About the author

Jahnna N. Malcolm is the pen name for husband-and-wife team Jahnna Beecham and Malcolm Hillgartner. Together they've written four musicals, two movies, three CD-ROM games, and nearly one hundred books, including the popular series The Jewel Kingdom. They met in the theater and were married on the stage using Marlowe's famous love letter from "The Passionate Shepherd to His Love" as their wedding vows.

Easy to read. The writing style flowed well. Told in flashbacks mostly. Witches, vampires, a murder mystery, a fire, and a Halloween party.

I first read this when I was a teenager when I borrowed it from a friend. I read most of the books in this series and it was my favourite of all the series. I recently found this book on Amazon and I still enjoyed it. Yes it is a little cheesy but it was fun.
