Tame the dragon. Close the rift. Don’t trust anyone.
Aviva’s new assignment sounds like something out of a fairy tale, except this time the damsel has been tasked with guarding the dragon. Though he’s plenty to deal with all on his own, it soon becomes clear that this monster trapped in human form is the least of her worries. The open rift that brought him to Earth threatens the veil of secrecy protecting the supernatural world, and the vampires of Maelstrom need to find it before they’re exposed. Worse, it seems that they may not be the only ones hunting for it. If the strange power that flows through the rift falls into the wrong hands, it could spell disaster for Aviva and everyone she cares about.
With only a shifty dragon-man and an inexperienced enchantress by her side, Aviva races to find the rift before the enemy does—a task that only grows more challenging when she uncovers a trail of deception and lies that leads straight to the highest ranks of her clan.
Urban Fantasy author Tanith Frost (Purveyor of Urban Fantasy and Supernatural Mayhem). Resurrection and Sanctuary (Immortal Soulless books one and two) available now. Atonement (book three) coming November 7, 2017.
I was most excited to read this book and it definitely didn't disappoint. Tanith has done a great job of delivering a rich world with vampires galore...and now...dragons! We learn more about Aviva but there is so much more that I need to know!! Totally recommend this book and I can't wait for the next installment
This series just does not disappoint. Well, the fact there is no book five yet ( as of October 24 2018) is disappointing. This is the book with little to no Daniel as he’s off, apparently, fighting and hunting rogues. But it is the appearance of a far more interesting character Tagarryn ( sorry, I probably butchered the spelling), a dragon/man. What a great character he has turned into and it appears that he will also be part of the next book. Awesome! Big cudos to the author Tanith Frost ( what is your real name?) for continuing to create a storyline for each book that is totally engrossing and amazing yet is very different in each book. And Che is s genius at character writing/creation. The characters she creates are fo believable in an unbelievable world. I’m (not) patiently waiting for book five now Tanith.
I am absolutely loving this series! I can’t believe the fourth book was so good. Usually by the second book in a series I’m struggling to remain interested but with this series it is the exact opposite I only want more! Aviva is such an interesting, complex, and layered character and with each book we learn more about her. The more I know about her the more I love. I am enjoying every new character that is introduced and the world just keeps expanding. These books are incredibly addicting and so much fun to read. I can’t wait to begin book 5 which released today! If you are looking for a series to begin that you won’t be able to put down I highly recommend giving these books a try. Just be prepared to not want to do anything else but read once you begin!
I enjoyed the read of this book but found the story starting to get very repetitive. She strives to prove her worth to her clan and at the same time endangering herself to do. She's always sexually attracted to the other main character ie this time the dragon you kinda guess that part of the story before you even get there. With this one I did love the idea of a dragon being trapped in a mans body, his description made it easy to imagine him. Again she follows her heart and refuses her clan to do what must be done..
I started this series without prejudice but with a kind of skepticism about another vampire book. I wasn’t really a fan after the first book because I thought the author didn’t flesh her characters out enough, I was left wanting more from her. It was obvious that she could write well and talent was a definite in her favor, by the second book, I was intrigued. I wanted to read the third book. I am now a diehard fan.
These books just get better! I love the action in them and so far, there have been Werewolves and other supernatural things of the night and the battles Aviva has to fight for peace plus other enemies that are trying to bring her down. If you want a good, suspenseful series, this would be the one.
I couldn't stop reading! I had to force myself to stop in order to get some sleep. Absolutely love Taggryn and as always the writing is wonderful! I'm loving this series!
