The Estate: Revenge is a Dish Best Served Cold

Rate this book
Best friends Melanie and Diane have grown up together on a 1980s Manchester council estate but when Diane gets pregnant mystery surrounds the identity of the father - is it honest, hardworking Gary or John, the layabout son of the estate pub landlord? Forced into marriage at just 17 to Gary by a domineering father, home life soon becomes dull for Diane, while Melanie's boyfriend John gets involved with local dealer Donny and soon comes up with a plan to set up on his own. Yet all is not as it first appears and secrets, lies and sweet revenge soon occupy the minds of the characters in Karen Woods' latest gritty novel.
