Reverse harem series and 18+.
Two bonus epilogue chapters (exclusive to this box set) are at the end!
G. Bailey is a USA Today bestselling author of books that are filled with everything from dragons to pirates. Plus, fantasy worlds and breath-taking adventures. Oh, and some swoon-worthy men that no girl could forget. G. Bailey is from the very rainy U.K. where she lives with her husband, two children and three cheeky dogs.
This is one of Bailey’s early works, but despite a lack of written sophistication the tale itself is stellar.
Sentence construction, including commas, and in general editing, reduce this novel’s rating to three stars, and if you’re a real stickler for accuracy, I should imagine you will be tearing your hair out. I’m surprised the editing is so bad when you take in the considerable amount of time in which this could have been corrected.
In terms of the reverse harem element, if you’re expecting some steamy scenes of hot and heavy you won’t be finding it here. This is really low grade sex.
Having said all this, the story is somewhat saved by the excellent characterizations and the fun of watching the series unfold.
I have loved this series from the beginning and now it's all together in one set. With extra bonus material. Who could ask for more. This is def a journey you want to take if you like magic, angst, love, a little hate, wars, secrets and an ending that leaves you happy and content but also dying for the spinoff series as well.
I loved these books, I’m extremely disappointed their aren’t more to it, however I know there are spin offs. This was a nice reprieve from the harsh reverse harem books I’ve read and fell in line with the young adult romance trope nicely. I loved LOVED the characters, I don’t know which of the guys I loved the most. I only wish Dabriel and Atti had more ‘screen’ time. As for Wyatt and Jax they were amazing. Total hotties with their brooding. And as for Winter I loved her dynamic with the new characters and her new life. She wasn’t Whiney about all the changes and took it like a TRUE QUEEN. All in all a fantastic series, I’ll definitely be looking at the authors other works.
Writing a review for the whole series was a stupid idea. I hate myself for not reviewing them all separately.
WINTERS GUARDIANS- A great start to this series. I love the supernatural, special snowflake, prophecy filled books I’ve discovered. Dabriel, the angel, in this book comes across as kind of stuck up, and the other guys always call him stiff. Atti, the witch, is so carefree and likes his pranks. Jaxson, the werewolf, the stubborn and hard-headed one that split ties with his brothers after a disaster befell them. Wyatt, the vampire, puts up walls at first and then shows you he’s really more the boy the next door type. Winter, a veterinarian in training who’s only friend is her adopted sister Alex(Who is soon to be mated to Drake, Wyatt’s chosen protector), stumbles across a small wolf with a silver dagger in his leg and takes it upon herself to save him. This decision takes leads to her being protected by his pack, and her first encounter with Freddy the injured wolf’s uncle Jaxson. He’s all surly and “humans are useless, but I’ll protect you for life debt I owe you”. Winter and Wyatt test the waters of their new romance. Winter and Jaxson have a burgeoning romances well, which ignites his intended mate Esta into attempting to murder her. In retaliation for Jaxson calling off their mating, Esta let’s some newly made vampires into their pack land through the ward. There are many losses, including the Alpha Fergus, Jaxson’s last living sibling. This skirmish results in Winter’s death.
WINTERS KISS- This story starts off with Winter waking up, and finding she is now mated to Wyatt, whom she was dating in the last book, a side effect of him using his blood to try to turn her. When she wakes everyone is confused that she has a beating heart. Not really knowing yet that she wasn’t only human, but a half breed and demon and goddess as well. Her newly made vampire status requires her to travel to Wyatt’s home and attend court, for all of the vampire race to see and celebrate. Here we meet Leigha, Drake’s sister, who strikes a deal with Winter to teach her to fight and be her protector in helping her not be mated off with a group of random old men. Because supernaturals mostly mate in reverse harems, due to the lack of women born in comparison to the amount of men. While in trying to discover the Vampire King’s intentions Winter picks up a mini-demon sidekick named Milo. The King has been meeting with all the other race leaders in trying to find the crystal he needs, with Winter’s blood, to bring the Demon King back. When he succeeds not only is he taken over by the Demon King and his vampire palace over run, but the dark witches overthrow Atti’s mother and kill her.
WINTERS PROMISE- At the end of the last book we found out that Winter was in fact related to the Demon King, who is her grandfather. When a barrier goes up around all of Paris where the old Vampire castle resides after their narrow escape from death, our MC’s have to figure where to go from here. While Dabriel attempts to bring the angels over to the right side, and save his race, Jaxson continues on his role as the new King of Wolves, and Wyatt helps to build back the survivors of this race at the old goddess estate, Winter goes with Atti to the lost city of Atlantis, which is the protected witch city, and reclaim his throne. Things take a turn when they discover that Winter will be the one fighting for her Queendom from Taliana, the usurper dark witch Queen. She must face three battles; the opponents picked by the “Queen” and then the crown will be hers. The first fight involves a dragon which is a type of giant demon that Winter decides to free when she discovers who they’ve been treating it instead of killing the being. Following that she must face four elemental witches and survive, which she does with her force field type power. Lastly, the Queen herself faces off against her, Leigha, and Esta with two other witches. They defeat them, but at the cost of Esta’s life. In her dying breath she asks for forgiveness for being the one to lead to Fergus’ death. (Sorry I mentioned it earlier, it happened in this book.)
WINTERS WAR- The first and third books are a little mixed up in my head since I read the series as a pack with the bonus epilogue chapters. So I believe I left the attack on the angels and witches out of Winters Promise’s review. The Demon King has a special kind of power over his family or blood that allows him to control their actions, completely taking over their minds. He used the power to essentially kidnap Winter and make her collapse the barrier around the lost city of Atlantis. He duped Dabriel’s brother Zadkiel to his side, which led to the near entire destruction of the angel race. In the war room trying to figure out how their roughly 9000 survivors of the combined supernatural races will beat nearly the same number of demons, Lucifer introduces to proposal of bribing the hidden civilization of Half-breeds into their fold and protection to increase their numbers. Which after traveling and passing their tests Queen Winter makes a deal with them for their support in the war against the demons, having them join their combined forces. Lily finally delivers on her promise the day of the Winter Solstice, delivering the weapons and Fray. But when they come they are but prisoners, malnourished and hardly trained, and the weapons they were promised can only be used by the Fray. Even though their “Queen”, who of course is an evil B, said they would each bring four weapons and she could take 3 from each for her own people.
The demons attack early forcing Wyatt, Winter, Jaxson, and Milo to commence their sneak attack ahead of schedule. Winter has known for awhile that someone would have to die to force the Demon King back to his hell, wrongly assuming that it will be her who makes the sacrifice for the good of all. When in fact Wyatt has enlisted her other mates into helping him be the one in the end, since he was her savior. And the prophecy calls for his death. He succeeds in forcing the Demon King into the portal and closing it with his death. Where Winer calls Demtra, Elissa, and Isa which help to bring him back; citing that goddesses are also called fates and vampires are like phoenix’s.
All in all I really enjoyed the Her Guardians series by G. Bailey. Over all I thought the importance put on the plot over the normal amount of smut was a nice change of pace compared to most reverse harems. I’m not sure if I will continued on to read the spinoff, in regards the quality of the writing. I do like Bailey’s imagination, and character building for the most part. But the writing got to me, the repetitive mentions of many things was frustrating. And really just caused me to spend more time reading the same thing over enjoying the books as a whole.

Adored this series! I fell for Winter, her amazingly 4 strong, caring, and handsome mates, and all the side character G Bailey created in this fantastic story. I loved all the different races and characters that were included and cannot wait for spinoffs or 2nd generation series. Some of these characters have been added to my favorites lists, especially my book boyfriend/harem list 😂😉☺️.
We get to see Winter be shoved into the supernatural world, go through some tough and deadly situations, fall in love, and gain faithful followers from all the different supernatural races that she protects and leads. She grows throughout the entire story, never giving up despite everything thrown at her. Her mates go through some extremely hard moments as well, including losing loved ones and betrayals; there are always casualties when it comes to war, no one gets away scot-free.
I highly recommend this series!! I loved being able to listen to Books 1-4 on audiobook. Definitely made my drives to and from work super enjoyable haha. Sad to see it end, but happy with how G Bailey ended it and especially the new scenes included in the box set. Loved that Adelaide is going to get her own harem (and they are so similar/have that one thing in common - no I am not going to spoil it for you!). I hope Winter gets more happy endings like in the bonus scenes (can you imagine how adorable all the Winter babies will be!!).
Only minor critiques for this whole series (some repetitive word choices for example). Definitely didn't take away from the story and world that sucked me in from the beginning and gave me a horrible book hangover haha. You could see the author's growth with each book as well. G Bailey is definitely now a one click author for me!
This is an absolutely captivating series by G.Bailey that takes the reader on an exciting adventure. I read the whole box set in one day because once I started it was near impossible to put the books down. While reading I went through a role coasted of emotions, this book is full of action, adventure, power, family and love! I love that Winter is a great MC and she has a great mixture of tough and independent with the softer more vulnerable side! All her mates in this book are a great combination for her and G.Baily has written these RH in a classy and intriguing manner and does not make sex the star of the show and she has really well developed character. Another great thng about this series are the support characters, this book would be nothing without all the other characters that shine from the background. This series is highly recommended for all RH and supernatural story lovers and it is one that I will read over and over again, especially as it is all in this one box set!!
I followed each of the series as they were released, and i absolutely love it! G. Bailey has a way with words, creating a world where the reader gets sucked into the characters and the story. Her Guardians has all of the requirements for a memorable Reverse Harem/ Paranormal Romance. The characters are all engaging with lots of chemistry, the storyline will reach out and grab you and will not let go. There is tons of twists and turn that i did not see coming. I loved the group of guys, each one a different paranormal and each one different, and each one being what Winter needs. Atticus, Jaxson, Wyatt, and Dabriel will make you fall in love with them as well. Her Guardians series will be one of your re-read for the simple enjoyment of a good book.
This was one hell of a series and damn it I loved every bit of it, it was so enthralling, I couldn’t put it down couldn’t sleep because I HAD to bloody finish it, this series has you gripping it from the start and it’s amazing the way the story grows and how the characters grow and change it’s just amazing and the bonus chapters wore just amazing to know how things turn out how happy they all live well not like happily ever after crap but happy with good futures and still a bit of trouble basically kinda realistic lol, anywhoo read this series guys and after dive in to the story of Freddy and he’s friends because that will be interesting, can’t wait to start in that NOW. Definitely recommend it, a must read.
I read each individual book as they were released and loved them! Winter's story drew me in and kept me enthralled through each book and begging for the next!
Winter and her best friend Alex are at University when things start changing. An ancient prophecy comes true, family secrets are revealed and four amazing supernatural princes just for Winter. And those princes, their each from a different race: shifter, vampire, witch and angel.
And...the box set comes with two BONUS chapters at the end that made me so ready for Adelaide's Fate which is the spinoff series Ms. Bailey's working on.
I followed along with this series one by one as they released and instantly fell in love from the beginning. There is so much action, drama and character building in this series that you feel overwhelmed in the best way possible. The relationship between characters is wonderful and not rushed but paced perfectly to keep you entertained and in love with them. I can't say enough good things about this series. The box set has bonus content which made me fall in love with them all over again and made me excited to read Adelaides story by this author. If you want a genuine Paranormal/fantasy RH series with all the wonderful things about the genre we love then you need this asap!!
I read all of these books individually as they were released and then have read them all again in this box set as there are two extra special and extra amazing bonus scenes at the very end. I really enjoyed these books. I loved how the relationships between Wyn and her guys develops over each book, I also like the friendships she builds too. She's a likeable main character who is more than able to stand on her own two feet and has her own strengths to fight her own battles. I would recommend these books to anyone who loves a RH book with hot supernaturals and a strong main character. In this box set you also get the two extra bonus scenes at the end so this is a must read.
I really enjoyed this series! The first book drew me in and I devoured each book immediately after they released. The series is full of action, romance and twists that keep you guessing. It also has a great grouping of guys. I really love that each one is a different species of supernatural. I also like the bond that they have with each other even when their personalities clash. I was excited to see this released in a box set and even more pumped when I saw it had bonus material! I loved the bonus chapters! Even though the previous ending was great, these chapters just gave it something extra. It also further peeked my interest even more for Adelaide's story.
I have read the books before, but as soon as they were released as a box set, I read them all again. Books like these make me love reading and I am so grateful for amazing authors like G. Bailey. Do prepare yourself to feel all the feelings while reading these! And also prepare to want to start all over the moment you finish the last book ;). Winter is a wonderful heroine who's strong, badass and reading her story is a must. G. Bailey, thank you so much for writing her story and thanks for this amazing boxset. I will rereading this more often than would be considered acceptable.
WOW! I flipped pages so fast that I almost got whiplash 😃
Seriously though, this was an epically fantastic series that I'm seriously bummed is over for now. With that prophecy hanging over Winter's head, I just couldn't figure out how the author was going to come up with a plausible HEA in the end. The twist was spot on and tied everything up with a segway into Adelaide's story, which will hopefully give us more of Freddy and his friends, including Josh's secret heritage. I can't wait for more.
I read this book as it came out one by one and loved it. I love that this is now in one box set because I find them so much easier for quick reading. This also had some bonus chapters that I loved. It gives you a bit more into the story and makes it totally worth it to get this box set. I love the characters in this series and want to see some of them get their own story (hopefully!!). The writing was done very well and it was good at yanking you into the story and holding on tight.
Fantastic read! I’ve read this multiple times since it’s release, and still, every single time, get hit with so many emotions. There is so much joy, sorrow, fear, and love in this series. Makes it an absolute rollercoaster to read...and so addictive! Fell in love with Winter, Jaxson, Wyatt, Dabriel, Atticus and all of the friends and family we meet along the way! This is a story I will revisit often.
Having all of the Her guardians series in one set is fantastic. I read all of them individually as they came out, but its nothing like reading them all together, one right after another. If there weren't breaks indicating the next book you wouldn't know, you would think you were just reading one giant book. The story flows so well, the characters are intriguing and the storyline is so creative. I loved every page turning, sleep deprivation inducing bit of it! Totally worth the sleepless nights!
I wished there was more romance between atti,Wyatt,Jackson, deb, and winter. Also is there going to be more about there kids before born as well as Freddy and josh. I would love more books about these characters as well as Harris and his mate and Alex and her mate… thank you please continue in with this serious. Even if it’s not about the originals four but there kids and friends
I read each of these books as they came out and was excited to see they were together in a set! Wyn is a great lead - she is strong and kind. I liked seeing her relationships developing with each guy at their own pace and in their own way. Plus in this box we we get some extra bonus scenes :)
Her Guardians is a fantastic series. I loved that’s its now available in a box set. All of these books are fantastic and I really enjoyed the extra sciences at the end. Even though the previous ending was great, these extra scene just gave it something more. It also Spiked my interest in Adelaide’s story which I’m looking forward to already. Always really enjoy what this Author writes.
This is a really good series where we meet an ordinary girl Winter studying to be a vet, whilst living with her best friend Alex. She quickly realises that the town she lives in, isn’t quite what it seems. She saves a young wolf by her car and her world changes for ever. Good series - Great characters. The bonus chapters finish the story off better than finishing at the original series.
These books are incredible. I bought the complete set and couldn't put them down. Must have finished in only a couple days. Now I'm sad because I don't want it to be over. This author is great and I can't wait for all her other books. Hopefully these characters come through in a spinoff series of hers as there was still more story left dangling.
This is such a great series! I binge read all of these books not very long after they were released and I’m so happy I did. They’re amazing. There’s plenty of action, drama, danger and the whole love and feels stuff! They’re probably one of my favourite series that’s ever been written! The bonus scenes made me so happy, too! If I could give more than 5 stars, I’d gladly do so.
I plowed through this series in a couple of days. I couldn’t put it down. It kept me hooked through out trying to anticipate what’s next. I’m very glad the heroin isn’t some weak damsel in distress that kept whining throughout. She was strong and accepting. Plus the four princes aren’t so bad themselves either. Definitely a must read.
This book has action, romance, and drama! It’s been wonderful reading this series. I could hardly put it down following winters journey from a regular human to finding out she is part goddess and part demon; and then growing into her powers as her romance with her mates unfold.
I loved this series and love that it comes in a nice boxset with bonus content. This boxset has all four books with bonus epilogue at the end which has me ready to dive strait into the Her Fate series (the next-gen series). This series has lots of love, passion, action, drama and suspense I was hooked from page one and loved every moment. Such a great series I highly recommend this boxset.
I truly enjoyed this series. The characters are engaging and humorous and I loved the concept of the four supernatural mates for Winter. The stories flowed seamlessly together and kept me wanting more. Loved that my inner editor was able to take a vacation with this series; excellent job editing the books!
I could not put this down! It was a brilliant RH with a strong heroine and amazingly tough alpha men. The story had me gripped from start to finish and at points i was almost jumping up and down in anticipation! I laughed, i cried and i swooned a lot. Hands down the best book I've read for a long time.
This series maintains a level of suspense that can be full on, but it is rewarding if you can just keep going until it is resolved. It's definitely one that you don't want to put down at times. It's well written with a bunch of challenges for the characters that have to be worked through.
