I have been meaning to read a book written by Preethi and this was my first one. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it till the end. There were some great twists towards the end, although, I was wondering about the same and the missing link between the content in the prologue and the superstar (won't spoil it for you though by revealing much about it)!
However, I didn't see the closure for couple of things at the end as I kept wondering what happened to the movie they were planning to make and an aspect related to Rudra Dev and his secret!
But otherwise this is a wonderful book to indulge in on any rainy day because of the steamy scenes in it!!!
The simple story has been written beautifully. Our madam is a hoity toity no nonsense princess. And in comes someone who is used to adulation. What happens, sparks fly. The characters have been etched beautifully. Even the supporting characters have a role to play in the story. The prologue sets the ball rolling. And during the course of reading the book, I was looking for the characters mentioned in the prologue. The language is simple and the story moves along with twists and turns. Waiting for Ishaani’s story next.
Lovely story in a fabulous setting! Krtika and Saketh are so right for each other. The sub-plots add spice to the explosive romance. This one is best amongst all I have read by the author.
As always, I am just unable to put down the books written by Preethi! Read this one in one sitting! Such an intriguing plot And twists! Revelation after revelation keeps the reader looking for more - result , slept after hearing the birds at dawn yet dreaming about the starry night at Sravanapura mysterious cottage chamber! A must read!!!!
I interrupted my current reads to read this newrelease 'The princess and the superstar' book 2 in the Sravanapura Royal series
This is the story of Princess Kritika and Superstar actor Saket. A royal mystery along with a royal romance Simple yet very beautifully written story. You will fall in love with these Royals.
Loved it!
You need such stories for a lazy afternoon and also in between heavy reads. If you love books of the romance genre with a hint of thrill or mystery this one is for you!!
What happens when a Bollywood superstar meets a real princess? Sparks fly and love is in the air! Preethi's latest romance saga in the Sravaranapura royal series has loads of drama as well as romance. The author keeps the reader engaged with some inventive twists and turns. A fun read!
This was a sweet, relatively chaste romance novel. While the blurb gave the impression that Saketh was going to be a bit of a heel, he actually was fairly kind to the princess. Kritika was perhaps a bit more naive than I prefer my heroines, but not so much as to strain the bounds of credulity.
The writing is not strong. It may be that English is not the author's first language--in which case, the author speaks better English than I speak any language other than English. But it means that much of the book has very awkward or stiff phrasing. For example:
The things he talked about were things she liked, in fact, she seemed to like the things he talked about.
I struggled a lot with the stiff writing and passive voice. The characters aren't drawn with a great deal of depth. However, ultimately, it really is a very sweet story.
Too good. Feel it's was a movie and hope it's made into one soon. The highs and lows were perfectly set, along with a twist. Read & hope you, too, enjoy it like me. Do read the first book, "Royal Affair", before this, to be in sequence.
A light - hearted read with romance as main ingredient but with a pinch of suspense gives you the right recipe to brighten up one's mood. I loved reading it so much that i managed to finish it in one sitting
I very much enjoyed revisiting the Sravanapura palace this time to read about the love of Princess Kritika and Saketh. An unputdownable royal romance filled with mistery.
It was a fun and interesting hate-turns-to-love tale with oodles of oomph and drama. The twists at the end were most lively and unexpected. Great read!
I was keen to read a romance from an indian author and Preethi doesn't disappoint. It's very well written and the story is pretty engaging with good twists and turns. Worth reading.
The saga of the prince continues. This time the princess falls in love with a Bollywood superstar and then has a fall out with him due to certain circumstances beyond the ken of both.
