In this volume, some important secrets are revealed. The dusk and dawn play is prepared for the final volume with actors playing them changed. What highlights this volume the most is the reveal of the murder of Kasane's mother. We get to know who killed her and how. So there will be shifts between present and past.
This was an interesting volume. I hope the last one will be better.
Matsuura-san, you have my respect. This story started as mediocre, a tale of the ugly girl who found a lipstick to exchange her face and she used it to start her acting career, just like her mother did. It had elements of fantasy, horror, triler... And sudenly... it turned into a story full of simbolism, of self questioning, of accepting oneself and others. How the greatest changes are on the inside, and not the outside. No matter how much you can change your face, making masks or your clothes, you will not change who you really are. She managed to wear the face of other person, and she still knew that it was not her, that it was not her face. This manga turned into something beautiful, something I am still experiencing. This manga turned from ugly bird into a phoenix. I hope the last volume will keep up with this perception.
Kejutan yang dibawa di volume ini sangat mengejutkan dan terasa seperti plot twist. Hubungan antara Kasane, Nogiku, dan kedua ibu mereka juga mengejutkan. Can't wait to see what happens in the next volume.

This volume explores Kasane's own beauty and ugliness, allowing her to confront her own identity. With more insight on her mother, and her own self, the story sets itself up for the final act, exploring so many themes along the way.
Oh my God!! It’s the penultimate book and volume 13 just dropped a massive bombshell about Kasane’s mother, Izana! I had no idea the story would surprise me this much and I love this series for doing that! This series has been so unexpected and shocking that I could help but be hooked. I have a few ideas on what may come in the final volume but honestly it’s anyone’s guess! Habuta in this volume finally comes to terms with his own sins and it’s interesting to see him in such a different way. This storytelling has been incredible throughout this series and I hope the last volume will not disappoint (I’m sure it won’t). This series as a seriously good psychological horror/thriller! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
