present. There was an HEA, fortunately, but there still needed more explanation of what happened to all the other characters. I usually enjoy a quick read, but this one definitely needed more explanation of events.

Whiskey on the Rocks: I read this very short book and was intrigued. It opened up a whole set of ideas and possibilities. I read Angel Securities Book 1 and loved it. While this was a great start, it was way too short. I understand that it's meant to be a short snapshot for an anthology, but I'd love to read more because the chemistry was building and there's nuances there that need to be explored. Ashley's story sounds interesting too. There wasn't enough here to form more of an opinion though. My first thought was 'that's it?'

Short, but really good! It was nice to "see" the gang again. Just wish this one was longer, but that is just my obsessive need for more story no matter what!

This is the second book in the Angel Security series. This book is a very short read. Before I could sink my teeth into it, it was the end. I enjoyed what I read, but personally would prefer the characters to have more meat on their bones. This was more like a short story for me.

Cari Robe hit another grand slam with this one!!

Whiskey has just found himself in a bind and calls the only people he knows can help him, Brant and Liv. While the three are at a diner trying to piece together what happened, Whiskey can’t keep his mind or eyes on anything but there waitress.

Calla has been working the night shifts at a diner so she could spend her days looking for her missing sister. When Whiskey, Brant and Liv walk into the diner she never expected for her life to take another turn, but I’ll it be a good or bad turn??

I was already a forever fan of Cari Robe’s but this story just sealed it for sure!! This is a short read unlike the rest of the stories Cari Robe but just as fantastic!! Like always, I need more of these guys!!
