CHRISTINE, CHRISTINE, CHRISTINE....GIRL GET A NEW EDITOR/PROOFEADER
I love CG as an author and in the past, I’ve enjoyed her books. One things stays increasingly consistent.....her books are allllll over the place and the grammar and misspelling (that’s two I know) If this book is a re-release with added words and corrections, I would hate to read the original version. Characters names changing mid book and jumping from one thought to another while still in the middle of the first thought. I felt I missed something while reading this book. This could have been fleshed out a little more as the premise of the book is really good. I’ve said this before in past reviews of her books.....Gurrlllllllll get and editor/proofreader or change the one you’re using.....hell I’ll take the job at this point 🙄

Ehh...
I normally read reviews before deciding to move forward with a story, and try not to let said reviews impact my reading experience.
However, I'll admit that I spent the majority of this book saying.. "I see what they were talking about..".
Grammatical errors aren't a big issue for me, but come on. At some points, Gia"s name was used in place of the ML and the FMC name was spelled multiple ways all throughout the book.
I couldn't connect with Alsi. Her character just came off as immature, erratic, selfish, thieving and a nymphomaniac.
A slightly judgemental, thieving nymph.
Luca was a much better, but just a secretive as Alsi. His love for her just didn't feel genuine when all they had between them was sex. He even claimed to have been in love with her, before they even had a real conversation.
She had little intention of sharing anything about herself, didn't ever condition the consequences of her actions in relation to her child, and only thought of the thrill.
So, we're really just going to skip over the fact she knew she was stealing from his business "contacts" and didn't care?? Even worse, the author who initially wrote him as being upset about the thief then had Luca (and his family) turn around to be impressed aby Alsi?!?!
Plus, she may have also been still flirting with or entertaining other men after she started back sleeping with Luca and he just brushed passed all of this?
No. Uh uh. Nope.
Everything about Alsi, other than her being a good mother, was grimy. Luca came off as lovesick and sexmatized.
It was just too unbelievable, the FMC wasn't likeable, and the plot was jumping around more than Alsi, Asli name changed.
I like this author, but not this book.

i got this in a blind date book bundle, and this is not at all what i was expecting. i should've looked up the author before purchasing, but i was like, oh this bundle looks cute. there's a lot of grammatical errors that just make this a heinous read and ruins the flow completely. it's also just so cringey. "mr. hardwood" and "ms. juicy" like are we being for real 😭 switching povs MID chapter is something i can't look past either like it's jarring, ruins the flow, and it's just so reminiscent of the awful fics or original stories back on the quizazz/wattpad days, if those sites allowed hardcore smut. augh.
dnf btw. i usually never dnf books no matter how bad they are but i cannot get past this at ALL. i'm so sorry but i will be tossing this book, and the other book i got in my bundle, in the recycling bin because who would i even donate these to 😭

Story stops abruptly
This story was interesting. Characters were unique and appeared to have depth.
However, I don't appreciate not being told UPFRONT the story is not finished. The story abruptly stops, with nothing settled. There was no HEA and for me I'll never get one for these characters because I won't purchase any more of this authors books.
The book has a note that it was recently revised and the author apologizes for all the errors in the previous version. Well, there are plenty of typos, missing and innacurate words left that makes it hard for me to imagine how bad the first version was.
Because of the above, I feel I can't trust Christine Gray as an author and won't waste any further money or time on her projects.

Intriguing!!!
This story is filled with so much juicy drama and suspenseful events. Between MJ/Asli I and Luca there's so much going you'll be reading till the end just to see what else these two will get up to. As much as they seem different these two are so much more alike than they give themselves credit for. Asli's family are so much more than they perceive to be on the surface, it's going to be very interesting to see what else will be revealed. I really liked the dynamics of all the characters, it keeps you reading and looking forward to finding out more about what's going to happen. The follow up is going to be filled with even more intriguing developments. Highly recommend this book!!!

Effort to Finish
I do not like to stop reading in the midst of a story, but it took serious effort to finish this book and I can’t even bring myself to read the next book. I can get past most of grammatical errors if the story flows well. Unfortunately that was not the case. There were so many jumps in the story I had to re-read parts to understand what was happening. The way the story was written added to the grammar problems, and footnotes left in the book, just made it difficult to read. The characters had potential and had the story been written better, I could have liked them.

The way this couple met was a little unbelievable, especially since Luca was famous and I just can’t picture a celebrity traveling alone like that. Their reunion was entertaining. I loved MJ and Luca together and the way Luca jumped right into being a parent. MJ’s secret life was a surprise and it brought a nice twist to the story. The one standout that frustrated me was the lack of editing. Many times I had no idea who was speaking and there were a lot of grammatical errors. I would have rated this book higher if the editing was better.

Mr Hardwood was FREAKING GREAT
Mj and Luca have a usual relationship. There sexual chemistry is crazy, and there both Alpha's. One has got to give in, but I don't see that happening anytime soon with all the Shank hoes coming out from Luca past especially Sophia retarded self. Now Mj has her past coming at them also, with the stepdad and the sick pedophile granddad. Can't wait for pt 2. Mrs Gray you've done it again.

Survival!
Broken hearted is what I am because we have to wait for the next book. But knowing that it's going to be great, because it is a Christine Gray makes the wait bearable. That being said, exactly what city,or part of the country is the story set in? Where is Lucca's home , or Asli's for that matter? What a deceitful, selfish family . Hackers to the right, mafia to the left. Loving the conflicts in between!

Wow!
It's really true that the heart wants what the heart wants. Luca knows what he wants and that's MJ. It's MJ who needs to figure out if she wants to be a complete family with Luca and Chiara. I really hope MJ thinks about her life choices and her happiness as well as her daughters. The storyline's drama and action is priceless , but the sexual chemistry between Luca and MY was very rough, hard and controlled, but necessary for MJ. Great Read!👍 ReneeG

Wonderful Read 4.5 stars
Getting caught up into the life and romance of these two, is truly wonderful.
Unfortunately, the lose of half of point, is due to the different changes to the name of our she-ro. That's the best Bly thing other than that. This book is a great read.

Great book
I really enjoyed this story and the characters were really entertaining . I loved the chemistry between Lucas and Alsi it was smoking hot 🔥 and intense. The twist in the story line was fantastic it drew you in and you wanted more and more. I can't wait to read the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book to my fellow romance readers you will not be disappointed.

Funny and Face paced
The title was unusual but the book’s content was enjoyable. MJ took a respite from life by going on a cruise. Up and coming actor Luca was smitten and they had an awesome time together….no strings attached. Years later they reconnected and found they had a lot to talk about!! Luca had never forgotten her…..I loved how he had a picture of her in the background of his press conferences. I didn’t realize there was a book 2 but I will happily read it.

Why are there footnotes in this story? When is the release of part 2 of this series? You get a to be com towards the end. Please tell me that MJ finally trusts Luca. I see the chemistry but I also feel they still have some growth. I also know that Sophia is up to no good.

Quick read that's just getting started....
Glad I have part two at the ready so I'm not waiting to find out how this all plays out. Seems no one is who or what they proclaim to be. And just how is MJ, aka Asli going to get out the mess she has been in all her life? Can't wait to find out.

MJ/Asli and Luca have a very unconventional relationship and I really enjoy it. Their inner thoughts and banter is really witty and risqué. I give it 3.5 because editing is really needed badly and the cliffhanger comes at an awkward time. Doesn’t make sense but beyond that, this was a sexy and intriguing story and looking forward to jumping into part 2.

Editing Needed
This could have been a good book if someone took the time to proofread and edit before releasing. The grammar, spelling, missing and misused words detracted from the story and made it difficult to follow.

So confused
I loved this book when it started but at about 67% it just went to hell. The words stopped making any sense. The dialogue was off the plot was off. It was really bad. I’m so sad cuz had she had proper editing she would of had an awesome book.

I'm At A Loss For Words...
This book has so many twists and turns. I thought it was just going to be an erotica book but it has erotica, drama, and suspense. MJ is so very complex and definitely not what I expected. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Luca aka Mr Hardwood is head over heals for Alsi aka MJ. Chances of them meeting up again nine years later was slim to none. However, a chance meeting also let to Luca discovering he was a father. The chemistry between the two of them was undeniable
