The story was ok but it seemed the book revolves more around the sex scenes than the plot. Not saying they were not good but they lost me at the slapping the face and mashing his hand over her mouth. To me that’s just not cool but that’s just my opinion.

Man Amy sure did write a dirty one this time. Wow! This book is soooooo hot! These characters are burning up the pages! Whew!!!
So in this book Kathryn is a police detective. She has a new case and she is going deep undercover. Like real deep! She is investigating claims that tech billionaire Eric Black is embezzling money from his own company. In order to get inside his personal circle, she has to answer his ad for a submissive mistress. "That's right he needs a mistress ladies."
Eric has needs. He has dark sexual needs. And he can't find what he is looking for. When he greets the woman whom has applied for the job as his mistress, he is hopeful. She is stunning and curvaceous. Can she endure the rough sex he craves?
So what happens when feelings become involved? Especially when those feelings should only be business. As rules get broken and the lines begin to blur, who is going to come out on top? Will Kathryn be able to arrest Eric? Will Eric forgive the lies?
This book was a great read. It was steady paced and dirty as f**k. These characters can't keep their hands off each other. Literally! This book is so hot you will need some alone time while you are reading. An interesting read for sure. Eric is an a-hole for sure. He sticks his foot in his mouth quite often. Kathryn seems like a tough cookie, but I really don't see her as a detective. She is gullible and sweet.
Overall this book was a great read. Especially for those whom are adventurous readers. Those who like it dirty and a tad bit of masochism. If you are not into masochism at all, then you need to read another book and put this one to the side. There is some whipping, spanking and slapping going on in this book. Not as dark as some books but enough to upset those who don't like those type books. So chose wisely my peeps.

This is a story that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the end!! Kathryn is an detective working undercover trying to gather evidence of Eric who is a wealthy businessman who is stealing money from his company. Eric places an ad for a mistress and Kathryn answers it and the chemistry between them on their first meeting is off the charts. While Kathryn and Eric start their relationship Kathryn finds it harder each day to find any evidence against Eric and the true feelings she has towards Eric are making it hard for her to do her job. Eric gets a feeling that Kathryn has a secret she is keeping from him. Kathryn does the right thing and clears Eric of any wrong doing and tries to explain to him why things went down the way they did but Eric wants not a thing to do with her. Can these two figure out a way around all their feelings and what life throws at them before it’s too late? Some secrets will destroy all the good can they turn theirs around for some good? Kathryn is a cop trying to show that she is good at her job she goes undercover to find proof that Eric is guilty of criminal activity. She responds to an ad he placed for a mistress to further he investigation into his life. Eric is tired of one night stands so he places an ad for a mistress. When he sees Kathryn he knows she is perfect for him. Kathryn knew that it was going to be tough going undercover as his mistress she just never thought that she would develop feelings for Eric. Things heat up quickly between them and soon Kathryn worries how Eric will take the news that she's been investigating him undercover. Will he be able to forgive her?
This was an amazing story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Eric and Kathryn just about melted my kindle it was so hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this to any of my book friends.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Kathryn and Eric. What would you do if wanted to prove yourself on the police force? Would you jump on the opportunity to become the mistress to them man your department is trying to catch just to help build a case against him? What happens when you start to really get to know your subject and find yourself falling for him instead of doing your job? These are the questions that Kathryn has to ask herself and what if her option changes? Can she be the woman she wants to be or will she be who everyone else wants her to be/
This is an amazing story. It has it's ups and downs that I really want to tell you all about. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Woowee! Amy Brent brings some sexy heat and domination in this book and I could NOT put it down. I absolutely loved this. Eric is a sexy and dominating man who knows exactly what he wants, or at least he thinks so. Kathryn is an undercover cop who will do nearly anything for her cases. These two meet and fireworks explode, and the rulebook goes flying out the window. Read this to find out how they navigate their lust, forbidden feelings and uncomfortable surprises. I always think Amy’s books are great reads but. I’m shocked every tine I read another 1 to find it even better than the last. This is story of undercover detective Kathryn and man she’s to try catch if he’s embezzling money from his business as being told to police by an unknown source. They’ve tried everything and can’t find any wrong doing by Eric but Kathryn is determined to catch him. No one can get close enough but when Kathryn finds an ad in the local paper from Eric looking for a mistress she decides this is her way to find out. Eric employs her as his mistress but it’s not long before they both realise it means much more to them and how’s Kathryn going to tell Eric who she really is and has been betraying him all this time. Brilliant story line to keep you enthralled and keep reading

What an amazing book I couldn’t put it down it had it all secret and lies, betrayal, lust and of course love. Kathryn Mann is a undercover cop and is investigating Eric Black for embezzling money from his own company Virus Killing and with all leads going nowhere there has to be away to get close to him and then Eric places and ad online for a submissive mistress and Kathryn gets the ok reluctantly from her boss to apply for the job and the first meeting goes very well and the hot chemistry between the carn’t be stopped and nature takes over and lines get blurred and feeling start to develop. How does it all work out between them when the truth comes out, read this amazing book to find out you won’t be disappointed. I voluntarily reviewed an arc copy of this book for an honest review.

Love Undercover is about a detective, Kathryn, whose job it is to find out if tech billionaire, Eric is guilty of embezzling money. In the course of getting into his personal private circle, she becomes his submissive. However, it does not end at just the physical. Emotions get involved and gets a bit messy.
Brent writes steamy like no other business. But this book is dirty and rough. It’s definitely not our typical romance. It’s definitely on the adventurous side. So be warned.

Amy Brent does never disappoint. This is a well written hot and captivating read. It is written in dual POV which gives the reader much more of the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. I like the mix of love, dirty, hot, steamy, emotional and unexpected twists. It has a nice pace and the story flows well of the pages.
In this story love takes over when not expected. But both characters have a job to do and excapes from their feelings. But fate throws a lot twists on them. Do they have to choose between love and work?
Great chemistry. Passionate romance. Lust, drama, pregnancy, secrets, lies and a emotinal ride makes it worth the read. The hint of darkness gives it a little extra.

Halt in the name of the law(Love)
This book Love Undercover is wonderfully, humorously and beautifully written. I thought it was almost too tame at first but I kept reading and it kept my interest going...
it was like halt in the name of the law(Love) kind of intrigue.
Just a side note; in a part of this book you’ll see that books do sometimes mimic real life...and to make sure proverbially that you never get caught with your pants down even in a dream...lol read the book to find out.

Great story, but when you think of undercover, you think of some kind of suspense. Kathryn goes undercover to investigate a complaint that Eric is scamming off of his own company. Except for a few mentions of her reporting into her Sargent in the first half of the book, you would never know that she was an undercover investigator. The story finally gets interesting when she reveals to Eric what is has actually been doing and then discovers that she is pregnant. Can they admit their true feelings for each other and live their lives as a family? If you can make it through the first half, the second half is worth it. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

But it's not just Eric who is into the kink, Kathryn is right there with him. The things some professions will do to get their answers is pretty intense :)
Don't despair this book actually has a story line that is just another bonus to this well written novel.

Kathryn is an undercover detective. Eric is being investigated for fraud but doesn't know it...Kathryn hooks up with him through an ad he has for a mistress. So while investigating him they are sleeping togeher...She is falling for him as long as they keep seeing each other..when the investigation is over she tells him what she is and what she does...he gets rid of her but later she finds something out and tells him but he doesn't believe her...
The book was a good read but the description of sex made me laugh..I am sorry just the words the author used were laughable...

Writing is weak and repetitive.
I can guess the "bad guy" too easily.
Needs more editing, e.g. he handcuffs her to the bed and then grabs her hands and holds them behind her back.
The weakest Dom/sub dynamic; it's like Brent read FSoG and decided to throw some in her story, while making fun of said book.
And the way the characters speak/think is juvenile. Nobody over the age of 12 refers to it as a "boner".
Do yourself a favour and avoid this. If you want alpha males go read Lauren Blakely instead.

Lots of steamy passion heats up this book. The chemistry and connection between Eric and Kathryn is sizzling and powerful. A well written story keeps your interest well. Secrets and lies will cause major issues between these two. Can they overcome all the pain and drama to embrace the love that neither planned for. A very enjoyable read. Also includes bonus content. I am posting a completely honest, voluntary review.

Amy Brent has outdone herself with “Love Undercover”. I loved the chemistry between Kathryn and Eric. It was loaded with so much heat…you could feel the sizzle. A strong alpha male with a similarly strong heroine. It’s filled with secrets, lust and love. A definite page turner. You won’t want stop reading until you find out how and if they get their HEA!! Another fabulous story Amy. Couldn't put it down till the end. This is Kathryn and Eric story has so much secrets, lies, drama, passion, steam plus OMG there chemistry that was explosive. cant say any more with out given spoilers. I would highly recommended it. Kathryn is a cop trying to find out if the billionaire Eric is guilty of embezzling money. to get more information and to get to know him better she accept to be his submissive. But it is not going as planned and feelings gets in the way. I loved this book it was so exiting. the chemistry between the two of them is strong and it was hot and romantic and filled with drama

So So Hot!!!!
Kathryn is a detective who's just been given a case to solve. Eric has been accused of something that isn't true. Kathryn goes undercover & when she meets Eric she's blown away by how well they get on. Eric is a nice guy & the more time she spends with him the more she falls for him. I really enjoyed this book. Another fabulous story from this author loved Eric and Kathryn loved the idea of her being an undercover cop great steamy chemistry between them couldn't put it down fast paced and so easy to get into. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
