When everything is going wrong, and your mine is full of water, what can you do to help your mining crew keep their jobs?

In P. C. Dickles' case, it means getting into far too much debt, to buy a submarine, from the murky depths of the ShadCon Corporation.

Trouble is, ShadCon has fingered Dickles to be their fall guy, to force everyone on the planet Ungwilook to pay back their debts, before the planet goes bust - so who can help Dickles out, before he becomes just another statistic?

So Sheriff Thaddeus Fry, and his Unglok Deputy, Mast Jotham, step in - with their trusty pig-dog friend, Maximus - but is this a step too far, or the possible saving of the planet?

This was such a funny, but crazy, story, and goes to show just how ridiculous things can get, when you step out of your depth!

Love this series

This series of short stories are one of my favorite reads I’ve had since I started KU. The characters are fabulously funny and the sheriff is an old west badass. It’s been a great build up towards an end I will hate to see. I only wish they were not short stories. They just never last long enough.

Season one almost done and it keeps getting better

Action, adventure, romance, and strange alien life forms, just another day in Dark Landing. This has been a fun read from episode one. Matt Dillon meets Buck Rodgers on Tatooine, what more could a sci fi western need?

Episode eleven and the mines of Darklanding are underwater, meaning no work and disgruntled townsfolk. Dickles takes centre stage with a bold plan, but finding himself needing Sheriff Fry to save the day. The scene is set for the final episode to determine if Darklanding will flourish or die away.
