A fun read. Good characters with some key old west figures intertwined in the story. A man serving in the confederate army returns home after the war to find his family murdered. This begins his quest for justice. He meets many people in his travels and gets in to many tight spots. This set was a great old west story that kept the pages turning. Fans of the western genre can't go wrong with this series.

A Series of 3 Western of One Man After the Civil War

GMH has penned three novels about a Civil War veteran who surrenders and begins his trek home to Georgia:
(1) Vengence Road - A man returns home from war to find his wife and daughter have been murdered. He discovers the name of the officer, Captain Pruitt, thus begins a hunt across the country for justice from the murderers.
(2) Blood Gold - Our western man is fired from his job as Deputy Sheriff and heads for Dodge City. He becomes a Deputy until hired by a wealth parent to work with his son who is searching for gold.
(3) Torn Allegiance - Our western man becomes a Pinkerton Agent after the nefarious James Gang. He finds a new love and the two are in a Gun battle where dynamite explodes.
This is an excellent read of three novels in the western genre......DEHS
