I’m loving this new fantasy series. Like every other book Ms Haye has written, this one takes the reader on a most fascinating ride. The characters are so real that you become friends with them very quickly. Well, the good ones. Not the bad guy or guys. And this bad guy just keeps getting worse. The Stalwart Emperor wants to take control of the world. But Kyann the new Guardian to the Four Kings is beginning to grow into her new role. Who wouldn’t with four gorgeous magical men to care for! Between them they will fight for freedom. There must be so much more to come! I was a fan of the author’s Clockwork series and this new one is going to be even better, I think. Awesome writing, I’m a fan.

Book two in this series did not disappoint. I enjoyed this book even more than the first one. The story is interesting and I can't wait to find out what happens next. This author has quite a few characters interacting in many of the scenes and they flow beautifully. It's well written and error-free. Waiting, waiting, waiting for book three and thinking I should have been reading in this genre well before now!

This follow-up to the first book is great. This is a fantastic series and just keeps getting better. Kyann's magic has changed and she is still coming to grips with it. The Four Kings are fantastic and I am anxious to finish this series.
