The evil, violent and barbaric civilization of planet Tarka waged a war against the League of Planets and was winning until the League was able to kill all the Tarkan attacking forces using a DNA weapon which was capable of exploding the Tarkan DNA molecules of every cell in their bodies.
Then the League of Planets destroyed the sun of the planet Tarka’s solar system.
Planet Tarka had no sun to orbit and was travelling through interstellar space… toward Earth.
Was there anybody alive on planet Tarka?
What will happen when planet Tarka slips into orbit around the Earth’s sun 7,000 years later?
In the interest of full disclosure, I have known the author for over 20 years; he and I worked together before his retirement. This review, though, is about the story. I received no compensation for this; I didn't even get the book for free.
I thoroughly enjoy this series so far. I love the pacing of the novel, with a sense of suspense but not of everlasting hopelessness wondering when the plot will resolve. This story builds on the previous, but can also stand alone. It does build just enough interest to want more, without being frustrating with the wait.
