Stevie is a woman on a mission to stop the deadly marathon, known as the Buffalo Run, that claimed the life of her daughter a few years ago. The race takes place in the heart of Yosemite Valley, where genetically engineered buffalo run rampant, hungry for human flesh. Despite the danger, Stevie manages to enter the race, determined to put an end to the madness once and for all.

As she runs the race, Stevie battles both the ferocious buffalo and her own inner demons, haunted by the memory of her daughter's tragic death. But with each step, she becomes more determined to succeed, and put an end to this barbaric spectacle and the corrupt government elites who sanction it.

About the author

David began writing stories on his mother's typewriter when he was ten-years-old. Later, while working full time in the tech industry, David wrote three novels that eventually didn't get published. But the experience provided valuable experience in writing and editing. Skip ahead to 2015 where David quit the tech sector for good and started writing a fantasy series that is planned to span across five novels. In light of the popularity of shorter books in the modern age, the Talam Chronicles will consist of five novella-length books, more like a TV series than a standard book trilogy. The Tempest Guild is the first volume in this epic fantasy saga.
