When Alex Murphy, the original RoboCop, appears to side against OCP, news reports appear that call into question if he's a risk to the public...and if OCP needs to take drastic measures.
Brian Wood's history of published work includes over fifty volumes of genre-spanning original material.
From the 1500-page future war epic DMZ, the ecological disaster series The Massive, the American crime drama Briggs Land, and the groundbreaking lo-fi dystopia Channel Zero he has a 20-year track record of marrying thoughtful world-building and political commentary with compelling and diverse characters.
His YA novels - Demo, Local, The New York Four, and Mara - have made YALSA and New York Public Library best-of lists. He’s written number-one-selling series for Marvel Comics. And he’s created and written multiple canonical stories for the Aliens universe, including the Zula Hendricks character.
OK, it looks like running Robo wasn't enough. Here comes jumpingRobo. I mean, sure, guys. Whatever you say... you may even turn him into a freakin' Hellraiser. Oh, wait... you just did... OK, whatever. This comic can't get any worse anyway. It's just sitting something there, on the very bottom. Together with that Kill Human... thing... that I'm still trying to unsee. And you know... there's a lot of things this comic has in common with Kill Human. It's pretty much as stupid and full of contradictions as that weird and ugly crossover with Terminator, where RoboCop thought that it'll be fun to... you know... kill John Connor.
For example, all that running stuff aside, in previous issue we saw RoboCop using an SD card. While in this issue they're claiming that RoboCop is an ancient tech in comparison with modern systems. Seriously, what? Did you even read your own stuff, guys? I mean, come on! How can "ancient" tech use modern memory card? I'm pretty sure my old PC from 80s isn't compatible with my smartphone. I just tried to put the SD card into a floppy drive... nope. Didn't work. So, seriously, guys... it's a laughably stupid mistake. And that's the problem with this comic. It's made of such mistakes.
The picture of RoboCop sitting on a shaky wooden chair in this issue can literally describe the whole thing. Brian Wood doesn't even remember the original movie and how important Robo's weight was there! Here's a hint - RoboCop is heavy! Even the police cruiser (originally - modified first gen Ford Taurus) had problems with his weight. But sure, make him run, make him use an SD card, make him sit on the shaky chair like a regular person, sure... You, guys, are the bosses now. He traveled through time in Kill Human, even though he's made of titanium, so... why not? Talking about Terminator... It looks like Brian Wood is taking a lot from there. Actually, it feels like he remembers The Terminator more than he remembers RoboCop. *Sigh* I don't know... I don't know why I keep reading this...
Anyway, long story short, it's the new Kill Human. Which means, if you like RoboCop, do not support this. It's awful in every place possible.
