This work discloses the mysteries of the park and shows us Gaudi and Guell -- daring, eclectic, Catholic, freemasons, syncretists and even jokers. The reader will find the pleasure of meticulous investigation combined with the interpretative audacity of a historical mystery novel."
It is a solid professional art history essay. Josep M. Carandell talks about Gaudí's inspirations, his philosophy and friendship with Guëll. As it is proper for a professional art history essay, Carandell brings up other historians' opinions and theories on the park, the architect and the patron. It is an entertaining read improved with pictures, but I guess it would not be of interest to a person who yet doesn't know much about Catalonia.
Good souvenir book. Lots of pictures. The explanations were too long for the park. Would be good to read this before going to understand the park better.
